  • This study focused on the state that CMS(Content Management System) is not widely implemented in Korea and many companies lack a sense of the necessity. The author proceeded as follows. First of all, the definition of CMS was mentioned. Next, the history and current state of CMS in domestic and foreign nations were proposed. And the methodology and rationales were explained to use CMS effectively. The results may be summarized as follows. First, the appropriate design should be processed. Second, value-oriented management (not technology-oriented) should be aimed. Third, feedback by publicity and responses should be activated. When a content provider adopts CMS, the provider should take special care of long-term communications and trust building with non-technical users.

  • The purposed of this research is to develop multimedia content usage analysis service platform. In the proposed platform, the content gazing behaviors of the users are monitored and profiled in real-time and a set of quantifiable metrics is provided. These metrics are used to determine the closeness of the users' behavior from the intent set by the provider. Based on the evaluation, it is possible to assess the effectiveness of the contents themselves as well. The content usage assessment is accomplished by utilizing the intention flow and the intent weight, which are embedded into the content by the content provider. Proposed methodology can be effectively applied and used in various application domains such as in education and in commercial advertisements.

  • Affiliate marketing is classified as a type of online advertising, where merchants share a percentage of sales revenue generated by each customer, who visited the company's website via a content provider. Content provider, referred to as an affiliate, usually places an online advertisement at its website. For the past few years, there have been a lot of companies or individuals who participate in affiliate marketing. Generally speaking, most of them have websites and post the merchant's ads on their own websites. However, building and maintaining websites have some technology requirements. The widespread use of Social Network Service (SNS), especially microblog-based SNS such as Twitter and Sina Weibo, provides opportunities for individuals who want to be content providers of affiliate marketing. Since information spreads quickly on microblog-based SNS and the easy in targeting customers, it is both an effective and an efficient tool to do affiliate marketing. The relationship between a content provider and the potential customer, which is referred as "tie strength", is quite an important issue in such situation. This paper proved that service characteristics of the microblog-based SNS (security, community drivenness and navigability) and content quality all had positive influence on click-through intention, while tie strength played a moderating role. For the group with strong tie, tie strength is crucial in influencing click-through intention. While for the weak tie group, content quality was very important. Finally, we proposed some implications for both academics and practitioners.

Multimedia Fingerprinting in DCT Block (DCT 블록의 멀티미디어 핑거프린팅)

  • In this paper, it was implemented an algorithm of multimedia fingerprinting in DCT block. For the improvement of the limits of DRM’s ability, the proposed algorithm could be decided a responsibility boundary to judge a traitor who falsified the content according to perform separately a watermarking of content provider and a fingerprinting of content user. At the test image size($128{\times}128$) and block size($8{\times}8$) of the content provider, the measured PSNR is Inf~46.6dB with watermarking strength ${\Theta}=0.5{\sim}1.2$, and at a number of users and user's code length are n=7,15,31,63 and l=7,15,31,64 each, the measured PSNR is Inf~46.1 with fingerprinting code length l=7,15,31,63. Finally, a traitor tracing of the falsified content is approached to a trace ratio 1 which is extended to n-1.

  • With the developing of current multimedia broadcasting, user will be provided for lots of various content through the various channel and media. Content provider and consumer want the various service using content with the better quality which is fit to users' preference. For transmitting this content in the limited transmission channel capacity, it needs to transmit the highly compressed content. The content of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 enables the various content service that provides the lower size and the resonable quality, and Personalize(Targeting) service just provide the contents that user more wants and likes. This paper presents the study on the targeting service using compression of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 and the adaptation of Embedded Graphic application program using it.

  • This study was intended to point out the limit of existing digital content-centered studies, or approaches from the viewpoint of the supplier and in the aspect of business profit model and find ways to assess the quality of digital content, considering the characteristics of digital content. For this, the study is to apply value innovation strategy to digital content assessment, to analyze the applicability, and to propose a new and practical framework for digital content assessment method. To this end, this study selected the global No. 1 search service provider Google and local portal site Naver search service. The study on assessment factors by value innovation strategy was based on existing literature, while user-value elements in that respect were confined to information quality, interactivity, communication, interactive storytelling, and usability. This study objectified the relation with the value innovation strategic analysis, through qualitative and quantitative analyses on value elements of search service users.

  • 무선 인터넷 시장의 급속한 발전으로 인해 컨텐츠에 대한 사용자들의 다양한 요구가 증가되고 있고, 그로인해 WML과 WML Script를 개발자가 실제와 같은 상황에서 편리하게 개발할 수 있는 환경이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 CP(Content Provider)들이 쉽고 편리하게 WML(Wireless Markup Language) 컨텐츠(Content)를 개발, 브라우징하기 위한 WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) Emulator의 설계와 구현에 대하여 기술한다. WAP Emulator는 WML 파싱(parsing) 모듈과 인터페이스(Interface)모듈, 그리고 Data Send/Receive 모듈로 구성되며, 디코딩(Decoding)된 WML 문서를 파싱하여 브라우저로 보여준다.

  • Set-top Box (STB) has evolved from being a device just sitting on top of a TV shelf to a device providing a gateway to the Internet for a home network, receiving services from multiple content providers, and enabling and ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) for the streaming media. IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), with its promise to provide a converged access network for multimedia service delivery (such as Triple play & Quadruple play services), has to guarantee QoS support. To enable QoS in IMS-based networks, we have designed a set-top box which provides feedback to the service provider to ensure end-to-end QoS. Our set-top box is designed to provide virtual platforms such that it can support multiple service providers. Each service provider is able to manage its own multimedia streams and ensures the desired network performance for each flow. The set-top box also works as a Home Gateway and provides end-to-end QoS support to the client nodes.

  • We have several kinds of DRM(Digital Rights Management) solutions which protect and control a content based on the cryptography. The current technology of DRM focuses on the content management in the purchaser. It doesn't consider the content management in the other principles like creator, provider, and distributor and doesn't provide the efficient environments of a content distribution. In this paper, we propose a digital content distribution system which processes a content and metadata with electronic copyright management.

  • Platform carriers that were welcomed due to their open policy are now having Vertical-Systematization. As the Vertical-Systematization to strengthen platform's quality intensifies, the qualities of OS, network and manufacturing abilities may be weakened. As the environment changes, consumers move from attractive platform to attractive contents and the killer contents will become the key success factor. Hence, the platform carriers will aim to acquire killer contents to attract more users causing excessive competition for Killer Contents Sourcing. The following paper examines the problems that will stem from fierce competition among platforms, problems regarding the Contents Sourcing and solution for the content-providers.
