The Taiwan government agencies have been promoting e-commerce for the construction industry with several initiatives since 2000. The development of standards for the procurement information exchange among government agencies, construction firms, and suppliers for the construction industry is one of the major initiatives and begins to produce tangible results. This paper reviews the effort for developing the information exchange standards and compares the development strategies used in different segments in the supply chain. Lessons learned during the development course are also discussed.

지속적으로 성장하고 있는 CM시장에서 CM기업이 생존 발전하기 위하여 CM고객(발주자)의 수요에 대한 이해는 필수적인 과제이다. CM수요에 대한 이해는 CM서비스 마케팅의 필수 요건이자 CM기업 경쟁력 향상의 출발점이기 때문이다. 본 연구의 주제는"CM고객은 시공이전단계에서 CM기업에게 어떠한 CM서비스를 주로 요구하고 있는가?"라는 질문을 모티브로 설정되었으며 연구의 목적은 시공이전단계 CM서비스 활용수준을 공공 및 민간 건축CM사업을 중심으로 비교 분석하고 주요 특징 및 시사점을 발굴하는데 있다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 주요 결과는 공공 및 민간 건축CM사업에서 발주자가 요구하는 CM서비스에는 다소 차이가 있지만 공정관리 및 사업비관리에 대한 활용 수준이 공통적으로 높은 것으로 나타나고 있다. 발주자가 CM기업으로부터 어떠한 CM서비스를 제공받기를 원하는지에 대한 이해는 CM기업 입장에서는 어떠한 CM서비스 역량을 우선적으로 강화해야하는지를 이해하고 대응 전략을 수립하는데 있어서 매우 중요한 과제이다.

선진국 건설업체에 대한 경쟁우위 확보와 건설수요의 대형화 및 복합공종의 고도기술 요구에 따라, 국내건설업 기술력 제고의 필요성이 더욱 높아지고 있다. 기술경쟁력 제고를 위해서는 기술의 연구 및 개발이 이루어져야 하며, 개발된 기술을 적극적으로 활용하여 기술축적에 의한 내실을 기해야만 기술경쟁력 확보가 가능하다. 건설업의 경우, 광범위한 기술개발 대상과 기술개발에 소요되는 대규모의 투자와 장기성 때문에, 각 기업의 주어진 여건에 맞는 기술경쟁력 제고 방향의 설정은 기업의 성장을 좌우할 수 있는 중요한 열쇠가 될 것이다. 따라서 기술개발추진 방향은 각 기업의 장기경영 전략에 맞추어서 설정되어야 한다. 본 연구는 건설업계 측면에서 효율적으로 기술개발을 추진할 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 제시한다. 기술경쟁력확보를 위해서는 기본적으로 단계적 건설경영 확대, 특화사업분야 핵심기술 보유, 기술개발체계 확립, 탄력적 조직 운영 등의 체계가 구축되어야 한다.

This paper presents an approach to quantifying the costs and benefits of integrating ERP systems with project management systems, including potential time and cost savings. To properly identify the costs and the benefits, the paper shows the relevant construction information flows and the desired milestones in the integration process. The proposed benefit analysis model should allow construction firms considering the integration of their ERP systems with legacy systems or commercial project management software make informed decisions in regard to the existing alternatives in the early stages of decision making.

This study was tried for the improvement of software process ability of the software firms, and analyzed empirically the impact that a software process infrastructure level influences on the software process level and process performance. The questionnaire were developed and data were collected from the process improvement correspondences or project quality managers of the 78 software firms. The result was shown that management-organization infrastructure was composed of software process improvement organization's role and activity, process standard and education, management system and supporting, management guides and procedures. And organization's standard development procedure or criteria, process asset, process support tools were included in technical infrastructure. This study provides that some components of software process infrastructure had an significant influence on the process level, process infrastructure management level, and software process performance.

본 연구는 분양가 자율화가 건설회사의 주가에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실증적인 분석방법으로, 본 연구는 전통적인 사건 연구방법을 이용하여 분양가 자율화가 미치는 영향을 분석하였고 회귀분석방법을 이용하여 어떤 변수와 관계가 있는지 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같이 요약하였다. 첫째로, 정부가 분양가 자율화 발표시 주식의 누적추과수익률은 양의 값을 갖는다. 발표전 -10일과 발표후 +10일간의 거래기간인 21일 동안의 누적초과수익률은 25.51%이며 1%수준에서 유의하였다. 본 결과는 분양가 자율화가 긍정적인 정보를 증권시장에 전달하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째로, 회귀분석결과 본 연구는 누적초과수익률이 매출액총이익률과 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This paper introduces the public-oriented e-Hub construction for strategic alliances in the community. 국내 CM 시장이 2000년대에 들어서 지속적으로 커지고 있지만, CM 시장의 활성화 저해 요인들이 증가하고 있다. 발주자들의 CM 서비스 사용에 대한 인식과 동기부여가 부족한 것은 심각한 문제라고 할 수 있다. 이 시점에서 CM 업체들에게는 마케팅 활동을 활성화 해야 하는 것이 주요 과제이다. 본 논문의 목적은 CM 업체의 CM 서비스 상품의 관리 전략과 방법의 주요 특징을 분석 하고자 한다.

A shortage of construction field workers has been a serious problem, both in the developed and in the developing countries. As a solution for conquering this problem, these countries import foreign laborers from nearby less-developed countries. While this contributes to lessening the labor deficiency, foreign workers are relatively inefficient in productivity and are often exposed to the cross-cultural risks due to cultural differences, communication difficulties, different work ethics and customs, etc. Despite these facts, construction firms do not well address these issues and are lagged in establishing an appropriate management strategy against it. This paper presents a practical management plan for foreign construction workers through Focus Group Interviews (FGI) and survey investigation. On this basis, this study examines the level of awareness and important managerial aspects of the issue of foreign laborers. Finally, it suggests a cross-cultural and ready-to-use practical human resource management plan for facilitating the foreign worker's productivity.

As international construction market increases, the importance of risk management in international construction project is emphasized. Unfortunately, current risk management practice does not sufficiently deal with project risks. Although a lot of risk analysis techniques have been introduced, most of them focus on project's external unexpected risks such as country conditions and owner's financial standing. However, because those external risks are difficult to manage and take preemptive action, we need to concentrate on project inherent risks. Based on this premise, this paper proposes a project-oriented risk mining approach which could detect and extract project risk factors automatically before they are materialized. This study presents a methodology regarding how to extract potential risks which exist in owner's project requirements and project tender documents using state of the art data analysis method such as text mining. The project-oriented risk mining approach is expected to effectively reflect project characteristics to the project risk management and could provide construction firms with valuable business intelligence.
