When firms are confronted with IT investment decision-makings, technical or financial factors are widely considered. However, based on sociotechnical systems theory, it is argued that in addition to the traditional factors, social issues must be considered in the IT investment decision-makings. Even though the strategic criteria of social issues within organization are important for IT investment decision-makings, the social or organizational issues are hardly considered in IT implementation and adoption(Ryan and Harrison, 2000). The objective of this study is to empirically verify how the comprehensive consideration of both of technical and organizational issues related with IT investment affects firm performance through its impact on IT technical capability and IT personnel skills. Senior managers of 153 Korean firms were surveyed, and the collected data were analyzed with PLS technique. The results of the PLS path analysis show that the comprehensive consideration of the technical and social issues affected indirectly firm performance through IT technical capability and IT personnel skills. It is found that the comprehensive consideration had a significant impact on IT technical capability and IT personnel skills, and that IT technical capability and IT personnel skills affected firm performance. IT personnel was also found to affect IT technical capability. Finally, this study found that the consideration of social factors had greater impacts on firm performance than that of technical factors.

파이핑에 의한 제방 사고의 원인은 설계과정에서 파이핑 현상에 대한 정확한 이해 없이 단순 적용되는 검토과정이 문제의 한 원인이 된다. 이에 본 연구는 사질토 지반에 가까운 제방단면에 sheet pile을 타입할 때 굴착면에서 기존의 파이핑 검토 방법들을 비교 분석하였다. Terzaghi 방법과 한계동수경사 방법에서 안전율은 각 방법에 따라 최대 2배의 차이를 보였다. 그리고 한계유속 방법은 설계인자를 어떻게 판정하느냐에 따라 큰 편차를 나타내었다. 결론적으로 기존의 파이핑 해석방법을 모든 지반 조건에 일률적으로 적용하기 보다는 지반 조건에 따라 각 해석방법이 가지는 특성을 이해하고 적용해야할 것이다.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of preceptors' transformational leadership on job stress and clinical performance among new graduate nurses. Methods : The study subjects were 180 new nurses in three University Hospitals. General characteristics, leadership, job stress and clinical performance were collected using self-reported questionnaires. Transformational leadership consisted of charisma, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration. T-test, ANOVA, pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were performed to access the effect of leadership on job stress and clinical performance. Results : Of 180 subjects, 94.4% were female. The mean scores of transformational leadership, charisma, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration were $3.9{\pm}.46$, $3.9{\pm}.46$, $3.9{\pm}.57$ and $4.0{\pm}.58$, respectively. In multiple regression analysis, overall transformational leadership(${\beta}$=.154, p=.006) and charisma(${\beta}$=.388, p=.008) significantly increased the job stress. On the other hand, individual consideration significantly decreased the job stress (${\beta}$=-.671, p=.048) and increased the clinical performance(${\beta}$=2.472, p=.024). Conclusions : Charisma of preceptors was associated with the increase of job stress, and individual consideration was associated with the decrease of job stress and improvement of clinical performance. Therefore, the preceptors' leadership focusing on individual consideration rather than charisma may reduce job stress and improve clinical performance in the University hospital organization.

This paper, as a preliminary study, presents the important consideration in laboratory planning and designing 4.2MV impulse voltage generator(IVG), which enable to test and evaluate the UHV dielectric performance of power electric apparatus up to 765kV-class. To fix and confirm the kinds of loads and their capacities to be tested by KERI hereafter, wide investigation and an analysis of test objects, especially heavy electric apparatus of Korea, according to their ratings and test voltages have been conducted. With the special consideration concerning other matters in designing of 4.2MV IVG have been described with the practical examples and references.

This paper reports on the dynamics and friction characteristics of piston skirt with consideration of mixed lubrication. Piston skirt is an important part of the engine that transforms fuel into mechanical energy. The durability and low friction characteristics are important recent issues in piston skirt design. In this paper, the piston skirt motion is analyzed with consideration of mixed lubrication and piston skirt tilting motion. The entire trajectory of piston motion is obtained by using transient numerical method. Also various parameter studies are performed for piston skirt design and the development of lower frictional engine.

The purpose of this study is to consider the characteristic of residential life and space in Cohousing and the harmony of privacy and community in it. First consideration is to figure out concepts and case studies of Cohousing. Then, the harmony(of privacy and community) in Cohousing is evaluated within two domains, namely, domestic life and residential space. Consideration of such harmony(of privacy and community) in domestic life focuses on community relations as they manifested, that is, in traditional neighbours roles of caring, and mutual support and in community roles of active participation, common meal and share. Consideration of such harmony within residential spaces is based on the role of Common House, pedestrian traffic and shared outdoor areas. By these means, Cohousing demonstrates new possibilities for a more harmonious residential environment.

This paper describes a probabilistic fracture mechanics (PFM) analysis based on Monte Carlo (MC) simulation. In the analysis of CANDU pressure tube, it is necessary to perform the PFM analyses based on statistical consideration of flaw generation time. A depth and an aspect ratio of initial semi-elliptical surface crack, a fracture toughness value, delayed hydride cracking (DHC) velocity, and flaw generation time are assumed to be probabilistic variables. In all the analyses, degradation of fracture toughness due to neutron irradiation is considered. Also, the failure criteria considered are plastic collapse, unstable fracture and crack penetration. For the crack growth by DHC, the failure probability was evaluated in due consideration of flaw generation time.

The introduction of new equipments to strengthen the competitiveness of enterprises is one of pretty important factors. Enterprises introducing new equipments strengthen competitiveness through productivity increasing, high quality maintenance, inventory reduction, improved design and production interface, simple scheduling process, low scrap rate, rework reduction, etc. Managers will work out the best equipment-replacing strategy through the appropriate combination of potential cost attributes and qualitative attributes difficult to quantify in accordance with the business purpose. This study is to present a method to select an equipment-replacing alternative through the decision-making model of Analytic Hierarchy Process in consideration of the differences of cost flow of the alternatives, taking into consideration tangible attributes and strategic intangible attributes.

For building acoustics, the revision and establishment of ISO JIS were carried out actively in the direction of international harmonization recently. In this consideration, the trends of the ISO and JIS were reviewed and the establishment process of KS was introduced. As a result of this consideration, it is thought to be that 'International Harmonization' should be a base for KS and the speciality of domestic characteristics should be attached to annex.

This study is on the architectural planning and factors for secondary schools. The methods in the approach to the results were settled. A sample of factors that affect architectural scale design were drawn from architectural design direction for a secondary school architectural scale estimation direction. These factors arc broken into primary elements and situational elements. Primary elements include students, teachers, and time. Situational elements include public use percentage, classroom percentage, unit area, coefficient of utilization, etc. The 7 architectural planning criteria to cover changes of various architectural scale design elements are the following; 1) consideration of students selection percentage, 2) consideration of the number of teachers, 3) a variety of possible classrooms, 4) organic operation, 5) efficient time management, 6) consideration of different teaching method depending on subjects, 7) coefficient of utilization with flexibility.
