In this paper, we propose a web-based content syndication system in which users can easily choose Internet protocol television (IPTV) contents. This system generates personalized content guide to provide a list of IPTV contents with respect to users' interests and statistics information of their online social community. For this, IPTV contents and relevant metadata are collected from various sources and transformed. Then, the service and content metadata are processed by user metadata including audience measurement and community metadata. The metadata flows are separated from content flows of transport network. The implementation of IPTV content syndication system demonstrates how to arrange IPTV contents efficiently from content providers to the end user's screen. We also show that the user metadata including online community information are important for the system's performance and the user's satisfaction.

Enterprise Content Integration (ECI)is an IT strategy that improves enterprise' competitive advantages by integrating enterprise wide information and content into a unified view, which in turn supports efficient and effective decision making. Content Syndication Systems (CSS) is a solution that implements the ECI strategy. In semi-conductor industries, it is usual that enterprise content is scattered over tens of legacy systems. Therefore, engineers in semi-conductor companies spend a few hours to locate required engineering information on a daily basis as part of their jobs. In this paper, we develop an enterprise CSS system that integrates enterprise wide contents into a unified view that is suitable for semi-conductor industries. For this research, we first define enterprise CSS, then identify their systems requirements. Then we propose an architecture supporting the identified requirements, and present the implemented prototype. One of the most important requirements is the individualized subscription rule setting for engineering information. For this purpose, we developed methods to represent the information properties and subscription rules.

웹 상에는 수 많은 데이터가 존재하고 있지만 원하는 데이터를 수집하여 서비스 제공을 위한 콘텐츠로 가공해 내는 것은 쉽지 않다. 그 이유 중 하나가 바로 표준화된 데이터 제공 방식이 없기 때문이다. 따라서 사이트 콘텐츠의 일부 또는 전체를 다른 서비스에서 이용할 수 있도록 해주는 콘텐츠 신디케이션은 매우 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 콘텐츠 신디케이션의 대표적 포맷으로 XML에 기반한 RSS와 Atom, OPML 등이 있다. 이러한 신디케이션 포맷에서 제공하는 링크를 통틀어 피드 주소라고 한다. 피드 주소를 이용하면 기존 HTML을 파싱하는 것 보다 빠르게 데이터를 수집할 수 있고 데이터 제공자는 간편하게 데이터를 외부로 제공할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 피드 주소를 기반으로 하는 웹 데이터 수집 시스템을 구현하여 수집하여 얻은 데이터를 바탕으로 해당 데이터를 가공하고 활용하는 방법을 제안하였다.

오프라인으로 학원 및 과외등을 통해서만 제공되던 강의는 웹의 발달로 인해 점점 온라인을 통한 교육으로 이동하고 있는 추세다. 이러한 웹 강의를 편리하게 이용하기 위해 RSS(Really Simple Syndication)기술을 이용하여 편리하고 쉽게 필요한 정보만을 추출하여 강의를 제공함으로써 학생은 더욱 편하게 강의 컨텐츠를 이용할 수 있고 강의자는 1:1채팅을 통해 학생과 친밀감을 높이는 것은 물론 강의를 더욱 잘 이해할 수 있게 도움으로써 획기적인 강의 방식을 제공하는 것에 있다.

웹 사이트에서 제공하는 콘텐츠의 일부 또는 전체를 다른 서비스에서 이용할 수 있도록 해주는 신디케이션 기술인 RSS(Really Simple Syndication)는 다양한 웹 사이트 상의 콘텐츠를 요약하고, 상호 공유하고 주고받을 수 있도록 만든 표준이다. 본 논문에서는 과학기술 연구자들이 웹상에 존재하는 신디케이션 된 과학기술 콘텐츠(또는 feed)를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있도록 주제를 중심으로 수집(aggregation)하여 저장(archive)하는 시스템을 구현하고 이의 활용방안을 제안한다. 또한 제안된 중앙의 수집기(aggregator) 시스템에 사용자가 직접 채널을 등록함으로써 다른 사용자에게 RSS 채널을 추천하고 이를 통해 연구자간의 지식 공유를 유도할 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 Content의 배급 및 구독을 위해 등장한 시맨틱 웹의 대표적인 기술인 RSS 를 통하여 모바일 환경에서의 사용자가 원하는 Content를 전달 받을 수 있는 시스템을 제안하고 있다. 이 시스템은 DCD Server를 사용하여 각 Content에 대한 정보를 담고 있게 되며, UDDI를 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 Content를 키워드 검색으로 통해 지정할 수 있게 된다. 또한 사용자가 선택한 각각의 Content는 RSS를 통하여 사용자의 모바일 Client로 전달되게 된다.

Coupled schemes between service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Web 2.0 have recently been researched. Web-based content providers and telecommunications company (Telecom) based Internet protocol television (IPTV) providers have struggled against each other to accommodate more three-screen service subscribers. Since the advent of Web 2.0, more abundant reproduced content can be circulated. However, because according to increasing device's resolution and content formats IPTV providers transcode content in advance, network bandwidth, storage and operation costs for content management systems (CMSs) are wasted. In this paper, we present a user centric CMS for open IPTV, which integrates SOA and Web 2.0. Considering content popularity based on a Zipf-like distribution to solve these problems, we analyze the performance between the user centric CMS and the conventional Web syndication system for normalized costs. Based on the user centric CMS, we implement a social Web TV with device-aware function, which can aggregate, transcode, and deploy content over social networking service independently.

This paper gives an overview of RSS technologies and implement a suitable RSS client for educational blogs. In addition to that, this paper propose a method for classification system in order to improve a RSS client.

선택적 정보 제공인 SDI(Selective Dissemination of Information) 서비스는 이용자가 탐색 전략을 입력하여 서비스를 신청하면 데이터베이스가 갱신될 때마다 자동으로 이용자에게 공지되는데, 본 연구에서는 이러한 SDI 서비스를 XML 포맷인 RSS로 제공하기 위해 동적 RSS 채널 생성기를 개발하였다. RSS는 웹사이트에 갱신되는 정보를 신속히 전달-교환하게 해주는 도구로서 많은 정보를 갱신과 동시에 받아볼 수 있게 해준다. 이러한 RSS를 활용함으로써 이용자는 미리 신청한 맞춤정보서비스 뿐만 아니라 키워드 검색에 대한 검색결과 간략화면을 XML포맷의 RSS로 받아봄으로써 웹사이트를 방문하지 않고도 실시간으로 재검색 결과를 확인해 볼 수 있다.

학생들이 다른 언어를 배우고 익히도록 동기부여를 하기 위해 기발한 독창성과 새로운 기술을 필요로 할 것이다. 멀티미디어를 이용하면 수업과 과제를 모든 학생들에게 흥미롭게 해줄 것 이다. 그들에게 관심이 있는 스마트 폰의 사용과, 노트북과 무선 인터넷의 사용으로 학생들은 그들의 언어 기술을 실제로 어디에서나 공부할 수 있을 것 이다. 예를들어 팟캐스트, 인터넷망을 통해 다양한 콘텐츠를 제공하는 서비스 Podcasts 도구 방법 등을 통해 ESL(English as a Second Language) 학습이 매우 용이하게 되었다. 즉 이러한 멀티미디어 tools를 이용한 외국어 듣기 연습 서비스 등 다양한 교수 학습방법 개발이 필요하다. 효율적인 영어 교육을 위한 도입된 이러한 여러 멀티미디어 기기의 사용은 여러 가지 독특한 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서 영어 교육을 최대화하기 위해 멀티미디어의 특징과 그 활용에 대해 연구하고자 한다. 디지털교과서 및 영어 수업을 위한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 도구 활용, 인터넷 방송은 물론 원격화상 수업, 사이버 학습 등 1:1 영상 교육을 이용한 유비쿼터스 학습 환경을 제시하고자 한다. 더 나아가 최첨단 u-러닝 기기의 체험을 통해 미래 교육 변화를 조망하고 또한 다양한 수업기기와 변화된 수업시스템 모델을 통해 영어 교육의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
