This study investigates the disposal of clothing and the purchasing behavior and usage of environmentally friendly clothing. After compiling data from 500 consumers who reside in Seoul, it was analyzed by ANOVA, t-test, Chi-square, and multiple regression analysis. The behavioral score for buying environmentally friendly clothing was lower than the average value of the three. The lowest value was for the purchase of used clothing, but the purchase of environmentally friendly clothing was also shown to have a low value. For the usage and disposal of clothing, unused clothing, which was mostly just left in dresser drawers, was the most preferable method. Also, exchange or resale via anInternet mall was shown to be lower than the other methods. The analysis between clothing purchase and usage as well as the disposal of clothing with socio-demographics, consumption tendencies, opinions of friends and groups, commercials and advertisements, and environmental perceptions points out differences among groups. There are statistically significant differences in the purchasing intentions of slow fashion according to socio-demographics. Female consumers between $20{\sim}25$ years of age were more likely to purchase slow fashion clothing. Consumers with a high consumption tendency who were highly influenced by commercials, friends, and groups were more likely to purchase slow fashion clothing. The influence of the average clothing expenditure on an environmentally friendly purchasing behavior and the influence of the age group on repairing and usagewas the most effective. All in all, contribution to an environmentally friendly perception was the most effective variable.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between experiential value, customer loyalty and eating out tendency of dessert $caf{\acute{e}}$ in college students. This survey was conducted for college students who have used dessert $caf{\acute{e}}$ mainly in college areas where dessert cafes are concentrated in Seoul. The survey was conducted on August 17, 2017 to 28 August. A total of 250 copies of the questionnaires were distributed and 208 copies of valid data were used for the analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, emotional experience value and service experience value were found to affect customer loyalty, and cognitive experience value did not affect customer loyalty. Second, the economic and health seeking type showed a positive(+) moderating effect between emotional experience value and customer loyalty, and negative(-) moderating effect between cognitive experiential value and customer loyalty. Next, atmosphere seeking type showed a moderating effect between service experience value and customer loyalty, and the eating out seeking type showed a moderating effect between emotional experience value and customer loyalty. Finally, convenience seeking type showed positive(+) moderating effect between cognitive experiential value and customer loyalty, and negative(-) moderating effect between service experience value and customer loyalty. Based on the results of this study, the dessert cafe operator can grasp the experience value of college students in order to secure college students who are using dessert cafe as loyal customers. In particular, the relationship between experience value and customer loyalty, it is expected to provide useful data for constructing a specific positioning strategy according to each segment market.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors that encouraged the industrial growth of Koran city gas industry during 1995-2009, by carrying out input-output structural decomposition analysis(IO-SDA) using Syrquin's model. The results show that the main factors which contributed to the growth of the Korean city gas industry are final domestic demand(48.4%) and technological change(38.6%). By examining the results for the three periods of 1995-2000, 2000-2005, and 2005-2009, the tendency of changes between the two main factors is drawn. In contrast to the drastic decreasing tendency of the final domestic demand's contribution to the growth, 84.5%, 18.9%, and 15.4%, respectively for each period, there is an increasing tendency for technological change as seen by the results of 7.4%, 70.0%, and 42.2%, respectively. These findings may be a result from the fact that the rate of gas supply in the residential sector has been saturated recently. They are also reflective of the energy consumption trend of industrial activities as there has been a shift in the approach for supplying energy, from the traditional approach which use fossil fuels to the newer approach which uses environmentally friendly energy sources. For the continued growth of the city gas industry, policymakers sould consider greater investment in the expansion of city gas supply infrastructure for industrial activities rather than for the residential sector.
In the view of the importance of material reduction due to the jump in oil and steel prices, an optimized structural system for lifting lugs was developed. Such a system is needed hundreds of thousands of times a year. A direct design process was added to this developed optimized system to increase the design efficiency and provide a way of directly inserting a designer's decisions into the design system process. In order to verify the system efficiency and convenience, several new prototype lug shapes were suggested using the developed system. From these research results, it was found that the slope of the main plate of the lug structure has a tendency to move from about 45 degrees to about 60 degrees and the design weight was reduced from an initial value of about 32kgf to about $15{\sim}19kg_f$ after the redesign. Based on these initial research results, an efficient reduction in steel weight was expected considering the enormous consumption of lug structures per year. Additionally, a more detail structural analysis through local strength evaluations will be performed to verify the efficiency of the optimum structural design for a lug structure.
We have investigated the correlation analysis between global temperature anomaly and two main factors: geomagnetic activity (aa index) of Earth external factor and CO2 of Earth internal factor. For this, we used NOAA Global Surface Temperature anomaly (Ta) data from 1868 to 2015. The aa index indicates the geomagnetic activity measured at two anti-podal subauroral stations (Canberra Australia and Hartland England) and the CO2 data come from historical ice core records and NOAA/ESRL data. From the comparison between (Ta) and aa index, we found several interesting things, First, the linear correlation coefficient between two parameters increases until 1985 and then decreases rapidly. Second, the scattered plot between two parameters shows a boundary of the correlation tendency (positive and negative correlation) near 1985. A partial correlation of (Ta) and two main factors (aa index, CO2) also shows that the geomagnetic effect (aa index) is dominant until about 1985 and the CO2 effect becomes much more important after then. These results indicate that the CO2 effect become very an important factor since at least 1985. For a further analysis, we simply assume that Ta = Ta(aa)+Ta(CO2) and made a linear regression between (Ta) and aa index from 1868 to 2015. A linear model is then made from the linear regression between energy consumption (a proxy of CO2 effect) and Ta-Ta(aa) since 1985. Our results will be discussed in view of the prediction of global warming.
We investigated the effects of single and combined administrations of Lactobacillus species (L. plantarum, LP; L. gasseri, LG; L. casei, LC) on blood lipid metabolism and obesity in mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD). The mice were continuously supplemented with LP, LP/LG, or LP/LG/LC, along with HFD, for 12 weeks. The consumption of HFD led to significant increases in body weight, total cholesterol, and triglyceride levels compared to the normal control group. However, administration of LP, LP/LG, or LP/LG/LC to HFD-fed mice reduced body weight gain and showed a tendency to suppress the levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL-cholesterol, while increasing HDL-cholesterol levels. The HFD group exhibited increased abdominal fat weight and larger adipocytes in the epididymal adipose tissue compared to the NC group. However, the administered probiotics led to a significant reduction in adipocyte size with decreasing tendency in abdominal fat weight compared with the HFD group. Additionally, the deposition of giant vesicular fat cells in the liver of the HFD group considerably decreased in the probiotic-administered group. Microbiome analysis revealed an imbalance in intestinal microbes in the HFD group, characterized by lower Bacteroidetes and higher Proteobacteria ratios. However, probiotic administration tended to restore the microbial distribution by controlling the abundance of Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria, resulting in decreased Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria/Bacteroidetes ratios. These results suggest that single and combined administration of LP and other probiotics holds enormous potential in reducing obesity in HFD-fed mice as they regulate lipid metabolism, reduce adipocyte size, and restore the balance of intestinal microbes.
Objectives: This study was performed to examine the clustering of lifestyle risk factors for chronic diseases in urban poor and rural adults. Methods: As a cross-sectional study, a questionnaire survey was conducted in 2003. Data was collected from 468 urban poor adults and 385 rural adults. And 848 persons data was used for final analysis. We surveyed their smoking habit alcohol consumption, exercise habit education and disease histories. Result: In mea about 25% of the urban poor subjects and about 20% of the rural subjects had three lifestyle risk factors(Prevalence ratio was 1.29). And, in women, about 1.5% of the urban poor subjects and about 0.5% of the rural subjects had three lifestyle risk factors(Prevalence ratio was 4.00). Especially in men, clustering of smoking and excessive alcohol consumption was strongest both the urban poor and rural subjects(Observed/Expected ratio(O/E): 1.4 in the urban poor subjects, 1.3 in the rural subjects). Conclusions: These findings show that the lifestyle risk factors cluster among the urban poor and rural adults. And the clustering is stronger in the urban poor adults than the rural adults. This tendency was important for health education and health promotion. We suggest that more intensive health promotion strategies for the urban poor adults are needed.

Recently it has been focused that the automobile engine has developed in a strong upward tendency for the use of the high viscosity and poorer quality fuels in achieving the high performance, fuel economy, and emission reduction. Therefore it is not easy to solve the problems between low specific fuel consumption and exhaust emission control at motor cars. In this study, it is designed and used the engine test bed which is installed with turbocharger and intercooler. In addition to equipped using CRDI by controlling injection timing with mapping modulator, it has been tested and analyzed the engine performance, combustion characteristics, and exhaust emission as operating parameters, and they were engine speeds(rpm), injection timing(bTDC), and engine load(%). From the result of an experimental analysis, peak cylinder pressure and the rate of pressure rise were increased, and the location of it was closer toward top dead center according to the increasing of engine speed and load, and with advancing injection timing. The combustion characteristics are effected by fuel injection timing due to be enhanced the mass burned fraction. Using the engine dynamometer for analyzing the engine performance, the engine torque and power have been enhanced according to advancing the fuel injection timing. In analyzing of exhaust emission, there has been a trade-off between PM and NOx with increasing of engine speed and load, and with advanced injection timing. The experimental data are shown that the formation of NOx has increased and PM, vice versa.
Recently, one-person households have surpassed nuclear families. One-person households are expected to have many problems with health due to an irregular life style and a tendency to be more isolated from society. In addition, we need to divide the generations and survey each generation due to differences in one-person household factors and characteristics as well as the unique physical conditions of each generation. Therefore, based on the sixth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, this survey examined health behavior differences between one-person households and non-one-person households according to generation (respectively) as well as studied how one-person households and health behavior influence subjective health conditions. The major result of this survey is as follows. First, one-person households reveal a higher rate in the negative health behavior than non-one-person households. Second, the physical activity of all households reveals a high rate of non-activity. Third, health scores of one-person households are lower than that of non-one-person households; consequently, the analysis of health scores for one-person households and non-one-person households indicated that the middle age health scores for one-person households have been lowest in generations. Fourth, the factors that influence subjective health conditions indicated that one-person household and health behavior has meaningful influence; in addition, the subjective health condition of one-person households are lower than non-one-person households under controlled health behavior.

Drunk driving defines a driver as unable to drive a vehicle safely due to drinking. To crack down on drunk driving, alcohol concentration evaluates through breathing and crack down on drinking using S-shaped courses. A method for assessing drunk driving without using BAC or BrAC is measurement via biosignal. Depending on the individual specificity of drinking, alcohol evaluation studies through various biosignals need to be conducted. In this study, we measure biosignals that are related to alcohol concentration, predict BrAC through SVM, and verify the effectiveness of the S-shaped course. Participants were 8 men who have a driving license. Subjects conducted a d2 test and a scenario evaluation of driving an S-shaped course when they attained BrAC's certain criteria. We utilized SVR to predict BrAC via biosignals. Statistical analysis used a one-way Anova test. Depending on the amount of drinking, there was a tendency to increase pupil size, HR, normLF, skin conductivity, body temperature, SE, and speed, while normHF tended to decrease. There was no apparent change in the respiratory rate and TN-E. The result of the D2 test tended to increase from 0.03% and decrease from 0.08%. Measured biosignals have enabled BrAC predictions using SVR models to obtain high Figs in primary and secondary cross-validations. In this study, we were able to predict BrAC through changes in biosignals and SVMs depending on alcohol concentration and verified the effectiveness of the S-shaped course drinking control method.
