GPR 유전률 상수 보정과 영상자료 패턴분석을 통한 비금속 관로 탐사 정확도 확보 방안 (Study to Improve the Accuracy of Non-Metallic Pipeline Exploration using GPR Permittivity Constant Correction and Image Data Pattern Analysis)

  • 싱크홀 탐사 등 지반조사를 위한 기술로 개발된 GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar)은 지하시설물 탐사에서 불탐구간을 해소하기 위한 방법으로 한정되어 사용하고 있었다. 정부는 지하시설물 데이터의 정확도 개선을 위하여 2022년 7월부터 비금속 관로 탐사기를 이용한 지하시설물 탐사가 가능하도록 하였다. 그러나 GPR은 점토층 등과 같이 연약지반 같은 수분함량이 높은 지반에서 탐사율도 낮아지고, 정확도에 많은 변동이 발생하는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 GPR의 특성과 지하시설물의 환경을 고려한 탐사정확도 향상방안으로 유전률 상수 보정과 GPR 영상자료의 패턴분석을 이용한 지하시설물 GPR탐사 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통하여 GPR 주파수 대역과 이기종 GPR을 적용한 현장검증 결과 지하시설물 탐사의 정확도 향상 및 높은 재현성 결과를 도출하였다.

自動自差修正이 가능한 電子컴퍼스의 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of the Electronic compass for Automatic Correction do Deviation)

  • 本 硏究에서 試驗制作한 電子컴퍼스는 3軸磁氣센서와 傾斜角센서, 그리고 光자이로센서로 構成하였으며, 이들 각 센서의 出力特性과 性能 및 自差補正의 精度를 확인한 結果는 다음과 같다. 1) 3軸 磁氣센서의 出力特性은, X軸에서 측정된 磁界는 cos커브, Y軸에서는 -sin 커브, 그리고 Z軸에서는 그 값이 일정하게 나타나고 있어서 3軸 磁氣센서로서의 기능이 충분하다고 사료되며, 이때 出力電壓으로부터 算出된 地磁氣의 水平成分 H와 垂直成分 V는 각각 H=33.2${\mu}$T, V=23.95${\mu}$T였다. 2)光자이로 센서를 電動回轉台에 고정시키고, 시계방향으로 10$^{\circ}$/sec, 20$^{\circ}$/sec, 30$^{\circ}$/sec의 속도로 회전시켰을 때, 光자이로센서의 出力과 回轉角度와의 관계는 모두 일정한 값으로 비례함을 알 수 있다. 3) 補正前 自差는 磁界에 의해 誘導되고 있기 때문에, 최대 -25$^{\circ}$까지 크게 나타나고 있으나, 포와숀 補正法을 이용한 補正後의 자差는 ${\pm}2^{\circ}$ 범위 이내로 補正前에 비하여 自差가 현저히 작게 나타나고 있어서, 이번 硏究에서 試驗制作한 電子컴퍼스로 自動自差修正이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

강판항(鋼板桁) 덮개판 형상에 따른 피로균열성장특성 (Fatigue Crack Growth Characteristics by the Cover Plate Shapes in the Steel Plate Girder)

  • When a variety of repeated loads are given, most steel structures failed in much lower level of loads than static failure loads. In addition, bridge always includes the internal defects or discontinuities. from these, fatigue cracks initiates and can lead to sudden failure. Thus, in this study, tensile specimens by the cover plate shapes were used as the test specimens. The fatigue test was performed by constant amplitude fatigue loading and beach mark. From the results of this study, each specimen's fatigue section was observed. in addition, stress intensity factor at crack tip was calculated by using the Green's function which applied to discontinuous section where causing stress concentration. Therefore, the fatigue life of structural detail was investigated by adopting the theories of fracture mechanics. each specimen's crack shape is a semi-elliptical surface crack or center crack sheet, stress gradient correction factor, Fg is the most subjective of all stress intensity correction factors and fatigue life should be predicted by previous proposed function and finite element analysis.

Moon Phase based Threshold Determination for VIIRS Boat Detection

  • Awareness of boats is a main issue in areas of fishery management, illegal fishing, and maritime traffic, etc. For the awareness, Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Vessel-Pass System (V-PASS) have been widely used to collect the boat-related information. However, only using these systems makes it difficult to collect the accurate information. Recently, satellite-based data has been increasingly used as a cooperative system. In 2015, U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) developed a boat detection algorithm using Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Day & Night Band (DNB) data. Although the detections have been widely utilized in many publications, it is difficult to estimate the night-time fishing boats immediately. Particularly, it is difficult to estimate the threshold due to the lunar irradiation effect. This effect must be corrected to apply a single specific threshold. In this study, the moon phase was considered as the main frequency of this effect. Considering the moon phase, relational expressions are derived and then used as offsets for relative correction. After the correction, it shows a significant reduction in the standard deviation of the threshold compared to the threshold of NOAA. Through the correction, this study can set a constant threshold every day without determination of different thresholds. In conclusion, this study can achieve the detection applying the single specific threshold regardless of the moon phase.

Error Correction Technique of Distance Measurement for ToF LIDAR Sensor

  • This paper presents design for error correcting algorithm of the time of flight (ToF) detection value in the light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system sensor. The walk error of ToF value is generated by change of the received signal power depending on distance between the LIDAR sensor and object. The proposed method efficiently compensates the ToF value error by the independent ToF value calculation from the received signal using both rising point and falling point. A constant error of ~0.05 m is obtained after the walk error correction while an increasing error up to ~1 m is obtained with conventional method.

  • This paper presents the digital control of single-phase power factor correction(PFC) converter which has the variable gain according to the condition of inner control loop error. Generally the gain of inner current control loop in single-stage PFC converter has a constant magnitude. This has a bad influence on the power factor because current loop doesn't operate smoothly in the condition that input voltage is low In particular a digital controller has more time delay than an analog controller and degrades This drops the phase margin of the total digital PFC system,. It causes the problem that the gain of current control loop isn't increased enough. In addition the oscillation happens in the peak value of the input voltage open loop PFC system gain changes according to ac input voltage. These aspects make the design of the digital PFC controller difficult The digital PFC controller presented in this paper has a variable gain of current control loop according to input voltage. The 1kW converter was used to verify the efficiency of the digital PFC controller.

  • A new zero voltage switching PWN converter family is presented by using a new ZVS PWN module (ZPM) with a saturable inductor which prevents diode junction capacitors and a commutation inductor from resonating. The new converters show almost all characteristics of the conventional PWN converters. A boost ZVS PWN converter is applied to a power factor correction circuit. It operates on an continuous conduction mode. Experimental results for output power of 1kW are presented.

  • Allowable stacking duration of the corrugated fiberboard boxes being widely used for packaging fruits and vegetables was analyzed by the creep behavior and the cumulative load correction factor for the boxes. The stacking boxes were assumed to be stored at a nearly constant temperature and relative humidity condition. When the stacking duration was short period, the stacking height determined by two methods showed a little difference between them, but almost no difference was shown as the stacking duration was longer. Allowable stacking duration was rapidly decreased with the increase of static load applied on the stacking boxes, and allowable stacking duration of Box A was estimated the longer than that of Box B. A model of allowable stacking duration for the corrugated fiberboard box was developed as a function of the stacking load and the ambient relative humidity.

  • Pratical dispersion-correction scheme is applicated to simulate the distant propagation of tsunami. This scheme is based on the leap-frog finite difference scheme for the linear shallow-water equations. The new scheme has the advantage of using the constant spatial grid size and time step size even in area of variable depths. And this new model constructed by using the 2nd upwind scheme, dynamic linking method, and staggered grid system. This model is simulated to near Sokcho harbor about The Central East Sea Tsunami in 1983. And this result is compared to tide gage and result of former model.

  • This paper proposes a new high efficiency single-phase AC-DC boost converter for power factor correction. Lossless commutation circuit is interposed in the proposed converter for soft-switching. Due to this commutation circuit, the converter operates in 9 mode. In spite of changing input voltage and load, It attracts a constant DC output voltage because of the PWM control scheme using both the output voltage feedback and the input voltage feedforward. The converter is suitable for high power applications and operates in continuous conduction mode. In this paper, a 2.4[kW] converter is designed and simulated.
