A design and implement of web standard e-book content authoring tools platform based on 3D interaction (3차원 상호작용기반 웹 표준 e-book 콘텐츠 저작도구 플랫폼 설계 및 구현)

  • 최근 다양한 ICT기술의 발전으로 인간의 사회, 문화, 교육 등의 많은 분야에 변화가 일어나고 있으며, 많은 기술들이 인간 삶의 영역에 적지 않은 영향을 미치고 있다. 그 중에서도 인터넷 웹 표준 기술의 발전은 e-book 시장과 교육용 콘텐츠의 변화가 많을 것으로 예측하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 N-Screen 지원과 반응형 웹 기술 지원을 위한 3차원 상호작용기반의 e-book 콘텐츠 저작도구 플랫폼 설계를 연구하였으며, 6가지 영역의 상호작용 콘텐츠 개발이 웹 표준에 의해 저작될 수 있는 저작도구 모형을 연구 개발 하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 e-book의 저작 형태는 웹 표준 기술 HTML5와 ePub3.0 표준을 기반으로 제작할 수 있도록 콘텐츠 플랫폼을 설계 하였으며, 사용자와의 상호작용, 시뮬레이션 등의 기능을 쉽고 빠르게 제작할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스를 연구 적용하였다. 향후 본 연구의 결과로 전자책 산업 발전과 교육 분야의 활용 향상을 기대하고 있으며, 지식의 체계를 좀 더 다양하게 제공 할 수 있는 e-book 콘텐츠 연구의 원천이 되기를 기대한다.

  • 프로그래밍 교육에서 Python 교육은 현재 기본으로 다루고 있다. PIP 의 우수한 확장성에 의해 수많은 분야에서 Python 을 이용하여 연구 및 개발을 수행하고 있다. 게임 개발에서도 Python 은 적극 활용되고 있다. 메모리관리와 최적화를 위한 Low Level 개발 부분에서는 C/C++, C#, JAVA 를 사용하지만, 게임 시스템 기획자의 경우 프로그래머에게 직결되는 문서를 작업하기 위해 객체지향적 시점을 작성해야 하기 때문에 Python 을 통해 기획자와 프로그래머의 의사소통 향상으로 인해 결과적으로 개발 시간을 단축하는 효과를 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Python 교육과 접근성이 좋은 Web Contents 를 개발하기 위하여 KM Engine 을 개발하였다. 경민 대학교 게임콘텐츠과 학생들을 대상으로 교육과 Web Contents 를 개발한 결과 Unity, Unreal 에 비해 학생들이 매우 편하게 개발하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. KM Engine 은 경민 대학교 학생 들 뿐 아니라 게임 제작을 배우고 싶어하는 이들과 이들을 학습시킬 목적을 가진 이들에게 기여하길 바란다.

Design of e-Learning System for Spectral Analysis of High-Order Pulse (고차원펄스 스펙트럼 분석을 위한 이러닝 시스템의 설계)

  • In this paper, we present a systematic method to derive spectrum of high-order pulse and a novel design of e-Learning system that deals with deriving the spectrum using concept-based branching method. Spectrum of high-order pulse can be derived using conventional methods including 'Consecutive Differentiations' or 'Convolutions', however, their complexity of calculation should be too high to be used as the order of the pulse increase. We develop a recursive algorithm according to the order of pulse, and then derive the formula of spectrum connected to the order with a newly designed look-up table. Moving along, we design an e-Learning content for studying the procedure of deriving high-order pulse spectrum described above. In this authoring, we use the concept-based object branching method including conventional page or title-type branching in sequential playing. We design all four Content-pages divided into 'Modeling', 'Impulse Response and Transfer Function', 'Parameters' and 'Look-up Table' by these conceptual objects. And modules and sub-modules are constructed hierarchically as conceptual elements from the Content-pages. Students can easily approach to the core concepts of the analysis because of the effects of our new teaching method. We offer step-by-step processes of the e-Learning content through unit-based branching scheme for difficult modules and sub-modules in our system. In addition we can offer repetitive learning processes for necessary block of given learning objects. Moreover, this method of constructing content will be considered as an advanced effectiveness of content itself.

User-Focused Package Contents Application System for Interactive IPTV Services (대화형 IPTV 서비스를 위한 사용자 중심의 패키지 콘텐츠 운용 시스템)

  • Recent IPTV services still remain as simple broadcasting services that cannot make the most of interactive features together with various content-associated data. So, IPTV providers are making efforts to break from monopolistic style, so as increasing the user's participation m service. However there is an interoperability problem because no common solution is employed across different providers. To solve this problem, there needs to be a framework for a framework for generating, sharing and distributing package contents. In this paper, we propose user-centered package contents application framework for interactive IPTV services. We also design a package content authoring and consuming system which plays core parts in the proposed framework.

  • In this paper, we investigate a problem with Web-based learing contents and introduce the solving method of the problem. To be more accurate, existing Web-based learning contents were one fixd and uniformed courseware file with a large size and HTML format. Also, They were written files with authoring tools of which depended upon providing a multimedia vender. These learning contents were difficult to reuse among cyber education systems and change the applicable contents to the learner for learning experiences in time. So in this paper, we produced reusable and interopreable learning contents among instruction designers and education systems. They were deconstructed into smaller chunks and added to its properties. For the purpose of this producing method, we used the pedagogical designs for units of reuse. These are just turorial link-more and tell-more and was implemented with CBD method. As a result, The problem of existing Web-based learning contents system was resolved and then the power of understanding about objectified learning content was increased for the learner and instruction designers.

  • geoContents have been closely related with personal life since the Google Earth and Street View by Google and the Road View by Daum were introduced. So, Location-based content, which is referred to geoContents, involving geometric spacial information and location-based image information is a sharp rise in demand. A mobile mapping system used in the area of map upgrade and road facility management has been having difficulties in satisfying the demand in the cost and time for obtaining these kinds of contents. This paper addresses geoData acquisition and processing system for producing panoramic images. The system consists of 3 devices: the first device is 3 GPS receivers for acquiring location information which is including position, attitude, orientation, and time. The second is 6 cameras for image information. And the last is to synchronize the both data. The geoData acquired by the proposed system and the method for authoring geoContents which are referred to a panoramic image with position, altitude, and orientation will be used as an effective way for establishing the various location-based content and providing them service area.

  • In the N-Screen environment, HTML5 standard-based content development is inevitable. However, it is still passive the development of HTML5 manipulation type contents due to high development cost and insufficient infrastructure. Therefor we propose an efficient contents development model by convergence multimedia contents (such as video and audio) with HTML5 documents that can implement dynamic manipulation for user interaction. The proposed model is designed to divide the multimedia and iframe areas in the HTML5 layout page included the player for integrated contents control. A Study on the effectiveness of computers and mobile devices on learning foreign languages

  • This study aims to show that "Computer-assisted language learning (CALL)" and "Mobile-based language learning (MALL)" actually influence education, deviating from the traditional "drill and practice" method in foreign language education and learning due to the development of information and communication technology (IT). Specifically, for first-year college students who have relatively poor English skills and do not feel enough motivation for English learning, I will produce educational video content using multimedia authoring tools and upload it to the e-learning system. Video content is configured to be accessed and utilized through various media such as computers, smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc. Ultimately, an exploration of educational value behind the utilization of IT devices in English language Teaching(ELT) and the Second Language Acquisition (SLA) theory behind effective instructional use of such technology are presented. That is to say, the effectiveness of language learning using information and communication technology (IT) is introduced. The article closes by suggesting how to use computers and mobile media for 'Flipped Learning'.

A Study on Children Edutainment Contents Development with Hand Gesture Recognition and Electronic Dice (전자주사위 및 손동작 인식을 활용한 아동용 에듀테인먼트 게임 콘텐츠 개발에 관한 연구)

  • As the existing edutainment contents for children are mostly comprised of educational tools which unilaterally induce educatees to passively respond to them, the content-creating methodologies in terms of which active and voluntary learning is made possible is urgently needed. In this paper, we present the implementation of the tangible 'electronic dice' interface as an interactive tool for behavior-based edutainment contents, and propose a methodology for developing edutainment contents for children by utilizing the recognition technique of hand movement based on depth-image information. Also proposed in the paper are an authoring and management tool of learning quizzes that allows educators to set up and manage their learning courseware, and a log analysis system of learning achievement for real-time monitoring of educational progress. The behavior-based tangible interface and edutainment contents that we propose provide the easy-to-operate interaction with a real object, which augments educatees' interest in learning, thus leading to their active and voluntary attitude toward learning. Furthermore, The authoring and management tool and log analysis system allow us to construct learning programs by children's achievement level and to monitor in real-time the learning development of children educatees by understanding the situation and behavior of their learning development from the analytic results obtained by observing the processes of educatees' solving problems for themselves, and utilizing them for evaluation materials for lesson plans.

A Content Analysis of the 'Adopted Family' of Major Textbooks in Child and Family Welfare Studies: With Focus on the Stereotypes of and Prejudiced Descriptions about Adoptive Families (아동·가족복지학 전공교재의 '입양가족'에 대한 내용분석 - 입양가족의 고정관념과 편견적 서술을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to investigate prejudiced descriptions of adoption and adoptive families in the major textbooks in the field of child and family welfare studies. To this end, we analyzed the compositions and contents of eleven different textbooks and found four necessary changes to recommend: first, we found it essential for authors to have a comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of the open adoption culture and adoptive families. Second, we observed the need for the revision of prejudiced terminology found in textbooks' descriptions of adoptive families - about adopters, adoptees, and adoption institutions. Third, we advise an enhancement in the understanding of adoptive families reflecting both qualitative and quantitative understandings of the open adoption culture and perspective about social prejudice against adoptive families. Finally, we advocate for the inclusion adoptive families as one of the diverse forms a family can take, not only in the curriculum of child (children's rights) studies but also in the curricula of other family-related disciplines such as family welfare and healthy family theory. Based on these four changes, we propose a new approach to authoring including a multifaceted review of the subject composition and the content of the major textbooks and revision of the overall contents of the textbooks.
