Development of geoData Aquisition System for Panoramic Image Contents Service based on Location (위치기반 파노라마 영상 콘텐츠 서비스를 위한 geoData 취득 및 처리시스템 개발)

  • geoContents have been closely related with personal life since the Google Earth and Street View by Google and the Road View by Daum were introduced. So, Location-based content, which is referred to geoContents, involving geometric spacial information and location-based image information is a sharp rise in demand. A mobile mapping system used in the area of map upgrade and road facility management has been having difficulties in satisfying the demand in the cost and time for obtaining these kinds of contents. This paper addresses geoData acquisition and processing system for producing panoramic images. The system consists of 3 devices: the first device is 3 GPS receivers for acquiring location information which is including position, attitude, orientation, and time. The second is 6 cameras for image information. And the last is to synchronize the both data. The geoData acquired by the proposed system and the method for authoring geoContents which are referred to a panoramic image with position, altitude, and orientation will be used as an effective way for establishing the various location-based content and providing them service area.

Synthesis method of elemental images from Kinect images for space 3D image (공간 3D 영상디스플레이를 위한 Kinect 영상의 요소 영상 변환방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a synthesis method of elemental images from Kinect images for 3D integral imaging display. Since RGB images and depth image obtained from Kinect are not able to display 3D images in integral imaging system, we need transform the elemental images in integral imaging display. To do so, we synthesize the elemental images based on the geometric optics mapping from the depth plane images obtained from RGB image and depth image. To show the usefulness of the proposed system, we carry out the preliminary experiments using the two person object and present the experimental results.

Translation Techniques for Mobile Games (모바일 게임을 위한 번역 기법)

  • In the mobile gaming market, it is desirable for a specific content to be served on various platforms. Recently, it is a very important issue in the market for mobile games. This problem incurs extra cost, because we need to redevelop existing contents to be executed on another platforms. Moreover, the release of a new platform has spent much more effort and cost developing many contents in short period of time. Therefore, we need to research about translation techniques that enable the existing contents to run on a different platform. In this paper, we propose translation techniques for mobile games. The techniques can be applied on converting mobile contents to runnable contents on a new platform. To realize it, we design and implement a source-level contents translator which is targeting Android platform using the suggested techniques. Our source-level contents translator is implemented systematically by applying compiler theory. Also, we solve partially translation problems between different programming languages. The translator has been implemented separately divided into three tasks such as kernel porting, library mapping as well as language translation. We expect these techniques to increase utilization of existing mobile games and contribute to vitalizations of mobile contents industry.

  • Many countries have established eBook standards adequate to their environments. In USA, OEB PS is announced for distribution and display of eBooks, in Japan, JepaX is announced for storage and exchange, and in Korea, EBKS is made for clear exchange of eBook contents. These diverse objectives lead to different content structures. These variety of content structure will cause a problem in exchanging them. To correctly exchange eBook contents, the content structure should be considered. So, In this paper, we study conversion methods of standard eBooks contents based on Korean eBook standard, with contemplating content structure. To convert contents properly, the mapping relations should be clearly defined. For this, we consider standard's structure and extension mechanisms, and use path notations and namespaces for precise description. Moreover, through analysis of each mapping relationships, we classify conversion cases into automatic, semi-automatic, and manual conversions. Finally we write up conversion scripts and experiment with them.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel approach of user interface for querying Digital Video Library. Through the proposed user interface, the users can specify the query more easily and precisely for image and video retrieval, resulting in better retrieval accuracy of the system. The prototype of the proposed system allows specification of character, atmosphere, implement, mapping and event for the query. This prototype not only provides users with the convenience of query specification in various aspects, but also can easily be extended to the retrieval systems of various multimedia data.

  • LLE(Locally Linear Embedding) has been proposed to compute low dimensional, neighborhood preserving embeddings of high dimensional data. Here, we should perform whole processes of LLE when untrained patterns are presented. In this paper, we propose a training of MLPs(Multilayer Perceptrons) to perform the mapping of LLE from high dimensional data to low dimensional ones.

  • 정보화 사회가 도래하고 인터넷과 네트워크기술이 발전함에 따라 전자적 거래 등 원격지간의 비 대면 거래방식은 시대가 바뀜에 따라 피할 수 없는 현실이 되고 있으며, 이에 따른 시스템 불법침입에 의한 사고사례를 우리 주변에서 쉽게 접할 수 있다. 따라서, 인증되지 않은 외부 침입자로부터 시스템의 정보보호를 위한 많은 노력과 연구가 병행되어왔다. 즉, 침입탐지 시스템 및 암호화, 복호화 알고리즘을 적용하여 소프트웨어 측면에서의 보안기법과 Firewall 등의 하드웨어적인 보안기술이 도입 및 실용화 되고있는 것이다. 따라서, 본 논문은 침입 탐지 기법에 관련된 것들과 과 암호화 방식들의 소개 그리고 정보 보호 방안으로 내부적 안전을 위한 프로그램적 기법으로 데이터를 저장할 때 중요한 자료들을 데이터베이스에 저장할 때 SMA(Security Mapping Array)에 보관된 임의의 암호화 코트를 이용하여 암호화하여 저장하고 필요할 때 복호화 하는 시스템 내부적인 보안 방법을 제시하고자 한 다.

RST Invariant Digital Watermarking Based on Image Representation by Wedges and Rings

  • This paper describes a new image watermarking scheme invariant to rotation, scaling and translation (RST) attacks. For obtaining the invariance properties we propose to present an image of watermark by wedges and rings to convert its rotation to shift and then utilize the shift invariance property of the Direct Fourier Transform (DFT). But in contrast to conversional schemes based on the Fourier-Mellin transform (FMT), we do not use a log-polar mapping (LPM). As a result, our scheme preserves high quality of original image since it is not underwent to LPM For withstanding against JPEG compression, noise addition and low-pass (LP) filtering attacks a low frequency watermark is embedded into middle frequencies of the original image. Experiments with various attacks show the robustness of the proposed scheme.

Panoramic Image Generation for the Virtual Environment (가상환경을 위한 파노라마 생성에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm that generates a panorama image for reconstruction of image-based virtual environment. Proposed algorithm can generate panorama image from input images using the projective transform based on the feature model and a fully immersive image-based virtual environment according to the user's view point by the sphere mapping. Especially, proposed algorithm supports robust methods of camera rotation and is applied to various images to estimate ist performance.
