제품정보제공수준에 따른 소비자 행동 (Factors Influencing Consumers' Actual Behavior based on Different Degree of Product Information)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 웹페이지에서 제공하는 제품정보수준에 따른 소비자 행동의 차이를 조망하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 우리는 제품정보수준이 다른 2개의 웹페이지를 만들었다. 그 후, 학습효과를 제거하기 위하여 각각의 웹페이지를 다른 사람에게 보여준 후 응답을 받았고, 각 웹페이지당 178개와 162개의 응답을 얻었기 때문에, 개인의 편견이나 오류를 줄였다. 그 후 응답값을 토대로 제품정보수준이 다른 두 개의 웹페이지를 본 응답자들이 느끼는 유용성, 프라이버시, 소비자 태도, 실제행동간에 차이와 두 개의 모형간에 설정된 인과관계의 가중치에 차이가 있는가를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제품정보제공수준이 다른 두 개의 웹페이지에서 느끼는 변수간의 차이를 분석하기 위해 t-test를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 제품정보수준이 다른 두 개의 웹페이지를 본 응답자들이 느끼는 유용성, 프라이버시, 소비자 태도, 실제행동간에는 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 높은 제품정보를 제공하는 웹페이지와 낮은 제품정보를 제공하는 웹페이지 사이에 설정된 인과관계 가중치에는 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 제품정보수준은 유용성 및 프라이버시에, 유용성은 프라이버시, 소비자 태도, 실제행동에, 프라이버시는 소비자 태도와 실제행동에, 소비자 태도는 실제행동에 유의한 영향을 나타내었다.

  • 본 연구는 오랜기간 동안 연구돼 온 현실공간에서의 과시소비행동과 이미지 및 영상 기반의 SNS인 인스타그램에서의 과시소비행동 간에 차이를 비교하여, 변화된 과시소비에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 수행되었다. 인스타그램을 적극적으로 이용하는 만 20세~59세의 218명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여, 기술통계분석, 로지스틱회귀분석, 선형회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 인스타그램에서의 과시소비행동과 현실공간에서의 과시소비행동의 소비품목, 지출액 그리고 행동에 미치는 영향요인에는 일부 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 과시소비행동 이후, 인스타그램에서든 현실공간에서든 소비자들은 긍정적 감정이 소비자행복에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 현실공간에 국한되어 있던 과시소비행동을 인스타그램이라는 새로운 환경적 요소를 반영하여 그 변화를 탐구한 점과 과시소비행동이 소비자 감정 및 행복에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다는 점에서 본 연구는 과시소비행동의 연구범위를 확대했다는 점에 의의가 있다.

The Impact of Reference Groups and Product Familiarity on Indian Consumers' Product Purchases

  • Less than 3% of India's food basket, consists of processed food, therefore processed food can be viewed as an innovation or new product to Indian consumers. This research investigates the effects of product familiarity and reference groups on Indian consumers' attitudes and purchase behavior of new processed food products. For the study, the model is developed by modifying Cambel and Goodstein's (2001) "Moderate Incongruity Effect" to include important cross-cultural influences on attitudes and purchase decisions among Indian consumers. Empirical analysis was conducted through structural equation modeling (SEM). SEM results indicated that reference group influence has a stronger positive effect on consumers' attitudes and actual purchase behavior of more familiar processed foods than of less familiar processed food. In addition, attitudes have a stronger positive effect on consumers' actual purchase of more familiar than of less familiar processed foods.

1930-1940년대 출산풍속에 대한 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Korean birth customs during 1930s-40s)

  • This essay has attempted to document the actual behavior patterns and the social networks related to the child delivery in the pre-industrial Korean society. We interviewed 30 women who had given birth to their first child during the 1930s and the 1940s in order to accumulate data related to son-prayer rites, prenatal care and food avoidance, sacred-string culture, and other incantation rituals. The characteristics of the social relationships with the person who had assisted the delivery and the recovery were also analyzed in terms of kinship networks. The results are as follows. First, there was a big gap between knowledge and the actual practices in birth rituals and customs. We assume that this is due to the adverse social-economic conditions at that time which may have restricted the actual performances of these customs. Second, there were almost no differences of the performance of these' birth customs between the urban areas and the rural areas. Third, the people who assisted the delivery were women who were mostly from the husband's family. Help from the wife's family were quite exceptional. Finally, it has been found out that only about half of the women who were interviewed performed the well-known custom of three-week after-birth confinement.

Unveiling the Effect of TechTubers' Unboxing Videos on Consumer Buying Behavior

  • Purpose: The study examines the effect of TechTubers' unboxing videos on consumer buying behavior by highlighting the role of product touch, visual and verbal sensory cues. The study integrates the vicarious touch and the dual coding theory to analyze the Smartphone purchase behavior of Generation Z. Research design, data and methodology: The study collected data from 349 respondents who were viewers of YouTube unboxing videos. A structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale was employed as a survey instrument. Convenience sampling technique was utilized to select the samples. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). Results: Results reveal that vicarious touch and verbal description have a statistically significant positive effect on Generation Z's purchase intention of Smartphone. Moreover, purchase intention positively affects Generation Z's actual purchase behavior of Smartphone. However, the visual images did not significantly affect purchase intention. Conclusions: The study offers significant theoretical and practical implications. The study adds new knowledge to the extant literary field by highlighting the impact of digital product presentation in the form of Unboxing videos on purchase intention for technology products. Moreover, the study suggests content sponsorship and advertising opportunities for marketers in collaboration with the TechTubers on YouTube unboxing video platform.

확장된 통합기술수용이론을 활용한 중국 온라인 패션 플랫폼 소비자의 사용의도가 사용행동에 미치는 영향 - MZ세대를 중심으로 - (The Influence of Behavioral Intention on Usage Behavior of Chinese Online Fashion Platform Consumers Using the Expanded Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology - Focusing on Generation MZ -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of technical acceptance factors of Chinese MZ generation consumers' use of online fashion platforms on behavioral intentions and usage behavior, and to determine whether satisfaction plays an additional role in the relationship between behavioral intentions and usage behavior. The research results can be summarized as follows. First, among the technology acceptance factors that influence Generation MZ consumers when they use online fashion platforms, it was found that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, habit, and content quality significantly influence the behavioral intention to use online fashion platforms. Second, the facilitating conditions and the platform usage intention of Chinese Generation MZ consumers directly and significantly influence the usage behavior on online fashion platforms. In contrast, it was confirmed that habit does not significantly influence actual usage behavior. Third, this study confirmed the moderating effect of satisfaction on the relationship between behavioral intention and usage behavior on online fashion platforms. This research, which proposes a research model explaining the usage intention and behavior of online fashion platforms based on UTAUT2, integrating not only the organizational aspect but also the consumer aspect to empirically verify the usage intention and the final usage behavior from the general consumer's perspective, has academic significance.

Analysis of Consumer Preferences for Cosmetic Essence-for-Men via Choice-Based Conjoint with New Design of Choice Sets

  • The sales volume of men's cosmetics has drastically increased in Korea. In recent years, men's needs for cosmetics have been diversified and the consumer demand for functional cosmetics has greatly risen. In particular, male consumers have become more interested in essence product that is a light and concentrated treatment to correct skin problems. This research analyzes consumer preferences for essence-for-men through the use of choice-based conjoint analysis. This approach is adopted since the task of respondents to choose the most preferred option from several alternatives closely mimics actual marketplace purchasing behavior by consumers. New technique for the construction of choice sets is suggested based on the balanced incomplete block design, to accommodate a larger number of product profiles. The proposed design for choice sets is balanced and provides a tool to filter the contradictory choices. Conjoint analyses are performed to assess the relative importance of attributes and identify the most preferred profile of essence-for-men with respect to attributes such as emphasized function, price, type of content, and design of container. Some differences are indicated in the analysis results between age brackets as well as between groups classified by the amount of fashion item expenditures.

국가이미지: 한·미 소비자들에게 과연 그렇게 중요한가? (Country Image: Does It Really Matter to Consumers between Korea and the U.S.?)

  • 대체로 소비자들은 어느 국가에서 제조된 제품인가에 관련하여 제각기 다른 국가이미지와 소비형태를 보인다. 소비자 행동의 본질은 제품의 특징에서 나오는 진실보다는 오히려 소비자 마음속에 있는 정신적 이미지인 것이다. 본 연구는 이러한 국가이미지가 실제 소비자들에게 제품을 선택할 때 얼마나 중요한 영향을 끼치는 가를 한국과 미국의 소비자를 대상으로 북미자유협정 체결 후 멕시코제품을 통하여 조사하였다. 연구의 결과는 멕시코산 제품 구입에 대한 한미 소비자들의 태도가 구조방정식 모형 테스트 결과 차이가 있음을 보여준다.

국내 및 수입 유명 의류에 대한 소비자 선호요인 비교연구 - 여성복을 중심으로 - (A Study on Consumer Preference Factors to Domestic Versus Imported Apparel)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual state of introduction and distribution of import apparel and to identify which characteristics of import apparels were different from domestic apparels by analysing consumer's evaluation attitudeto import apparels comparatively. Inaddition, by forming consumer groups who prefered import apparels and who prefered domestic apparels consumer characteristics and factors of each group were investigated. Results of this study are summarized as follows; 1. The degree of recognition of domestic or import well-known apparel brands were both high as 79.1% was to national brandcomparing with 77.0% of import brands. Average holding articles of import apparels were increasing up to 2.08 per person. 2. Consumers gave better evaluation to import apparel in all its aspects. With respects of the economic value and thepractical value, domestic apparel brands were evaluated better than import apparel brands while import apparel brands were evaluated better than domestic apparel brands with respects of design, brand image, and quality value. 3. Consumer group who has preference to import apparel has the tendency of high degree of clothing expenditure and low degree of economical behavior in clothing life st)4e and high degree of brand preferency. Futhermore, such group was not affirmative to negative effect of purchasing import goodsand open-trade policy. 4. Core factors affecting the preference to import apparel were design evaluation attitude, general reluctancy to buying imports, brand-oriented clouting life style, and degree of prossession of import apparel, as enumerated in the order of importance.

  • This study used the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT) model to find factors that influence consumer acceptance intention toward Vertiport, a physical ground support technology required to implement AAM services. The analysis showed that among the four independent variables, Vertiport's social influence and facilitating conditions have a significant impact on future Vertiport usage behavior. At this point, the public has not yet had actual experience with Vertiport, so there is a limitation of considering it as a future concept based on speculation and measuring acceptance by actual behaviors related to its use (inquiries, information gathering, interest, etc.). Research on acceptance and attitudes toward new transportation methods should be further activated and developed along with future service development. Through the results of this study, we aim to understand the initial public acceptance of Vertiport as a ground-based infrastructure in the AAM field (or UAM) and propose strategic implications for the direction of service development.
