  • This study identified the appropriateness of acceptance models of smart clothing and differences in the hypothesis of the path to clothing acceptance by classifying consumers depending on the level of technology innovation and fashion innovation through the extended TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) presented by Chae (2009). 815 copies of data were collected from adults over twenty living in major South Korean cities and analyzed them using a SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 5.0 package. Based on the average value of technology innovation and fashion innovation, the respondents were classified into: Group 1 with high technology innovation and fashion innovation, Group 2 with high technology innovation but low fashion innovation, Group 3 with low technology innovation but high fashion innovation, and Group 4 with low technology innovation and fashion innovation. The appropriateness of models for the four classified groups was verified. The analysis proved that an extended TAM for each classified group explains the acceptance process of smart clothing; especially the appropriateness of model of Group 1 and Group 4 was comparatively higher than other groups. Perceived usefulness was revealed as the key variable that affects consumer attitudes to accept smart clothing. Perceived ease of use has indirect positive effects on consumer attitudes passing through perceived usefulness and clothing involvement partly exerted impacts on consumer attitudes and the intention of acceptance. The mediating role of attitudes to explain the intention of the acceptance of smart clothing is high and suggests that it is necessary to take a positive role to help the consumer perceive the functional and useful aspects of the clothing.

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify the concept of consideration set of stores and to contribute to the prediction of consumers' store behavior by finding out which consumer characteristics affect the formation of consideration set of stores. The data were collected from 553 female consumers. Factor analysis, K-cluster analysis, and ANOVA were used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First, the respondents were classified into seven groups based on the number of stores and store types they considered. Second, there were significant differences among groups in consumer characteristics such as knowledge, motivation, and solubility; especially, the differences were related to the number of considering store rather than the types of considering store. In other words, the more involvement in clothing and the more experience and knowledge about apparel purchases a consumer had, the more stores the consumer considered. This study is meaningful in that it provides a systematic organization of the concept of consideration set of stores.

  • This study uses text mining compares and contrasts consumers' social media discourses on dietary related zero-waste movement before and after COVID-19. The results indicate that the amount of buzz on social networks for the zero- waste movement has been increasing after COVID-19. Additionally, the results of frequency analysis and topic modeling revealed that subjects associated with zero-waste movement were more diversified after COVID-19. Although the results of a sentiment analysis and word cloud visualization confirmed that consumers' positive responses toward the zero-waste have been increasing, they also revealed a need to educate and encourage those who are still not aware of the need for zero-waste. Finally, consumers mentioned only a small number of companies participating in zero-waste movement on SNS, indicating that the level of active involvement by such companies is much lower than that of consumers. Theoretical and educational implications as well as those for government policy-making are considered.

Sample subjects used in this study were female college students in Jeollabukdo and Jeollanamdo, Korea and Yunnam, China. Questionnaire data from 780 college students(Korea: 441, China: 339) were analyzed through a reliability analysis, factor analysis, frequence, mean, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows. First, complaint intention of college students was divided into 3 factors, voice, private, and third party. Second, the findings of regression analysis for the total sample showed that the determinants of the factor 'voice' were the country, salespeople, product involvement, complaint cost, psychological tension, and social benefit. • Since most clothing research has still centered around buying behavior, the importance of consumer behavior which exists outside the purchase context has been neglected. This orientation focusing solely on purchase-related processes is deficient as it cannot account for consumer behavior that is recreational or that occurs without a recognized consumption need. In this vein, clothing browsing behavior can be a significant variable that has effects on clothing purchase-related variables. So to speak, browsers do make purchases at times; delayed-action purchases, impulse purchases and browsers may provide other less informed people with product information. In this study, we used definition proposed by Bloch and Richins(1983), which defines non purchase shopping(browsing) as 1,he examination of merchandises of a store for recreational or informational purposes without a current intention to buy. The specific objectives of the study were to identify the dimensions of clothing non -purchase shopping and to determine the causal relationship among clothing involvement, non-purchase shopping, impulse buying, purchase quantity, opinion leadership. The questionnaire method was used and 366 questionnaires were analyzed. Results can be summarized as follows. First, the non-purchase shopping was divided into two dimensions such as recreational non-purchase shopping and informational non-purchase shopping Of the two dimensions, recreational dimension explained the greater part than informational one. Second, it was revealed that clothing involvement was strongly positively related to non-purchase shopping, which influenced considerably on impulse buying, purchase quantity, and opinion leadership. In other words, clothing non-purchase shopping behaivor is very significant concept of clothing product category and has considerable effects on clothing buying though it occurs independently of purchase, so it seems that much more concern will be needed on this concept.

  • Social commerce is not only a new form of shopping malls that did not exist in the past, but also a new form of media as it gets combined with social networking services. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of clothing involvement on the relationship between shopping values, attitudes, and purchase intentions of consumers in the group-buying type of social commerce. A specialized Internet survey company carried out the survey targeting consumers in their 20s and 30s with experience of purchasing fashion products using group-buying type of social commerce. A total of 200 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, and regression analysis were conducted by using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 19.0. The results are as follows. First, diversity/informativeness, impulse/accumulation, price, convenience, reliability, interaction, and adventure were identified as shopping value dimensions. Second, especially in cases of diversity/informativeness, price, and interaction, there were significant differences between the high involvement group and the low involvement group. Third, five of the categories, which were diversity/informativeness, price, convenience, reliability, and interaction, had significant influence on attitude and purchase intention. When the attitude variable was included with shopping value as independent variables in the regression model to predict purchase intention, the attitude variable presented a full mediating effect or a partial mediating effect between shopping value and purchase intention. Also, the relationship among shopping value, attitude, and purchase intention was different to some degree according to the level of consumer clothing involvement.
