Processing, structure, and properties of lead-free piezoelectric NBT-BT

  • Lead-free piezoelectric materials have been actively studied to substitute for conventional PZT based solid solution, $Pb(Zr_xTi_{1-x}O_3)$, which occurs unavoidable PbO during the sintering process. Among them, Bismuth Sodium Titanate, $Na_{0.5}Bi_{0.5}TiO_3$ (abbreviated as NBT) based solid solution is attracted for the one of excellent candidates which shows the strong ferroelectricity, Curie temperature (Tc), remnant polarization (Pr) and coercive field (Ec). Especially, the solid solution of rhombohedral phase NBT with tetragonal perovskite phase has a rhombohedral - tetragonal morphotropic phase boundary. Modified NBT with tetragonal perovskite at the region of MPB can be applied for high frequency ultrasonic application because of not only its low permittivity, high electrocoupling factor and high mechanical strength, but also effective piezoelectric activity by poling. In this study, solid state ceramic processing of NBT and modified NBT, $(Na_{0.5}Bi_{0.5})_{0.93}Ba_{0.7}TiO_3$ (abbreviated as NBT-7BT), at the region of MPB using 7 % $BaTiO_3$ as a tetragonal perovskite was introduced and the structure between NBT and NBT-7BT were analyzed using rietveld refinement. Also, the ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of NBT-7BT such as permittivity, piezoelectric constant, polarization hysteresis and strain hysteresis loop were compared with those of pure NBT.

Nd(Ⅲ)과 B15C5 치환체와의 착물의 구조에 관한 연구 (Structural Studies on Complexes of Substituted B15C5 with Nd(Ⅲ))

  • 아세톤($Ac-d_6$)에서 B15C5과 ND(3)과의 착물형성에 따른 조성비와 구조를 NMR를 이용하여 연구하였다. 일정한 농도의 B15C5에 Nd(3)의 농도 증가에 따른 공명선이 저자기장 이동되었으며, 착물의 조성비가 1:1임을 알 수 있었다. 수소피크의 띠넓힘 현상은 Nd(3)과 산소원자와의 상호작용에 기인한다고 생각된다. 또한 고체상에서의 치환된 B15C5와 Nd(III)과의 착물의 구조를 적외선스펙트럼으로 연구하였다. 그 결과 착물형성시 니트라토기가 두자리 리간드로 배위되었고, 비대칭 C-C-O 신축 진동의 띠이동이 있었다. 이로부터 Nd(3)-B15C5 착물의 구조는 Nd(3)에 5개의 산소원자와 3개의 두자리 니트라토기가 배위된 형태임을 알 수 있었다.

자료포락분석을 이용한 전기차 충전소 운영효율성 평가 (Evaluation of Operational Efficiency for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Using Data Envelopment Analysis)

  • Evaluating the operational efficiency of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCSs) is important to understand charging network evolution and the charging behavior of electric vehicle users. However, aggregation of efficiency performance metrics poses a significant challenge to practitioners and researchers. In general, the operational efficiency of EVCSs can be measured as a complicated function of various factors with multiple criteria. Such a complex aspect of managing EVCSs becomes one of the challenging issues to measure their operational efficiency. Considering the difficulty in the efficiency measurement, this paper suggests a way to measure the operational efficiency of EVCSs based on data envelopment analysis (DEA). The DEA model is formulated as constant returns of output-oriented model with five types of inputs, four of them are the numbers of floating population and nearby charging stations, distance of nearby charging stations and traffic volume as desirable inputs and the other is the traffic speed in congestion as undesirable one. Meanwhile, the output is given by the charging frequency of EVCSs in a day. Using real-world data obtained from reliable sources, we suggest operational efficiencies of EVCSs in Seoul and discuss implications on the development of electric vehicle charging network. The result of efficiency measurement shows that most of EVCSs in Seoul are inefficient, while some districts (Nowon-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, Dongjak-gu, Songpa-gu, Guro-gu) have relatively more efficient EVCSs than the others.

관수로 부정류 마찰항 보정을 위한 Levenberg Marquardt 방법의 적용연구 (Application of Levenberg Marquardt Method for Calibration of Unsteady Friction Model for a Pipeline System)

  • 이 논문에서는 관망시스템의 마찰항을 보정하기 위해서, 부정류 마찰 모형과 Levenberg Marquardt 방법을 합성하였다. 부정류 마찰항을 고려하기 위한 방법으로 빈도 의존 마찰항을 사용하였으며, 특성선 방법을 모형 개발의 기반으로 하였다. 최적화에 필요한 Hessian과 Jacobian 행렬을 구하기위해서 수압을 직접 마찰항에 미분한 항을 계산하였으며, 특성선 방법상에서의 다양한 수압과 유량에 대한 마찰계수의 민감도를 수식으로 유도하였다. 간단한 관망을 가정한 뒤, 갑작스런 밸브의 거동으로 도입된수압의 시계열을 확보하였고, 이를 이용하여 정상류 마찰 모형과 부정류 마찰모형의 마찰항 보정을 수행하였다. 제안된 방법과 진화 연산 알고리즘의 마찰항 수렴거동을 비교하였으며, Leveberg Marquardt 방법의 안정적이고 신속한 수렴결과를 확인하였다.

모델 시스템에서 동결속도에 따른 얼음 결정체의 크기 및 동결건조속도의 변화 (Influence of Freezing Process on the Change of Ice Crystal Size and Freeze-Drying Rate in a Model System)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of freezing rate on ice crystal size and freeze-drying rate. Our experiments were carried out with self-manufactured freeze-dryer. Gelatin gels (2% w / w, 80$\times$20mm) were frozen unidirectionally (Neumann's model) from the bottom at -45, -30, -20, and -15$^{\circ}C$ and followed with freeze-drying. Under the upper conditions we measured freezing rate and the change of temperature and pressure during freeze drying. Freeze-dried gelatins were cut horizontally into 5 mm thickness from the bottom and measured their pore sizes. Also freeze-drying rate(primary drying) is estimated by measuring the temperature of sample and pressure of vacuum chamber. During freeze-drying, profiles of pressure and temperature were shown constant tendency regardless of freezing temperature and we could expect the end-point of freeze drying by considering pressure and temperature together. In temperature profiles, the point which temperature increased significantly was observed during freeze-drying. There is no relationship between freeze temperature and drying rate of primary drying in our model system. As freezing temperature increased, ice crystal size(X*) which correspond to 63.2% of cumulative frequency was increased and at the same freezing temperature ice crystal size(X*) was decreased with distance from the bottom of the sample. Freezing conditions have a strong influence on the quality of the final freeze-dried products in freeze-drying system.

Reduction of Electromagnetic Field from Wireless Power Transfer Using a Series-Parallel Resonance Circuit Topology

  • In this paper, we implemented and analyzed a wireless power transfer (WPT) system with a CSPR topology. CSPR refers to constant current source, series resonance circuit topology of a transmitting coil, parallel resonance circuit topology of a receiving coil, and pure resistive loading. The transmitting coil is coupled by a magnetic field to the receiving coil without wire. Although the electromotive force (emf) is small (about 4.5V), the voltage on load resistor is 148V, because a parallel resonance scheme was adopted for the receiving coil. The implemented WPT system is designed to be able to transfer up to 1 kW power and can operate a LED TV. Before the implementation, the EMF reduction mechanism based on the use of ferrite and a metal shield box was confirmed by an EM simulation and we found that the EMF can be suppressed dramatically by using this shield. The operating frequency of the implemented WPT system is 30.7kHz and the air gap between two coils is 150mm. The power transferred to the load resistor is 147W and the real power transfer efficiency is 66.4 %.

영구자석 동기 전동기의 고조파 주입 센서리스 기법 시뮬레이션 모델 (Simulation Model of Harmonics Injection Sensorless Technique for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)

  • 본 연구에서와 같이 전동기의 저속 영역 운전의 센서리스 기법으로 적합한 고조파 주입 센서리스 제어기법의 시뮬링크 시뮬레이션 모델을 제안한다. 본 모델에 적용되는 전동기는 영구자석 전동기이다. 또한, 다양한 고조파 주입 기법중 1kHz 구형파를 주입하는 기법을 사용한다. 고조파 주입에 따른 전동기의 전동기 상수의 변화는 시뮬링크에서 제공하는 전동기의 상수조정을 통해 구현한다. 시뮬링크의 함수와 라이브러리에서 제공하는 모델을 통해 센서리스 기법을 구현한다. 전류에 포함된 고조파 성분을 필터를 이용하여 추출하고, 추출된 파형을 이용하여 영구자석 전동기의 각도를 검출함을 보인다. 그리하여 1kW 영구자석 전동기에 적용된 시뮬레이션 파형에서의 전동기 각도 추정파형과 전동기 제어관련 파형을 통해 시뮬레이션 모델의 타당성을 보인다.

토석류 방재구조물 성능 검토 수치해석 - Case study: 부산 백양산 (Case Study for Efficiency of Counter-Debrisflow Structures in Baekyang Mt.)

  • The number of landslides has increased since the 2000s due to the increased frequency of heavy rainfall caused by abnormal weather. A variety of debris flow prevention facilities have been installed as a countermeasure against this problem. However, it is not easy to evaluate the efficiency of debris flow prevention structures except for the structures with constant volume such as the erosion dam, because the other structures are limited to be reproduced in simulation program for debris flow. Therefore, the methods by which the debris flow prevention structures were modeled were proposed, and the efficiency of four prevention structures installed in Baekyang Mt. in Busan was evaluated with UDS, which accuracy had been verified, using these methods. The initial amount of debris flow was determined based on landslide which occurred in 2014, and specifications of the complex retaining walls around the settlements were measured and applied modeling for terrain. The numerical results showed that the efficiency of debris flow prevention structures could be quantitatively presented. Among the debris flow prevention structures installed in Baekyang Mt., prevention structure of barrier type for debris flow was the most efficiency and debris flow prevention device was the lowest efficiency when the only depth of debris was evaluated. It seems that this study is meaningful to propose the methods which were used to model the debris flow prevention structures that could not be reproduced in most 2D debris flow numerical analysis programs. If precise verification of the presented methods is carried out, it will be possible to provide clear criteria for the efficiency evaluation method of disaster prevention structures.

소형화 구조를 위한 koch curve 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나 설계 (Design of Koch Curve Microstrip Patch Antenna for Miniaturization Structure)

  • 안테나에서의 소형화 기법은 안테나의 물리적인 모양을 변형하여 공진에 필요한 전기적인 길이를 주어진 공간에서 최대화하고 경우에 따라서 고차의 공진모드를 이용하는 방법이다. 가장 대표적인 설계방법으로는 헬리컬 안테나, 미앤더 안테나, 프랙탈 안테나 등이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 소형화 안테나는 프랙탈 개념의 koch curve 구조이다. 안테나는 ISM 대역의 2.45 GHz 주파수이며, 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나로 제작하였다. koch curve 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나는 유전율 4.7, 유전체 높이 1.6 mm, 손실 탄젠트 0.02의 FR4 epoxy 기판을 사용하였으며, 에칭공정으로 제작하였다. 제작된 안테나의 반사손실 결과는 2.45 GHz 대역에서 -23.17 dB, VSWR 결과는 1.1491, 임피던스 정합은 $46{\Omega}$이다.

진공증착법을 이용한 유기 박막의 전기적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Electrical Characteristic of Organic Thin Film by Physical Vapor Deposition Method)

  • The purpose of this paper is to discuss the fabrication of $\beta$-PVDF($\beta$-Polyvinylidene fluoride, ${\beta}-PVF_2$) organic thin films using the vapor deposition method. Vapor deposition was performed under the following conditions: the temperature of evaporator, the applied electric field, and the pressure of reaction chamber were $270^{\circ}C$, 142.4 kV/cm, and $2.0{\times}10^{-5}\;Torr$, respectively. The molecular structure of the evaporated organic thin films were evaluated by a FT-IR. The results showed that the characteristic absorption peaks of $\beta$-form crystal increase from 72% to 95.5% with an increase in the substrate temperature. In the analysis of the electric characteristics, the abnormal increases in the relative dielectric constant and the dielectric loss factor in the regions of low frequency and high temperature are known to be caused by inclusion of impurity carriers in the PVDF organic thin films. In order to analyze quantitatively the abnormalities in the conductivity mechanism caused by ionic impurities, the product of the ion density and the mobility that affect the electrical property in polymeric insulators is analyzed. In the case of a specimen produced by varying the substrate temperature from $30^{\circ}C$ to $105^{\circ}C$, the product of mobility and the ion density decreased from $4.626{\times}10^8$ to $8.47{\times}10^7/V{\cdot}cm{\cdot}s$. This result suggests that the higher the substrate temperature is maintained, the better excluded the impurities are, and the more electrically stable material can be obtained.
