유한유쇼법을 이용한 미소절삭기구의 절삭인자 규명에 관한 연구 (A study on the effect of cutting parameters of micro metal cutting mechanism using finite element method)

  • The finite element method is applied to analyze the mechanism of metal cutting, especially micro metal cutting. This paper introduces some effects, such as constitutive deformation laws of workpiece material, friction of tool-chip contact interfaces, tool rake angle and also simulate the cutting process, chip formation and geometry, tool-chip contact, reaction force of tool. Under the usual plane strain assumption, quasi-static analysis were performed with variation of tool-chip interface friction coefficients and tool rake angles. In this analysis, cutting speed, cutting depth set to 8m/sec, 0.02mm, respectively. Some cutting parameters are affected to cutting force, plastic deformation of chip, shear plane angle, chip thickness and tool-chip contact length and reaction forces on tool. Several aspects of the metal cutting process predicted by the finite element analysis provide information about tool shape design and optimal cutting conditions.

  • Golf ball spin rate after impact with club is created by the contact force, which is greatly influenced by ball and club mass, material, impact speed, and club loft angle. Previous studies showed that the contact force is determined as the resultant force of the reaction forces normal and tangential to the club face at the contact point. The normal force causes the compression and restitution of the ball, and the tangential force creates the spin. Especially, the tangential force takes either positive or negative values as the ball rolls and slides along the club face during impact. Although the positive and negative tangential forces are known to create and reduce the back spin rate, respectively, the mechanism of ball spin creation has not yet been discussed in detail. It is shown in this work that the linear impulse of the tangential force is directly related to generation of back spin rate of golf ball. The linear impulse can be calculated from the tangential force, which depends upon many factors such as ball and club mass, material, impact speed, and club loft angle. In this research, the influence of the contact force between golf club and ball is investigated to analyze the mechanism of impact. For this purpose, the contact force and the contact time at impact between golf club head and ball are computed using FEM.

박막의 그래핀 도핑 효과와 접합 특성 (Graphene Doping Effect of Thin Film and Contact Mechanisms)

  • The contact mechanism of devices is usually researched at electrode contacts. However, the contact between a dielectric and channel at the MOS structure is more important. The graphene was used as a channel material, and the thin film transistor with MOS structure was prepared to observe the contact mechanism. The graphene was obtained on Cu foil by the thermal decomposition method with $H_2$ and $CH_4$ mixed gases at an ambient annealing temperature of $1000^{\circ}C$ during the deposition for 30 min, and was then transferred onto a $SiO_2/Si$ substrate. The graphene was doped in a nitrogen acidic solution. The chemical properties of graphene were investigated to research the effect of nitric atoms doping. The sheet resistance of graphene decreased after nitrogen acidic doping, and the sheet resistance decreased with an increase in the doping times because of the increment of negative charge carriers. The nitric-atom-doped graphene showed the Ohmic contact at the curve of the drain current and drain voltage, in spite of the Schottky contact of grapnene without doping.

  • 게코 접착 시스템은 보(beam)의 형상을 가지는 seta와 접착패드 역할을 하는 spatula로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 보 접착 모델(ahhesive beam contact model)을 사용하여 게코(gecko) 접착 시스템의 접착 메커니즘의 해석을 수행한다. 보 접착 모델은 접촉면에서 불균일한 응력 분포를 가지는 특징이 있으며, 접촉면에서의 최대 인장 응력(tensile stress)에 의하여 접착/분리 메커니즘이 결정된다. 접착패드 역할을 하는 spatula는 최대 인장응력을 감소시키는 역할을 하며, 이로 인해 접착력이 증가한다. 역방향 하중에 대해서는 spatula에 의하여 최대 압축 응력(compressive stress)이 감소하며, 이러한 현상에 의하여 접착력과 분리력의 비대칭성이 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 보 접착 모델의 해석을 위해 유한요소법(Finite Element Method)을 사용되며, spatula effect를 위한 해석 결과가 제시된다.

고정 감속비트랙션 드라이브의 압부력 발생장치에 대한 연구 (Study on a loading mechanism for fixed ratio traction drives)

  • A novel loading mechanism of wedge roller type has been developed. This type traction drive has long system life and high efficiency by changing the pre-load on a contact point. And this loading mechanism does not need precision machining. So it has, as opposed to the conventional loading mechanism, an advantage in saving manufacturing cost. In this paper, by analyzing pre-load generating mechanism, spring pre-load and the roller size are defined and the stress on the contact point by pre-load is calculated. On the basis of this analysis, the model of wedge roller type traction drive for the test is made and was carried out its performance test. It can transmit input torque up to 1.5 N m, with high efficiency over 91% up to 98%, with slip rate under 2.5%.

  • This paper presents a method for tolerance design using the Taguchi Method(TM) and general purpose mechanism analysis program. Also the method is tolerance design with repect to performance improvement of a mechamism. To use the orthogonal array, mathematical model of a mechanism is established and experiments are carried out by the general purpose mechanism analysis program. The contact model is used to consider a clearance effect. This method is applied to the VTR Deck mechanism. This method can be used in tolerance design of general mechanisms.

  • 본 논문에서는 컴플라이언스 특성의 발을 갖는 이족 로봇의 다리 메커니즘을 제시한 후, 이족 로봇을 위한 전형적인 보행 패턴에서 발의 접촉 반발력과 이것이 무릎과 힙 관절에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고자 한다. 이러한 분석은 보행 로봇이 걸음 동작을 수행할때, 발의 물리적인 접촉력의 영향을 파악하는데 있어서 유용하고, 다리 메커니즘의 관절 사양을 결정하는데 활용될 수 있다. 결과적으로, 로봇 발 메커니즘의 컴플라이언스 특성이 발의 접촉 반발력에 의해 영향을 받는 보행 다리 관절의토오크 특성을 완화시키는데 기여할 수 있음을 보인다.

Inertia Force Problem and Nozzle Contact Mechanism of Linear Motor Drive Injection Molding Machine

  • This paper presents the inertial force problem of ultrahigh-speed injection molding machine using linear motors, and presents its solutions. To make very thin products by injection molding, very high injection speed is required, and linear motors are used for this purpose. However, direct drive by linear motors may cause brief nozzle separation from the sprue bushing because of the inertia force which is as large as the total output thrust of the linear motors, and this momentary separation can cause molten plastic to leak. In this paper, two solutions are proposed for this inertia force problem. One is the mechanical cancellation of the inertia force, and the other is to increase the nozzle contact force. With the latter solution, the stationary platen bending worsens, so a new nozzle contact mechanism is also proposed, which can prevent the stationary platen bending.

  • It is important to have exact informations on the real contact mechanism between spheres and rough plates under various normal loads, sphere diameters and combined surface roughnesses. Most previous papers have proposed the questions of the errors which might be incurred when the Hertzian theory is used to calculated the contact deformation and the contact pressure of practical higher pair. So, this study investigates the real contact deformation between a rough sphere and a rough plate by three experimental methods far from any assumptions and theorems. The soot coating method among them is used successfully. Accordingly, this study presents the simple dimensionless parameter to predict such errors to occur in the design of high pair members and to govern the real mechanism of two-body higher pair.
