내부감쇠가 건성마찰력을 받는 공작기계의 안정성에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of an Internal Damping on the Stability of Machine Tool Engineers Subjected to Dry Friction Force)

  • This paper discussed on the effect of an internal damping on the stability of an elastic material subjected to dry friction force. Dry friction forces act tangentially at the contact surface between a moving belt and elastic material. The elastic material on a belt moving is modeled for simplicity into a cantilevered beam subjected to distributed follower force. In the analysis, the discretized equations derived according to finite element method are used. The impulse response of the beam are studied by the mode superposition method to observe the growth rate of the motion. It is found that the internal damping in cantilevered beam subjected to distributed follower force may act destabilizing.

  • We have studied a weird phenomenon on the High Voltage Impulse Track Circuit (HVITC). The biggest problem is that can not recognize the fault states, despite the fact the rail is broken. This study has shown that current HVITC systems can be operated even an ill-contact state of impedance bond lead wire. This study was carried out using various methods, such as measurements using an oscilloscope with voltage and current probes, simulations using PSCAD/EMTDC software tool, and analysis of measured data. Especially, we have simulated the fault state through bypass circuits using PSCAD/EMTDC software tool. We made a model of track circuit and simulated various types of fault states.

사업용 버스 차량 충돌사고 해석 (Analysis of Commercial Bus Vehicle Collision Accidents)

  • 본 논문에서는 승용차와는 다른 버스 차량의 사고 관련 특징 및 버스가 개입된 교통사고의 특성과 유형들을 조사 분석하였다. 그런데, 충돌사고에 버스와 같은 대형 차량이 포함되어 있을 때에는 노면으로부터 버스 타이어를 통해 전달되는 외부 충격량을 무시할 수 없으므로 기존의 강체 충돌 모델을 그대로 적용할 수가 없게 된다. 따라서, 이에 대한 해결 방안으로서 타이어 충격량을 직접 고려하거나 혹은 버스 차량을 마치 이동 장벽처럼 고려하는 해석 모델을 작성하였다. 또한, 실제 사고에서 차량의 충돌 접촉점의 위치나 회전 운동과 관련한 계수들을 추정할 수 없는 경우가 많으므로 질점 충돌모델의 활용방안도 함께 모색하였다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 해석 모델을 실제 사고사례에 적용하여 기존의 타이어의 충격량을 고려하지 않는 해석 결과와 비교하여 버스 차량의 속도 등을 실제와 유사하게 구할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

동력형 욕창예방제품의 교대부양 압력 프로파 특성 (Alternating Pressure Profile Characteristics of Powered Pressure Ulcer Preventing Devices)

  • The APAM's quantitative effectiveness and comparative study in preventing and treating pressure ulcer has not been sufficiently evaluated mainly because of uncertainty of pressure load input and lack of interpretation of dynamic perfusion recovery characteristics of soft tissue. The purpose of this paper was to quantify and analyze the alternating pressure characteristics of APAM as a preventive measure for pressure ulcers. To quantify the alternating load to human body, we introduced alternating pressure profile concept and developed parametric model of the profile. Regarding pressure level and cycle time, 3 global and 7 local periodic parameters were used to define the profile such as light, standard, typical and heavy duty profile shape. Pressure impulse ratio of light duty is the lowest but pressure fluctuation is significantly high. For the same duty shape, contact conditions are changed with alternating cycle time and more dramatically in shorter alternating cycle time conditions. We can conclude that if we use shorter alternating cycle time on APAM's operation we can get more positive effects regarding to inflated contact time condition. We proposed the quantitative methods on tissue viability study of external loading by simultaneous measurement of interface pressure and tissue perfusion with proper alternating pressure profile conditions.

하퇴 의지 사용자의 족저압 분포 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Characteristics of Foot Pressure Distribution in Trans-tibial Amputee Subjects)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the static pressure, dynamic pressure, dynamic pressure-time integral, relative impulse, and contact time between the sound lower limb and amputated lower limb in trans-tibial amputee subjects using Parotec system. Seventeen trans-tibial amputee subjects wearing endoskeletal trans-tibial prosthesis voluntarily participated in this study. The results were as follows: 1) In static standing condition, there were significantly higher static pressure in sound lower limb insole sensor of 10, 14, 15, 18, 19, 23, and 24 and in amputated lower limb insole sensor of 9, 12, and 16 (p<.05). 2) In dynamic gait condition, there were significantly higher dynamic pressure in sound lower limb insole sensor of 2, 18, 22, 23, and 24 and in amputated lower limb insole sensor of 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16 (p<.05). 3) In dynamic gait condition, there were significantly higher pressure-time integral in sound lower limb insole sensor of 2, 4, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, and 24 and in amputated lower limb insole sensor of 5, 11, 12, and 15 (p<.05). 4) In dynamic gait condition, there were significantly higher relative impulse in sound lower limb insole sensor of 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, and 24 and in amputated lower limb insole sensor of 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 15 (p<.05). 5) In dynamic gait condition, there was significantly higher percentage of contact time in push off phase of sound lower limb and in support phase of amputated lower limb (p<.05). These results suggest that trans-tibial amputee subjects had characteristics of shortened push off phase due to unutilized forefoot and of lengthened support phase with higher pressure in the midfoot.

고온초전도 SMES의 절연특성 (Electrical Insulation Characteristics of HTS SMES)

  • Toward the practical applications, on operation of conduction-cooled HTS SMES at temperatures well below 77 K should be investigated, in order to take advantage of a greater critical current density of HTS and considerably reduce the size and weight of the system. Recently, research and development concerning application of the conduction-cooled HTS SMES that is easily movement are actively progressing in Korea. Electrical insulation under cryogenic temperature is a key and an important element in the application of this apparatus. Using multi wrapped copper by Polyimide film for HTS SMES, the breakdown characteristics of models for turn-to-turn, that is surface contact model, were investigated under ac and impulse voltage at 77 K. A material that is Polyimide film (Kapton) 0.025 mm thickness is used for multi wrapping of the electrode. Statistical analysis of the results using Weibull distribution to examine the wrapping number effects on breakdown voltage under at and impulse voltage in $LN_2$ was carried.

An Accurate Analysis for Sandwich Steel Beams with Graded Corrugated Core Under Dynamic Impulse

  • This paper addresses the dynamic loading characteristics of the shock tube onto sandwich steel beams as an efficient and accurate alternative to time consuming and complicated fluid structure interaction using finite element modeling. The corrugated sandwich steel beam consists of top and bottom flat substrates of steel 1018 and corrugated cores of steel 1008. The corrugated core layers are arranged with non-uniform thicknesses thus making sandwich beam graded. This sandwich beam is analogous to a steel beam with web and flanges. Substrates correspond to flanges and cores to web. The stress-strain relations of steel 1018 at high strain rates are measured using the split-Hopkinson pressure. Both carbon steels are assumed to follow bilinear strain hardening and strain rate-dependence. The present finite element modeling procedure with an improved dynamic impulse loading assumption is validated with a set of shock tube experiments, and it provides excellent correlation based on Russell error estimation with the test results. Four corrugated graded steel core arrangements are taken into account for core design parameters in order to maximize mitigation of blast load effects onto the structure. In addition, numerical study of four corrugated steel core placed in a reverse order is done using the validated finite element model. The dynamic behavior of the reversed steel core arrangement is compared with the normal core arrangement for deflections, contact force between support and specimen and plastic energy absorption.

런닝화의 일반인솔과 기능성인솔의 운동역학적 비교 분석 (Biomechanical Comparison Analysis of Popular Insole and Functional Insole of Running Shoes)

  • These studies show that I applied to functional insole (a specific S company) for minimizing shocks and sprain people's ankle arising from running. How to an effect on human body which studied a kinematics and kinetics from 10 college students during experiments. This study imposes several conditions by barefoot, normal running shoes and put functional insole shoes ran under average $2.0{\pm}0.24$ meter per second by motion analysis, ground reaction force and electromyography that used to specific A company. First of all, Motion analysis was caused by Achilles tendon angle, Angle of the lower leg, Angle of the knee, Initial sole angle and Barefoot angle. Second, Contact time, Vertical impact force peak timing, Vertical active force and Active force timing, and Maximum loading rate under impulse of first 20 percent and Value of total impulse caused Ground reaction force. Third. The tendon fo Quadriceps femoris, Biceps femoris, Tibialis anterior and gastronemius medials caused. electromyography. 1. Ground reaction force also showed that statically approximates other results from impact peak timing (p.001), Maximum loading rate(p<.001), Maximum loading rate timing (p<.001) and impulse of first 20 percent (p<.001). 2 Electromyography showed that averagely was distinguished from other factors, and did not show about that. Above experiment values known that there was statically difference between Motion analysis and Ground reaction force under absorbing of the functional insole shoes which was not have an effect on our body for kinetics and kinematics.

소방대원들의 작업자세에 따른 족저압력 분석 (Analysis of Foot Pressure according to the Work Postures on Fire Fighters)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the difference of foot pressure according to the firefighter's work postures for providing the basic information to prevent Musculoskeletal disorders. This study was conducted by 9 male firefighters. Work postures were selected for rescuee handling, fire hose and hydraulic rescue equipment work postures. These were divided into 3 position, "High", "Middle" and the postures of taking out and letting down hydraulic rescue equipment were analyzed as starting point and end point respectively. Foot Pressure was used to analyze contact area, peak pressure, and maximum force in terms of work postures, and compared between fire hose and hydraulic rescue equipment work postures. The results of foot pressure are as follows. According to the results of rescuee handling work postures, one person handling posture showed wide contact area and foot pressure showed the highest at right foot. Accoridng to the (High), (Middle), (Low) postures of fire hose, the results didn't show the difference among the contact area, peak pressure and maximum force. As the results of hydraulic rescue equipment work postures, (Low) postures showed the highest in terms of the right foot of contact area, peak pressure and maximum force and (High) postures showed the highest in left foot. The increase of foot pressure lead to be inconvenience of low extremity and muscle fatigue for maintaining postural control cause pain. Thus, it is necessary to design insole-equipped working shoe for reduce the impulse and effect of foot during the rescuee handling work which standing out as foot pressure.

건국대학교 충격파 풍동의 성능 해석에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Performance Analysis of Shock Tunnel)

  • Two-dimensional Navier-Stokes codes are used to simulate the shock tunnel in Konkuk university. In order to design experiments in impulse facilities properly and to interpret data from such facilities, it is necessary to understand how the flow approaches steady state. This is done by determining the transient flow field and flow establishment time around a given model. This will be accomplished by developing appropriate CFD codes which solve the Navier-Stokes equations, and simulating the starting process and resulting unsteady viscous flow phenomena. The starting process in a shock tunnel consists of multiple shock interactions and contact discontinuities, which are difficult to solve with the classical shock capturing schemes. A recently developed high resolution scheme is adapted for resolving the unsteady phenomena of those multiple shock interactions and contact surfaces during the starting process. The bifurcation phenomenon due to the interactions of the reflected shock from the end of the shock tube with the boundary layer generated by the incident shock becomes of particular interest. By comparing with the experiment results, the accuracy of the numerical analysis is validated and it is demonstrated that the properties which can hardly be obtained through the experiment can be estimated.
