가시설 공사 설계VE 대안검토시 모순충돌 해결을 통한 아이디어 창출 (Value Engineering Idea Generation for Temporary Construction Designs through Conflict Resolution)

  • 설계VE 과정에서 아이디어 창출은 가장 중요한 부분이다. 그러나 아이디어 창출은 일반적으로 설계VE 팀원의 지식이나 경험을 통하여 진행되게 된다. 설계VE 워크샵에서 좋은 성과를 내기 위해서는 단순하게 설계VE 팀원의 지식이나 경험에 의존하는 것이 아니라 보다 체계적인 접근방법이 필요하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 설계VE 워크샵에서 사용할 수 있도록 TRIZ의 모순충돌 개념을 활용한 체계적인 아이디어 창출방법을 제시한다. 연구과정에서는 TRIZ의 모순충돌 개념을 바탕으로 설계가 가지는 문제영역을 정의하고, 기술적 요인을 활용하여 모순충돌을 나타냈다. 아이디어 창출과정에서 기술적 요인은 설계기능을 향상시키기 위한 체계적 방법론으로 활용됐다. 가시설 공사에 대한 시범사례에서는 본 연구에서 제시한 아이디어 창출절차를 적용할 경우 설계가치를 향상시킬 수 있다는 것을 시범적으로 제시했다.

  • 현재 국내 건설산업에서의 공정계획은 합리적인 사전계획 없이 현장기술자의 경험과 능력에 따라 계약공기에 맞추는 방식으로 추진되고 있다. 또한 공정계획의 핵심인 광기산정은 업체마다 서로 차이를 보이고 있어 객관적인 공기산정이라고 할 수 없는 실정이다. 이러한 공정계획의 부실은 공정계획 현장 적응 시 공기 및 작업순서의 차이를 발생시켜 효과적인 공정관리가 이루어지지 못하는 원인이 되고 있으며, 다양한 공기지연 사유가 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 제조업에서 적용중인 제약이론 기반의 CCPM(Critical Chain Project Management)의 확률적 공기산정과 공정버퍼의 개념을 건설 프로젝트에 적용하여 합리적인 공정계획 수립 방안을 제시하였다.

  • Recently, global warming problem is a major issue in international community. The carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) emissions in the construction industry is one of the main factors causing a global warming problem. Accordingly, various researches on $CO_2$ emissions caused by the construction industry is needed and construction methods which is low $CO_2$ emissions should be developed. In this study, $CO_2$emission cost is compared with roof waterproofing types in construction phase. As a result, the $CO_2$ emission costs of asphalt waterproofing is the highest. This research is to provide basic information for selecting appropriate construction methods in aspect of low $CO_2$ emission cost.

  • 최근 건설 계획이 증가함에 따라 건물 신축과 건물 폐기에 의한 건설 폐기물이 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 이로 인한 문제점으로 신축에 의해 발생되는 건설 폐기물의 처리를 매립에 대부분 의존하고 있기 때문에 환경오염 문제가 발생과 환경 단체의 반대에 천연골재 채취를 제한하고 있어서 건설업계에서 골재 부족문제가 대두되었다. 따라서 연구 단체에서는 이 두 가지 문제에 대한 해결방안으로 순환골재가 제시되고 있다 하지만 건설 현장에서는 거의 사용되지 않고 있다 이에 본 연구에서는 순환골재가 사용되지 않는 이유를 경제적인 면, 제도적인 면, 기술적인 면으로 분석하고 각 측면에서 순환골재의 활용화 방안에 대해 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 골재부족 문제해결과 폐기물의 매립에 의한 환경오염의 경감을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

  • There are researches are in progress on ensuring the safety of the high impact concrete in cases of fire which is a current rising social problem and this research institute also developed PFB technology, the explosion preventing technology. PFB technology is to apply POSCO E&C Fire Board, a fireproof board, with an adhesive agent on the construction site, and this technology passed 3-hour fireproof test and this technology was proven from a previous research that the temperature of main root is maintained under 200 ℃. Therefore, tests on basic contents to be examined before the actual construction in this research by with a wooden prototype of a full scale to apply PFB technology to actual construction sites and tests are being done on the workability of fireproof board, the adhesive power, the resistance against imprint of wooden nail, the heat conductivity and etc. As the results of those tests, PFB technology was proven to have an excellent workability at a construction site and to be easy for processing and also this technology was proven to have a great the resisting power against imprint of wooden nail, so this research has confirmed that PFB technology has no problem to be applied on a construction site.

CRITICAL DRIVING FORCE FOR CONTRACTOR'S OPPORTUNISTIC BIDDING BEHAVIOR IN PUBLIC WORKS

  • Contractor's opportunistic bidding behavior refers to contractor's deliberate low-bid, which cannot accord with the cost, and expectation for beyond-contractual reward (BCR), the compensation earned through cutting corners or claims after undertaking the construction project. This research applies System Dynamics to develop a model of contractor's pricing with consideration for dimensions of "cost", "market competition", and "BCR". Iterative computer simulations were performed to analyze the effects of contractor's pricing on the market price. The results were then examined by statistical analysis on data collected from 44 highway projects in Taiwan. It is found that the critical force driving the contractors to bid opportunistically is their excessive expectations in BCR under the current environment. Within the price competition mechanism, if the problem of BCR exists, even if the bidding system is further improved, contractors would still prefer opportunistic bidding behavior, and eventually make the whole construction industry operate ineffectively. Therefore, it is crucial to remedy the aforementioned BCR problem by more effective management policy.

Effect of Inadequate Design on Cost and Time Overrun of Road Construction Projects in Tanzania

  • Completing road construction projects within the budget and time has been a problem for the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS); and the major problem highlighted in almost all projects being inadequate design. However, the extent to which inadequate design contributes to both time and cost overruns and its causes remained under-studied. The objective of this study is therefore to determine the extent of the effect of inadequate design, its causes and remedial measures. The methodology used in this study includes reviewing recent projects completion reports, holding roundtable discussions with consultants and TANROADS officials and analyzing the information. Cost and time overruns for the reviewed projects averaged 44% and 26% respectively. Similarly, the extents to which inadequate design contributes to cost and time overruns were on average found to be 61% and 85% respectively. The overruns are predominantly related to problems that occurred during the design process. To alleviate the problem, TANROADS is advised to improve the management of design projects, enhance the process of reviewing design reports, improve the design process including introducing Road Safety Audit and geometric design manuals, and increase staff to match the work-load.

Intelligent Route Construction Algorithm for Solving Traveling Salesman Problem

  • The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is one of the well-known and extensively studied NPC problems in combinatorial optimization. To solve it effectively and efficiently, various optimization algorithms have been developed by scientists and researchers. However, most optimization algorithms are designed based on the concept of improving route in the iterative improvement process so that the optimal solution can be finally found. In contrast, there have been relatively few algorithms to find the optimal solution using route construction mechanism. In this paper, we propose a route construction optimization algorithm to solve the symmetric TSP with the help of ratio value. The proposed algorithm starts with a set of sub-routes consisting of three cities, and then each good sub-route is enhanced step by step on both ends until feasible routes are formed. Before each subsequent expansion, a ratio value is adopted such that the good routes are retained. The experiments are conducted on a collection of benchmark symmetric TSP datasets to evaluate the algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm produces the best-known optimal results in some cases, and performs better than some other route construction optimization algorithms in many symmetric TSP datasets.

  • The construction noise and vibration is a serious social problem in the downtown. This results in many expenses and delays of construction process because of the satisfactory settlement of popular complaints. In this study, we analyze the dispute mediation cases on the damages of construction noise and vibration and the noise and vibration condition in construction sites by using questionnaire surveys.

대학생의 운동학 그래프 작성에 대한 역학 개념의 효과 (The Effect of Force and Motion Conceptions into the Kinematics Graph Construction)

  • In order to study the effect of student's conceptions about force and motion into the graph construction in kinematics in college physics course, the tasks of constructing the qualitative graph in the similar problem context used in force conception was asked to the first 74 and third 97 student teacher in teachers' university. The frequencies analysis showed that student teachers had the naive conceptions that the throwing force was still acted to a upwarding ball. They also had the popular Aristotelian views about motion. These naive conceptions coexisted with the scientific conception about gravitational force. In a simple pendulum problem no one had the correct acceleration concepts which varies the direction in swing. This result suggest that student teacher had more difficulties in a acceleration problem than in a velocity problem In v-t and a-t graph construction tasks, the number of categories of a-t graphs were more than that of v-t graphs. There were many graph errors in a sign of velocity and acceleration. The acceleration conceptions without the relations of changes in velocity made the kinematics graphs more various shapes. The force and motion conceptions influenced the ability to construct the kinematics graphs.
