Systematic studies on the dispatch scheduling algorithm and related constraints can enhance the effectiveness of electricity market operation. When System Operator (SO) establishes a dispatch schedule, the bid information should be preserved in the schedule as much as possible. In this paper, we introduce a new type of sensitivity factor called Line Outage Impact Factor (LOIF) to screen a transmission line causing the most severe outage when scheduling the dispatch. This screening can assure the stable system operation and make an efficient feedback between the SO and market participants. We propose a transmission line contingency constrained Pre-dispatch algorithm using sensitivity indices in a suitable Pre-dispatch scheduling. The proposed algorithm has been tested on sample system and the results show more secure operation against critical contingencies.

TCP is considered a major candidate transport protocol even for constrained IoT networks due to its ability to integrate into the existing network infrastructures. Since TCP implementations such as uIP TCP often allow only a single TCP segment per connection to be unacknowledged at any given time due to resource constraints, the congestion control relies only on RTO management. In our previous work, to address the problem that uIP TCP performs poorly particularly when a radio duty cycling mechanism is enabled and the hidden terminal problem is severe, we proposed a RTO scheme for uIP TCP and validated the performance through Cooja simulation. In this study, we investigate the effect of other factors that were not considered in our previous work. More specifically, the effect of traffic intensity, the degree of the hidden terminal problem, and RDC is investigated by varying the offered load and the transmission range, and the RDC channel check rate. Simulation results imply that we need to further investigate how to improve TCP performance when the radio duty cycling mechanism is used.

This paper proposes an efficient and low complexity power-loading algorithm for MIMO-OFDM downlink based cognitive radio system that maximizes the sum rate of single secondary user (SU) under constraints on the tolerable interference thresholds between secondary user and primary user's frequency bands and the total transmission power. Our suboptimal algorithm is based on the $2^{nd}$ order interference tracking and nulling mechanism to allocate transmission power of the subcarriers among SU's scheme. The performance of our proposed suboptimal scheme is compared with the performance of the classical power loading algorithms, e.g., water filling, $1^{st}$ order interference tracking, nulling, and other suboptimal schemes. Numerical results show that our algorithm has low complexity but obtains a higher channel capacity than that of some previous suboptimal algorithms in some scenarios. We dedicate also that for a given interference threshold, the $2^{nd}$ order interference tracking mechanism has dynamic number of nulling position instead fixed number of nulling position.

Nowadays, control systems consist of smart sensors, smart actuators, and controllers connected via fieldbus. Some devices such as motors in plant environments generate high degrees of EMI or noise. This noise may cause communication errors and make the successful transmission of data longer. Therefore, the noise condition has to be considered at the design of a reliable control system based on a network. This paper presents a scheduling method of task and message to guarantee the given end-to-end constraints under noise environments. A noise model with multi-sources of noise is used, and the analysis method of message's response time is presented when the noise model is applied to CAN (Controller Area Network). Two kinds of noise models are applied to an example system, and the effect to each control loop s end-to-end response time is analyzed. We believe that the proposed method help system designers design the control system guaranteeing its requirements under noise environment.
This paper examines the problems of database partitioning and file allocation in a fixed topology distributed computer network. The design objective is to make files as collections of attributes and to allocate these files to network nodes so that a minimum total transmission cost is achieved subject to storage capacity constraints. A mathematical model for solving the problem is formulated and, the resulting optimization problem is shown to fall in a class of NP-complete problems. A new heuristic algorithm is developed which uses the idea of allocating attributes according to the transaction requirements at each computer node and then making files using the allocated attributes. Numerical results indicate that the heuristic algorithm yields practicable low cost solutions in comparison with the existing methods which deal with the file allocation problems and database partitioning problems independently.

The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is considered as a novel modulation and multiple access technique for 4th generation wireless systems. In this paper, we formulate a base station's power allocation algorithm for each user to maximize the user's sum rate, subject to constraints on total power, bit error rate, and rate proportionality among the users for a better proportional rate adaptive (RA) resource allocation method for OFDMA based system. We propose a novel power allocation method based on the proportion of subcarrier allocation and the user's normalized proportionality constant. We adapt a greedy algorithm and waterfilling technique for allocating the subcarriers among the users. In an end-to-end simulation, we validate that the proposed technique has higher system capacity and lower CPU execution times, while maintaining the acceptable rate proportionality among users.

Switching of the transmission lines(T/L) is one of the ways for suppressing the short circuit capacity. This paper presents the extended optimal power flow(OPF) to the problem of selecting the T/Ls to be open. The constraints of the short circuit currents within limits are added to the inequalities of OPF. Also, the overload on the other lines due to switching of T/Ls is avoided by the linearized inequalities. The number of the open lines can be minimized by incorporating into the objective function of OPF in order to maintain reliability. The method of an effective calculation of the extended OPF is also proposed in this paper, which makes the two parts decoupled. The one concerning the generation dispatch is solved in the first place by the conventional method. Secondly, the other concerning the line-switching is optimized by the proposed formulation.

The Web is a way to share documents and communicate. However, voice and video data can be transmission in real time and currently being developed by the objects and the objects that interact to further develop the Internet. Existing video and audio programs to transmission data to the interface of different types of systems a lot of constraint condition on the cost of the interface, extensibility. In this paper, voice and audio transmission system a different operating system, improve the constraints of the ERP system compatibility and extensibility is a open source based system developed by the research. The program is different types of systems and interface, extensibility with program design and development methodologies, and open source-based system composed This system is good for cost saving and extensibility. Therefore, systems research and development, Extensibility and excellent on the interface, system design and development methodologies, such as real-time video conferencing, HMI, and take advantage of your video available from SNS.
In this paper, we present a joint quality control system to be able to accurately control the relative picture quality among the video programs in terms of PSNR. The joint quality control system allows variable bit rate (VBR) for each video program to maintain the pre-determined relative picture quality among the aggregated video programs while keeping a constant sum of the bit rates for all programs to be transmitted over a single constant bit rate (CBR) channel. This is achieved by simultaneous controlling the video encoders to generate VBR video streams at the central controller. Furthermore we also suggest buffer regulation method based on the analysis of the constraints imposed by sender/receiver buffer sizes and total transmission rate. Through various simulation results, it is found that our quality control systems guarantee that the video buffers do not overflow and underflow and the quality control errors do not exceed 0.1 ㏈.

In recent years, equipment and network standards have been increasing in both number and complexity. Two standards that will soon be introduced to KOREA are the HV standards for assessing distorting and fluctuating loads, IEC 61000-3-6. Utility engineers, being under increasing time constraints, are turning more and more to software to quickly solve problems. This paper describes the methodology used to implement the above standards in Microsoft Excel in order to assist utility engineers to readily apply these standards in practical situations.
