  • Barrage language is a new media language based on Internet video. It is a representative expression of the Internet environment regardless of its format and content. As a unique movie viewing characteristic provided by the barrage function, the timeliness of feedback, entertainment, and interactivity of the content are excellent. Characteristic. Designing Online Public Education Contents in Korean Medicine Using the Rapid-Prototyping Instructional Systems Design Model

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to design Korean-themed online public education content in Korean medicine using rapid prototyping instructional systems design (RPISD). This study presents cases of developing and converting face-to-face general education programs designed to increase the interest in and understanding of Korean medicine for the public into online programs within a short timeframe. Methods: This qualitative study is design and development research, which used the RPISD model to analyze the available resources utilized in the rapid development of public educational content and propose systematization and optimization measures by analyzing the needs of clients, learners, and the environment. The <Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine(DUBG)Open Course> was developed according to the model procedure, which involved needs analysis, development of course materials and manuscript, and storyboard creation and its filming and editing. Usability tests were conducted at all stages, and the opinions of clients, instructors, experts, and instructional designers were accommodated and reflected at each stage. Results: Using the rapid prototyping model, <Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine(DUBG)Open Course> was organized into five classes of 20 minutes each. Each class was developed in Korean and included English, Chinese, and Japanese subtitles in addition to Korean under the cooperative instructional design among clients, subject-matter experts, instructional designer and learners. Conclusion: The cooperative instructional design of stakeholders is significant in developing Korean medicine public education content online through extensive interaction and feedback from stakeholders in the early stage of educational content development.

Nutrient composition and taste properties of Sargassum fusiforme from the Wando region

  • This study examined the nutrient composition and taste properties of Sargassum fusiforme (SF) from two locations in the Wando region (Wando-eup: WD-A, Sinji-myeon: WD-B) and control region in Korea. The protein content of the SF in Wando regions was higher than that of the control, while the carbohydrate content was lower. The WD-A region had the lowest calorie content and the highest ash level when compared to the other regions. The potassium, iron, and zinc contents of the in WD-A were significantly higher than the other groups, but the sodium, phosphorus, and magnesium contents were lower. Free and constitutive amino acids, as well as the total and essential amino acid content, were higher in Wando regions than in the control. When analyzing using an electronic tongue, the SF from the WD-A region had the highest umami and sourness and the lowest bitterness and sweetness. Therefore, the results of this study can serve as fundamental data for seaweed research in the Wando region.

  • Increasing product variety based on product family and product platform provides a company with a competitive advantage over its competitors. As products become more complex, short-life cycled and customized, the design efforts require more knowledge-intensive, collaborative and coordinating efforts for information sharing. By sharing knowledge, information, component and process across different families of products, the product realization process will be more efficient, cost-effective and quick-responsive. Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is used for analyzing data and forming semantic structures that are formal abstractions of concepts of human thoughts. A Web Ontology Language (OWL) is designed for applications that need to process the content of information instead of simply presenting information to humans. OWL also captures the evolution of different components of the product family. The purpose of this paper is to develop product variety modeling to increase the usefulness of common platform. In constructing and analyzing product ontology, FCA is adopted for conceptual knowledge processing. For the selected product family, product variety Ontology is constructed and implemented using prot$\'{e}$g$\'{e}$-2000.

  • This study intends to propose an evaluation tool for analyzing the sense of immersion of realistic VR game contents in the metabus game industry, which is rapidly increasing recently. This paper presents an analysis tool to measure the degree of immersion after selecting three types VR games for research, and analyzing the immersion way method of the game. The research method analyzes how the user and the sense of immersion formed in the storytelling in the game can have an effect. Based on the results, we present an sense of immersion analysis and measurement method for evaluating the usability of VR game contents, which is a key element in the metaverse era. Furthermore, it expands the immersion element that appears in storytelling to the game industry and seeks a new direction of development through connection with the VR game industry.

Analytical Method for Determination of Microstructure of SBR and SBR Content in Blended Rubber Composites Using Pyrolytic Technique

  • Styrene-butadiene rubber(SBR) is a copolymer of styrene and butadiene. It is composed of 1,2-unit, 1,4-unit, and styrene, and its properties are dependent on its microstructure. In general, rubber composites contain a single rubber or a blended rubber. Similarly, SBR is used by mixing with natural rubber(NR) and butadiene rubber(BR). The composition of a rubber article affects its physical and chemical properties. Herein, an analytical method for determining the microstructure of SBR using via pyrolysis is introduced. Pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry is widely used to analyze the microstructure of polymeric materials. The microstructure of SBR can be determined by analyzing the principal pyrolysis products formed from SBR, such as 4-vinylcyclohexene, styrene, 2-phenylpropene, 3-phenylcyclopentene, and 4-phenylcyclohexene. An analytical method for determining the composition of SBR/NR, SBR/BR, and SBR/NR/BR blends via pyrolysis is introduced. The composition of blended rubber can be determined by analyzing the principal pyrolysis products formed from each rubber component.

Understanding the Kenyan Broadcasting Market for Successful Export of Korean Media Content (한국 방송콘텐츠의 성공적인 케냐 진출을 위한 현지 시장의 인식과 장애요인에 관한 연구)

  • This research paper aims to inform and suggest methods in which Korea Media content could successfully enter the African broadcasting market. It also seeks to suggest preparatory steps and propose various policies that Korean government could provide, to aid the export process. In order to maximize the Korean media content exposure in the Kenyan market, increased financial support for subtitles and dubbing as well as launching a Korean culture center is suggested. In addition, to encourage more diverse channels to show the Korean content, joint content production between Korea and Kenya should be considered. Moreover, in analyzing the social, cultural, ethnic and local characteristics of the Kenyan people, the paper seeks to identify the most efficient method in which Korean wave could be more widespread in Kenya. Since virtually no prior research papers exist on Kenyan's social and cultural characteristics and their thought process on the Korean media content, this paper seeks to provide valuable insight and policy implications for Korean media policy makers.

Fun Factors of New Media Content for Kids (유아용 뉴미디어 콘텐츠의 재미 요소)

  • Media can be considered as a type of play for kids in this new media era. Researches on media content for kids have mainly focused on educational effect or specific features such as design, but a great deal of kids content is created for fun and enjoyment. This study analyzes fun factors of the most popular kids content on Youtube: Kongsuni and Friends, Carrie and Toys, and Pinkfong. The result shows that seven fun factors can be grouped into three categories; 1) Self-determination and independence are related to the media environment; 2) Sensuous vividness, empathy, and physical dynamic are related to the content; 3) Self-expression and social interaction are related to associated activities. This study extends our perspective on kids content by analyzing fun factors in the comprehensive process of media consumption.

  • As UCI (Universal Content Identifier) identification system becomes a national standard for content distribution, many digital contents are distributed through UCI identification system. However, problems associated with copyright infringement and copyright contracts occur due to lack of copyright information. ICN (Integrated Copyright Number), a code system developed for copyright management, includes copyright-related information for the purposes of usage settlement and accounting, illegal usage monitoring, and content filtering. ICN, however, has no information about distribution and content properties. Therefore, the linkage and integration between UCI and ICN can be a basis for the transparent and effective distribution of digital contents. In this paper, we propose a model for linking and integrating UCI and ICN, developing the efficiency in the value chain of each identified system by analyzing political factors and key technical elements between the two identification systems.
