  • Construction companies are now trying a variety of cost-cutting strategies in the midst of recent slump of construction market. Notably, contract workers and local hires are accounting for increasing portion of management manpower as a part of their cost-reduction drive. However, construction site manpower researches to date have focused primarily on productivity analysis of site laborers, with little attention to the productivity of site management resources. This study aims to analyze the staffing status of office building construction site management manpower in reference to project size. Conclusions herein will provide basic inputs for subsequent attempts to build a model to enable efficient staffing of construction site management manpower.

  • 건설공사가 대형화, 복잡화 그리고 전문화 되어감에 따라 공사의 정보도 양적으로 팽창하고, 질적으로도 고도 전문화되어 가고 있으므로, 공정관리를 보다 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 전산시스템의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 현재는 현장사무소에만 전산시스템을 도입하여 공정관리를 수행하고 있으며, 공정관리를 위한 데이터를 입력하고 확인하는 작업은 건설현장에서 현장사무소까지 직접 도보로 이동하여 처리하고 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 건설현장과 현장사무소를 이어주는 무선통신시스템을 구축하고, 건설현장에서 PDA를 이용하여 즉각적으로 본사의 데이터베이스에 공정데이터를 입력하고 확인할 수 있는 응용프로그램을 개발하였다. 이를 통해 기존의 건설현장에서 이루어지던 공정관리를 개선하여 인력, 장비, 시간, 비용 등을 절감할 수 있는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

AHP기법을 활용한 공공청사 신축 부지의 합리적인 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reasonable Selection of New Ward Office Building Site Using Analytic Hierarchy Process)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the rational decision process for new ward office building site. AHP Technique used in this study considers both quantitative and qualitative factors on the basis of decision maker's intuitive, reasonable or unreasonable judgement by giving weight through mutual comparision of publicity factors. The evaluaion factors were refer to another five ward office there were executed these kinds of new site selection before. These standards are composed of 6 middle groups and classified into 9 detailed standards. Alternative building sites are five places in this district. The final evauation standards are Accessibility, Urban Expansion Possibility. Distrct balance, Environment, Financing. Development easiness. And It became clear that the priority of evaluation is Financing > Urban expansion > Accessibility > Development easiness > District balance > Environment. In conclusion, it was determined that alternative " E " is the most adequate place for new ward office building.

UAV를 활용한 토목공사 현장 모니터링 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Construction Site Monitoring System Using UAV Data for Civil Engineering Project)

  • 토목공사 발주기관은 공사현장이 대부분 원거리에 위치하고 담당공무원도 다수의 현장을 관리하게 되므로 간접적 방식으로 현장을 관리하고 있다. 토목공사 현장은 광범위한 작업구역을 가지므로 현장 실무자의 보고에 의한 간접적 관리방식으로는 사업전체의 현황을 신속하게 파악하기가 쉽지 않다. 이러한 문제점을 해소하기 위해 발주기관과 현장간의 현장관리시스템은 오프라인에서 온라인방식으로 변화되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 UAV에서 취득한 현장의 3차원정보를 활용하여 원거리에 위치한 현장과 감독기관간에 관련 정보를 온라인으로 공유할 수 있는 개선된 현장관리시스템을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 연구에서는 다수의 실제 현장의 현장관리 운영체계의 문제점을 분석하여 UAV활용 현장관리시스템에 필요로 하는 공사현황보고 및 온라인 정보관리 등의 주요기능을 도출하였다. 연구에서 개발된 시스템은 실제 공사 중인 현장에 적용하여 활용성을 검증하였으며, 다수의 현장 조사를 통하여 기존의 간접적 현장관리 방식과의 효율성 개선사항을 분석하였다.

Configuration and Construction for the KASS KRS Site Infrastructure

  • In this paper, we described configuration and construction of infrastructure for the KASS Reference Station (KRS), subsystem of Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS). KASS system consists of three subsystems(KRS, Mission Control Center (MCC), KASS Uplink Station (KUS)). One of these subsystems, KRS receives GNSS data for generating range error and integrity verification and sends to MCC. It is needed to antenna facilities for mounting GNSS antenna and shelter for operating KRS and infra equipment(power and network system, lightning and grounding system, fire extinguish) for operating KRS. For this reason, we have established the requirements for KRS infrastructure and constructed infrastructure for KRS to meet the requirements of KRS infrastructure.

건설안전을 위한 P.S.M. 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the P.S.M. system for the Construction Safety)

  • In order to introduce P.S.M. system adequate to domestic construction first, many cases similar to advanced foreign P.S.M. system have been collected and compared to the domestic situation. Then, the current safety management status of bridges, subways, apartment and office building construction are investigated while visiting interview, using questionnaire at site have being done. The potential hazard and measurement have been investigated for each kind of works, and the domestic introducing method of P.S.M. system is analyzed with expert discussion. In order to represent how to make out P.S.M. plan, the questionnaire is made out using each five place for bridge, subways, apartment and office building. As the weight factor for potential hazard of each work obtained from more than forty site places, is produced and shown. Also, a direction the recommendation is suggested to improve tool in each construction site with work schedule. It is thought that proposed schedule contributed to keeping in safe business administration of each company in decreasing many effort at the construction site.

  • Office workers at the architectural design office are under job stress for various reasons such as excessive working hours, friction with the site, and unpredictability of work. This can increase not only the negative image of office workers in the construction industry, but also the avoidance of young manpower in the future. This study investigated the specific purpose of each activity as a problem of job stress relief activities in the architectural design office, and the specific purpose and goal setting of each activity as a way to improve job stress relief activities.

  • Offshore geotechnical site investigation of the seabed ground has been a key factor of the successful construction of various types of offshore structures like as sea-crossing bridges, submerged tunnels, and other marine facilities. Offshore investigations are not easy tasks because of the wave, wind, tidal ebb and flows, and others. Recent developments of offshore equipment including platforms and testing devices like as maine cone penetrator have inspired us to get more reliable characteristics of the seafloor. General information on the offshore site investigations and technical trends concerned are introduced.

  • The construction site for $\bigcirc\bigcirc$ transformer substation was located at a mountain valley. In order to prepare the site, the valley was first filled with crushed rock debris up to 63m. Since the main concern of this project is to minimize differential settlement of the foundation of transformer facilities, dynamic compaction was performed every 7m followed by reinforcement with EMP(Ez-Mud Piling). The EMP is one of bored piling methods, in which a hole is bored by means of air percussion and maintain by injecting Ez-Mud. Then a PHC pile (Pretensioned spun High strength Concrete pile) is embedded and finalized with a hammer. In this study, bearing capacities and long term behavior of a pile installed by EMP were investigated. To achieve these objectives, a series of tests such as static and dynamic load tests were conducted. In addition, a construction quality control standard was proposed based on the test results.

  • This study deals with problems of technical assistance through accidents analysis and questionnaires on small-sized construction sites which are difficult to understand real condition and administrate legally and indicated following efficient methods of technical assistance. (1) Ensuring access to the small-sized construction sites. (2) Delegation technical assistance service to civilian and supporting selected. (3) Raising of the person's safe consciousness concerned with the small-sized construction sites. (4) Safety consulting for the head office of small-sized construction sites.
