  • This study was conducted among 831 industrial workers in Gumi City in Gyung-Sang-Buk Do for the purpose of acquiring knowledge to improve quality of life though industrial workers' oral health promotion. Oral examination and questionnaire surveying were used to evaluate workers' oral health state and subjective health state and analyze their effect on quality of life. At the same time, the scales used in measuring the subjects' health state and quality of life-OHIP and WHOQOL-BREF-were validated for their constituent concepts and their relations were analyzed through structural modeling. The analysis results can be summarized as follows; The constituent concepts of OHIP and QOL factor structural models were validated since they were all in the range of appropriateness, as shown in the result of analysis using Indices of Fit-GFI, CFL, TLI and RMSEA. The result of analysis of constituent concepts to identitify the relations between OHIP and QOL confirmed that OHIP influences QOL.

  • Conjoint analysis estimates how much each of the attributes is valued on the basis of the choices consumers make among product concepts that are varied in systematic ways. The purposes of this research were to evaluate the relative importance of each fabric constituent characteristic for the consumer's utility or preference, to compare with the relative importance between the trained and the untrained panelists, and to identify the combinations of the constituent characteristic of knit fabric which offer consumers greater utility. Conjoint analysis was conducted using data taken from 54 trained and 54 untrained panelists, who rated preference for 12 different knit fabrics. The stitch length had a greater effect on knit fabric preference than the mixture ratio of fiber. There was no difference on effect of knit constituent characteristics for preference between the trained and the untrained panelists. Total, trained and untrained group preferred a knit fabric that had a higher acrylic mixture ratio and a short stitch length.

  • Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement is originally developed quality program in Korea for supplier's quality level-up since 1995. The quality target is below the 10ppm(parts per million) in outgoing quality and delivered goods plus field claim. This Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement program was conducted to realize the anticipated results not only due to management result level's increasing, but also the company's confidence and competitiveness. This study attempted to find the mutual influences on the participation of the constituent members, satisfaction of the constituent members and results of the management from Single PPM Quality Innovation Movement. The reliance analysis for the measurement material on the questionnaire was verified by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Participation of the constituent members, satisfaction of the constituent member and result of the management, the influences upon Single PPM improvement degree level were verified through the structural analysis by using SPSS statistic package. The influence evaluation among the groups was evaluated by the structure equation.

  • This paper provides an analysis of the linear constituent order of the NP in three different types of languages based on 33 languages: the NP with the prenominal modifiers, the NP with the postnominal modifiers, and the NP with both prenominal and postnominal modifiers (the mixed NP). Languages have NPs that feature different linear order, of the NP constituents. We attribute such different linear constituent orders within the NP to the linguistic distance and the limits imposed by the constituency and adjacency. We use the various kinds of alignment constraints which properly reflect the linguistic distance between the noun and each constituent. Language universals on word order provide us some general orders of various NP constituents. If we adopt the linguistic distance, the limits imposed by the constituency and the adjacency, and the alignment constraints, we can explain the complicated differences of NP constituent orders of languages of the world.

  • This study first defines the fashion convention industry as an idea that includes international conventions, exhibitions and collections mainly dealing with fashion (fabric·material, clothing·fashion, and machinery·equipment). It then infers constituents of the industry based on preceding studies on service quality and satisfaction, and analyzes their importance and the structural relation between constituent performance, satisfaction and ex post behaviour. Also it analyzes perception difference of the organizer and participators on constituent importance, performance, and satisfaction. In the survey, a total of 500 questionnaires were distributed to the organizers and participants of 2001 Seoul Fashion Week, and among them, 259 questionnaires from the participants and 18 from the organizers were used as data for the demonstrative analysis. LISREL 8 program and SPSS WIN V. 8.0 were used for a statistical process of collected data.

  • This paper explores a method of text watermarking for agglutinative languages and develops a syntactic tree-based syntactic constituent movement scheme. Agglutinative languages provide a good ground for the syntactic tree-based natural language watermarking because syntactic constituent order is relatively free. Our proposed natural language watermarking method consists of seven procedures. First, we construct a syntactic dependency tree of unmarked text. Next, we perform clausal segmentation from the syntactic tree. Third, we choose target syntactic constituents, which will move within its clause. Fourth, we determine the movement direction of the target constituents. Then, we embed a watermark bit for each target constituent. Sixth, if the watermark bit does not coincide with the direction of the target constituent movement, we displace the target constituent in the syntactic tree. Finally, from the modified syntactic tree, we obtain a marked text. From the experimental results, we show that the coverage of our method is 91.53%, and the rate of unnatural sentences of marked text is 23.16%, which is better than that of previous systems. Experimental results also show that the marked text keeps the same style, and it has the same information without semantic distortion.

  • This study attempted to investigate the perspective of the skirts of male and female students by analyzing the differences in image evaluation according to the constituent elements (type, length, and wearing method) of men's skirt designs in modern fashion. The study included 109 male and female college students from Generation Z residing or whose life center was in Gwangju Metropolitan City, to evaluate 12 images depicting types of men's skirts. First, the constituent image evaluation factors according to the constituent design elements of men's skirts were analyzed. Second, the differences in each constituent image evaluation factor based on the constituent design elements of men's skirt designs were analyzed. Third, the gender-based differences in image evaluation by men and women concerning the constituent design elements of men's skirt designs were analyzed. The analysis included relatively more women than men. The results of the image recognition dimension included the following categories: "attractive image," "evaluable image," "gender image," and "personality image." In modern fashion, skirts are used to express the diverse personalities of men's fashion. Thus, they are used beyond the stereotype of women's clothing, toward expanding and diversifying the image of men's clothing through mixing and creating a dichotomous image of men and women. It can be used as a design that suggests a gender-fluid image.

  • Constitutive modeling of constituent materials is very important for reinforced concrete (RC) frames. Cyclic constitutive behavior of unconfined concrete, confined concrete and reinforcing steel should be well defined in fiber-based discretization of RC sections. This study performs nonlinear dynamic analyses of RC frame structures to investigate the sensitivity of seismic behavior of such frames to different constitutive models of constituent materials. The study specifically attempts to examine confinement effects in concrete modeling and degrading effects in steel modeling, which substantially affects the monotonic, cyclic and seismic responses of RC members and frames. Based on the system level analysis, it is shown that the response of non-ductile frames is less sensitive to confined concrete models while the modeling of reinforcing steel is quite influential to the inelastic response of both non-ductile and ductile frames.

  • In this study, we analyze the maximum power generation of photovoltaic(PV) module depending on constituent materials and incidence angle dependence of light. To verify characteristics of constituent materials, we made photovoltaic modules with 4 kinds of solar cells and textured glass according to fabrication method. To find the degree of the maximum power generation dependence on intensity of light, Solar Simulator is applied by changing angle of module and light intensity. Through this experiment, to obtain maximum power generation from limited PV modules, it is needed to fully understand constituent materials, fabrication method and dependence of incident light characteristics.
