다차원 격자부호의 변조 방법에 대한 신호공간 분석 (A Signal Space Analysis on Multidimensional Trellis Coding with Modem)

  • 이 논문은 격자 부호화 방식을 비교, 분석한 것으로, 구조 및 설계에 대한 기본 개념을 논의하였다. 격자 부호화 변조에 대한 부호 이득의 추정 방법과 착오 계수 효과에 대하여 이론적으로 고찰하고, 음성대역 모뎀에서의 다차원 부호화 및 차동적 부호화의 변조 방법에 대해 신호 공간 분석을 하였다. 결과적으로 16차원적 신호점 배치법이 2차원적 신호점 배치보다 우수하다는 결론을 얻었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 VDR(VHF Data Radio)용 선형 25Watt 고출력 증폭기 회로를 설계하고 제작하여 특성을 측정하였다. VDR의 주파수 대역은 117.975~137MHz이고, CSMA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access) 다중 접속방식, D8PSK(Differential Eight Phase Shift Keyed), 25kHz 채널 대역폭을 사용한다. 또한 DO-281A MOPS에 규정된 출력 전력 및 심볼 배열 에러, 불요파 방사, 인접채널 전력을 만족해야 한다. 설계한 고출력증폭기는 DO-281A 표준을 만족한다.

  • 초직교 시공간 격자 부호(Super-Orthogonal Space-Time Trellis Codes; SOSTTC)는 직교 행렬의 집합을 확장하여 부호율의 손실 없이 부호 이득과 다이버시티 이득을 동시에 얻는 방법이다. SOSTTC에서 신호 집합 확장은 부호 행렬의 첫째 열을 회전시킴으로써 이루어진다. 기존에 사용된 회전각은 성능 개선보다 신호 성좌의 확장을 피하기 위한 목적으로 선택되었다. 본 논문에서는 고속 레일리 페이딩 채널에서 SOSTTC의 성능을 개선하기 위해 적당한 회전각을 선택하기 위한 설계 요건을 만들었다. 또한, 적당한 회전각을 사용하여 개선된 SOSTTC를 설계하였다. 그리고 모의실험을 통하여 본 논문에서 설계된 SOSTTC가 기존의 SOSTTC 보다 BER 성능 면에서 더 뛰어남을 입증하였다.

A Design and Implementation Mobile Game Based on Kinect Sensor

  • In this paper, we design and implement a mobile game based on Kinect sensor. This game is a motion recognition maze game based on Kinect sensor using XNA Game Studio. The game consists of three stages. Each maze has different size and clear time limit. A player can move to the next stage only if the player finds the exit within a limited time. However, if the exit is not found within the time limit, the game ends. In addition, two kinds of mini games are included in the game. The first game is a fruit catch game using motion recognition tracking of the Kinect sensor, and player have to pick up a certain number of randomly falling fruits. If a player acquire a certain number of fruits at this time, the movement speed of the player is increased. However, if a player takes a skeleton that appears randomly, the movement speed will decrease. The second game is a Quiz game using the speech recognition function of the Kinect sensor, and a question from random genres of common sense, nonsense, ancient creature, capital, constellation, etc. are issued. If a player correctly answers more than 7 of 10 questions, the player gets useful items to use in finding the maze. This item is a navigator fairy that helps the player to escape the forest.

  • 2014 Venice Biennale of Architecture, presented by general director Rem Koolhaas, has shown the distinct difference between his present displays and past displays. Under the theme of FUNDAMENTALS and ABSORBING MODERNITY, Rem Koolhaas has developed his own unique way which is a research-oriented display technique to explain the difference at the exhibition. The purpose of this study is to define a research-oriented display technique as realism rhetoric for the opened dialectic and identify its aspect of a methodic approach. This report investigated not only Rem Koolhaas's thought and theoretical approach through his work but also the comparison of between his present and past displays. His display is based on the constellation of Central Pavilion, National Pavilions, and Arsenale display and reflected the reality of architecture in self-deception through the metonymical interaction of various facts and records. Rem Koolhaas called it the composition of contradiction. In his work, the spatial situation which is the present has been made with the intervention of historical events and has revived the reality of architecture. Also, the present is a montage of the strict control of architecture, the isolation from the architecture itself, and the autonomic communication with other fields. Finally, as a result of his work, Rem Koolhaas has shown that his display is not the end of phase but a phase of creation.

프라이 오토의 '자연적 구조'의 건축적 이념에 관한 연구 (A Study on the architectural Idea of 'the natural Construction' of Frei Otto)

  • Frei Otto, who is called to be the father of the ecological architecture, has shaped a peculiar architectural form style. In distance from the formalistic persistence to the modernist form canon and the postmodern tendencies to the self-representation of architects, Frei Otto has taken a more fundamentalistic position. Through the interdisciplinary researches on the self-organizing processes in the nature and the technical world Frei Otto could reason with architects, engineers, biologists, historians and philosophers the principle and structure of the natural construction that is applicable to the morphological research and the architectural construction research. In the middle of his architectural and scientific works is the idea of 'the natural construction' situated, and the basic principle and instrument of this 'Die Prinzip der Selbstbildung, The Principle of Self-making'. Founding himself on this principle, Frei Otto seeks after the new architectural form that is light, natural, flexible and variable by reasoning the typical formation process which refers to the common denominator of the self-making processes in the nature, the technique and the architecture. Despite his architecture is to be called to the anonymous, his architectural vision is headed toward the rationalistic form in accord with the natural laws. This study is purposed to elucidate the constellation to which his scientific attempts belong and the theoretical and methodological foundations of his architecture of 'the natural construction'.

  • In this paper, design and applications of a generalized, versatile and customizable IF signal generator that can model the modernized GPS and Galileo signal is given. It generates IF sampled data that can be directly used by a software receiver. Entire constellation of satellites which is independent of satellite-user geometry is easily determined using a real or simulated ephemeris data. Since the IF center frequency, sampling frequency and quantization bit number are user location dependent parameters, their effects are also considered in IF signal generator. The generalized IF signal generator will be very well suited for the development phase of a software receiver due to its versatility. The full access to the sampling frequency, front-end filter definition and ADC parameters also offers a great opportunity for cost-effective analysis of tracking loops and error mitigation techniques at the receiver level. Interference sources can be easily added to the generator to simulate specific environments. This software IF signal generator can also be used to feed a multi-frequency multi-system software receiver for the prototyping of a combined GPS/Galileo receiver. The test result using the generated signals and a real software receiver shows the effectiveness of the implemented IF signal generator.

지상시험모델 로버 주행장치 개념 설계 (Conceptual Design of Rover's Mobility System for Ground-Based Model)

  • 최근 미국, 유럽, 일본 등 우주선진국을 중심으로 달, 화성 등 행성 탐사를 위한 로버(Rover) 시스템에 대해 많은 연구 개발이 진행되고 있다. 행성탐사용 로버 시스템 기술 중 특히 주행장치, 자율 주행 알고리즘, 탑재체 등을 중심으로 많은 연구가 수행되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 실제 행성탐사에 앞서 지상에서 로버 주행장치의 주행성 및 안정성을 평가하기 위해 지상시험모델용 로버의 주행장치에 대한 개념 설계 내용을 소개하였다. 또한, 로버 주행장치의 기술적인 관점에서 해외 연구개발 사례를 분석, 기술하였다. 이를 통해 로버 주행장치 개발을 위한 요구사항들을 주행성과 안정성 관점을 고려하여 도출하였다. 설계된 로버 주행장치는 높은 주행성과 안정성을 만족하기 위해 6족을 가지고 있으며, 각 다리의 관절을 제어하는 능동 서스펜션(Active Suspension)을 적용하였다. 이러한 종류의 주행장치 개념은 근미래 (Constellation 프로그램)에 수행될 유인달 탐사에서 이동 및 거주 장치로써 NASA의 ATHELE을 통해 처음 적용하여 개발하고 있다. 이 연구에서 제안된 장치 개념은 이와 달리 우리나라에서 앞으로 수행할 무인소형 달탐사에 적용하고자 설계되었다. 이 논문에서 소개된 내용은 향후 국내에서 행성탐사용 로버시스템을 본격적으로 개발하고자 할 때 유용한 참고자료 및 경험을 제공할 것 이다.

임계변형률 이론에 기반한 초소형 위성용 SAR 제어부 전장품 구조설계 (Structural Design of SAR Control Units for Small Satellites Based on Critical Strain Theory)

  • 초소형 위성체의 태생적 공간 제약으로 탑재 전장품은 발사진동환경 하 구조건전성 확보를 위한 보강설계 적용에 한계가 존재하며, 피로파괴에 취약한 고집적 소자의 실장으로 고신뢰도의 평가기법이 요구된다. 종래 전장품 구조건전성 평가를 위해 Steinberg 피로파괴 이론이 적용되고 있으나 최근 연구들에서 이론적 한계점들이 보고되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상기 이론의 한계점을 극복한 임계변형률 이론기반 방법론을 적용하여 초소형 SAR 군집위성 S-STEP(Small SAR Technology Experimental Project)의 X대역 SAR 탑재체 구성품 중 DCU(Digital Control Unit)를 설계하였다. 설계 유효성 검증을 위해 단순화된 모델링 기법을 기반으로 모드 해석, 랜덤 해석을 수행하였다. 적용한 방법론을 기반으로 해석 결과분석 및 안전여유 도출과 발사진동환경시험 전후 기능시험을 통해 최종적으로 전장품의 구조건전성이 확보됨을 입증하였다.

제주도 효제문자도 도상을 활용한 테셀레이션 기법의 텍스타일 패턴디자인 개발 - 신(信)자도를 중심으로 - (Development of Textile Pattern Design by Tessellation Technique using Iconography of Jeju's Hyojemunjado - Focused on characters -)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop textile pattern designs by utilizing the prototype of traditional culture extracted from cultural resources in order to establish a specialty strategy for local cultural contents. To achieve this, the study selected the Hyojaemunjado as source of Jeju traditional culture. Jeju's Hyojaemunjado is characterized mainly by the creative and unique formativeness of Jeju's character paintings. Character paintings often contained images related to the characters featured inside characters, or composed stroke with symbolic iconography. The main subjects of Hyojaemunjado were stories that alluded to the Confucian virtues. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to remind people of the real meaning of Shin(truth) by developing textile pattern designs, which borrows the tessellation technique for design, and the dominant characteristic of geometric abstraction. This study used theoretical research and empirical analysis. First, the study did the theatrical research on Hyojaemunjado based on literature and precedent studies, and then analyzed the style of expression and formativeness on the Shin character paintings through real analysis of Jeju's Hyojaemunjado kept in Jeju National University Museum. Second, based on the analysis of the style(three-tier composition) and formativeness of Hyojaemunjado, it analyzed the formativeness of the iconography about Shin, i.e. character types(semi cursive style, square style) drawn according to the symbolic meaning, palace, unknown flower, pheasant, tile fish and constellation. Based on analysis of the iconography, it stylized the motives that became available on the Archimedean tiling of tessellation, and then developed the textile pattern designs by arranging the iconographic motives with Platonic tiling and Semi-tiling. The reason why this study borrowed tessellation was to create various visual effects using the size of angle, symmetry and change and joint with simple figure.
