주도적 성격과 지식 공유: LMXSC의 상반된 조절효과 검증 (Proactive Personality and Knowledge Sharing: The Contrasting Effects of Leader-Member Exchange Social Comparison (LMXSC))

  • This paper focuses on proactive personality as one of the main personality traits relevant to knowledge sharing and examines how this personal trait influences knowledge sharing behavior. Moreover, in order to consider the interactive effect between proactive personality and a contextual factor, this study utilized the construct of LMXSC which can reveal restoration of resource losses due to knowledge sharing. Because LMXSC can have opposite directions depending on used theories, this study investigates how LMXSC moderates the relationship between proactive personality and knowledge sharing behavior by using conservation of resources theory and trait activation theory. This study tests hypotheses with the data of supervisor-employee dyads in various industries. An empirical results showed that proactive personality increased knowledge sharing behavior and LMXSC strengthened the positive relationship between proactive personality and knowledge sharing behavior as conservation of resources theory predicts. Based on these theoretical arguments and empirical findings, this study suggests theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and the directions of future research.

소비자의 가치 인식과 합리적 행위에 기반한 가정에서의 물 절약 행동에 관한 연구 (Determinants of Household Water Conservation: The Role of Consumers' Water Value Perception and Reasoned Action)

  • Purpose: This study aims to identify effective ways to induce water resources conservation for general water consumers. Methods: In order to find the core factors to motivate water saving behavior for general consumers, this study utilized the theory of reasoned action which is well known as one of the most frequently used theory in consumer's green behavior analysis. Results: Among six hypothesized relationships in the research model four were proved to be statistically significant. The relationship between attitude toward water savings and the water saving behavior was found to be significant but only through the behavioral intention. Conclusion: Consumers with positive attitude on water conservation will practice water saving behavior with behavioral intention. However, consumers only with high knowledge on water conservation naturally and habitually practice water saving behavior without recognizing the intention to save the water. Thus, both positive attitude on the water conservation and subjective norm must be satisfied since the two factors tend to lead to actual green behavior using different psychological routes.

산지사면의 유출 및 토양침식에 대한 에너지 보존 (Energy Conservation for Runoff and Soil Erosion on the Hillslope)

  • The energy conservation theory is introduced for investigating processes of runoff and soil erosion on the hillslope system changed vegetation condition by wildfire The rainfall energy, input energy consisted of kinetic and potential energy, is influenced by vegetation coverage and height. Output energy at the outlet of hillslope is decided as the kinetic energy of runoff and erosion soil, and mechanical work according to moving water and soil is influenced dominantly by the work rather than the kinetic energy. Relationship between output and input energy is possible to calculate the energy loss in the runoff and erosion process. The absolute value of the energy loss is controlled by the input energy size of rainfall because energy losses of runoff increase as many rainfall pass through the hillslope system. The energy coefficient which is dimensionless is defined as the ratio of input energy of rainfall to output energy of runoff water and erosion soil such as runoff coefficient. The energy coefficient and runoff coefficient showed the highest correlation coefficient with the vegetation coverage. Maximum energy coefficient is about 0.5 in the hillslope system. The energy theory for output energy of runoff and soil erosion is presented by the energy coefficient theory associated with vegetation factor. Also runoff and erosion soil resulting output energy have the relation of power function and the rates of these increase with rainfall.

수량화이론 I방법에 의한 아까시나무 임분의 적지 환경인자 도출 (Derivation of Suitable-Site Environmental Factors in Robinia pseudoacacia Stands Using Type I Quantification Theory)

  • 본 연구는 밀원식물인 아까시나무의 적지적수 조림을 위해 임지생산력을 나타내는 지위지수를 도출하고, 지위지수에 어떠한 입지환경인자가 영향을 미치는 지를 수량화이론 I방법으로 구명하고자 수행되었다. 분석에 사용된 자료는 6차 국가산림자원조사와 1/5,000 산림입지토양도 상의 임령, 우세목 수고 및 각종 입지환경인자였다. 6차 국가산림자원조사에 의한 우리나라 아까시나무 임분의 지위지수는 평균 14였으며, 범위는 8에서 18 사이에 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 지위지수에 영향하는 입지환경인자는 모암, 기후대, 토양성질, 국소지형과 해발고였으며, 수량화이론 I방법을 적용한 추정모델의 적합도는 33%였다. 이 추정모델의 적합도는 낮으나 1% 수준에서 유의성이 인정되어 지위지수와 입지환경인자 간의 상호 연관성을 설명할 수 있었다. 지위지수와 입지환경인자 간의 수량화 분석 결과, 모암은 변성암, 화성암이, 기후대는 온대중부지역 이상에서, 토성은 식양토, 미사질양토가, 국소지형은 산복 지역에서 높은 점수를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 임지생산력(지위지수)에 영향하는 입지환경인자 각각의 편상관을 분석한 결과, 산림 내 토양의 성질과 해당 입지의 해발고에 대한 편상관계수가 0.4129, 0.4023으로 각각 나타나, 이들이 가장 영향력이 높은 인자임을 알 수 있었다.

게임이론과 한반도를 둘러싼 수산자원의 협력적 관리체계에 관한 연구 (Game Theory and a Study on Fishery Co-operation System in the Seas Surrounding Korea)

  • The main purpose of this study is to explain fishery relation in the seas surrounding Korea and how the Prisoner's Dilemma (PD), within game theory is applied to the region and suggest possible co-operative approaches in the region. The seas surrounding Korea are very productive fishing grounds with abundant fisheries resources because of the favourable marine environment, including its geographical features and physical oceanography. Nevertheless, Fishery relations among the coastal states in the region have been historically characterized by conflict rather than co-operation. Based on the PD game where there is always an incentive to do better by not co-operating, in order to ensure a share of the short-run benefits, fishing countries in the region have so far pursued the non-co-operative strategy of 'don't fish responsibly' rather than the co-operative strategy of 'fish responsibly'. Considering rapidly deteriorating situations in terms of fishery resources, regional co-operation among coastal states is urgently required to eliminate overfishing and increase fish stocks to sustainable levels. The West Sea/East China Sea and the East Sea, semi-enclosed seas, have unitary ecosystems, and many migratory fish species are shared between coastal states. Therefore, one countries' efforts alone cannot effectively manage and conserve the fishery resources and close co-operation among coastal states is required. The 1982 UN Convention and other international instruments emphasize the role of RFOs in managing and conserving capture fisheries and encourage states to establish Regional Fishery organizations (RFOs) or strengthen existing RFOs to facilitate conservation and management for fish stocks. Therefore, an international regime is worthy of serious consideration in that it provides fundamental advantages for the conservation of fish stocks for the fishery characteristic of the region.

협조적 게임이론을 이용한 국가 간 수산자원관리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Management of International Fishery Resources using Cooperative Game Theory)

  • This study demonstrates that cooperative management can provide more benefits than noncooperative management for Korea and Japan fishery. We have studied one management strategy, namely, fishing under joint maximization of net benefits in coastal waters of two countries, using a cooperative game theory. The present net return under non-cooperation amounts to 420,255 million won. However, if two countries cooperate one with another, this figure can get to 2,636,565 million won. We consider this to be an important conclusion as close management relationships have developed between the two countries since the establishment of the EEZ in 1996. The results of the study can also help balance resource conservation and the appropriate catch quota in each country.

Influence of COVID-19 Anxiety on Vigor and Innovative Work Behavior: Mediated Moderation of Flexible Work Arrangement

  • The present study examines the impact of COVID-19 anxiety on employees' psychological resources and behaviors, drawing on the conservation of resources theory. We also investigate whether flexibility in work contexts has a meaningful effect on employees' responses to the pandemic. A total of 284 working adults participated in an online survey consisting of self-reporting questionnaires that assessed levels of COVID-19 anxiety, vigor, innovative work behavior, and flexible working arrangements. The results showed that the level of vigor mediated the positive relationship between COVID-19 anxiety and innovative work behavior, and the perceived level of flexible working arrangements moderated this mediation effect positively. The findings highlight the importance of considering employees' psychological resources and work arrangements in managing the negative impact of COVID-19-related anxiety. This study provides theoretical and practical implications for organizations to better understand the psychological processes that employees undergo during a crisis. Further research on diverse work settings and cultural backgrounds is needed to expand on the present findings.

자기 비판적 완벽주의와 조직시민행동 간 관계: 성별의 조절효과 (The Relationship between Self-critical Perfectionism and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Investigating the Roles of Gender Effect)

  • 본 연구는 개인 수준에서 조직시민행동이 초래하는 딜레마적 상황을 보다 잘 이해하기 위해서, 조직시민행동에 영향을 미치는 개인적 특성인 자기 비판적 완벽주의 성격과 성별효과를 검증하고자 한다. 즉, 자원보존이론을 바탕으로자기 비판적 완벽주의 성격이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향에 대해 논의하고, 성별 차이가 이 관계를 어떻게 변화 시키는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 자원보존이론에서 주장하듯이, 자기 비판적 완벽주의 성격은 조직시민행동에 부정적인 영향을 줄 것으로 예측하였다. 또한 성별 관련 논의들에 근거하여 여성에 비해 남성일 경우 자기 비판적 완벽주의와 조직시민행동 간 부(-)의 관계가 강하게 나타날 것임을 가설로 제시하였다. 이러한 가설들을 검증하기 위하여 한국 기업들을 대상으로 상사-부하 설문을 실시하였고, 총 150쌍의 데이터를 사용하여 위계적 선형모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 자기 비판적 완벽주의 성격과 조직시민행동 간에 부(-)적인 영향이 있음을 확인 하였고, 이러한 부적 효과는 남성의 경우 더 강하게 나타남을 확인 하였다. 본 연구는 조직시민행동을 설명하는 개인적 특성과 성별효과를 살펴봄으로 인해, 조직시민행동 관련된 분야에 이론적·실무적 함의를 제공한다고 할 수 있다.

Exploring Supervisor-Related Job Resources as Mediators between Supervisor Conflict and Job Attitudes in Hospital Employees

  • Background: Conservation of resources theory assumes loss of resources as a cause of job strain. In hospital work, conflicts with supervisors are tested to predict lower resources, that is, supervisory social support, participation possibilities, and appreciation. All three resources are expected to predict, in turn, experienced stress (job strain) and lower job satisfaction, lower affective commitment, and a higher resigned attitude towards the job (job attitudes). Methods: The sample included 1,073 employees from 14 Swiss hospitals (n = 604 nurses, n = 81 physicians, n = 135 medical therapists, and n = 253 technical and administrative staff). Of the total sample, 83.1% were female and 38.9% worked full-time. The median tenure was between 7 years and 10 years. Constructs were assessed by online questionnaires. Structural equation modeling was used to test mediation. Results: Structural equation modeling confirmed the negative association of conflict with supervisors and job resources. Tests of indirect paths to resources as a link between conflicts with supervisors and job attitudes were significant. For nurses, social support, participation and appreciation showed a significant indirect path, while among medical technicians the indirect paths included social support and appreciation, and among physicians only appreciation showed a significant indirect path. In medical therapists no indirect path was significant. Job resources did not mediate the link between conflict with supervisors and stress in any occupational group. Conclusion: Conflicts with supervisors are likely to reduce job resources and in turn to lower job attitudes. Work design in hospitals should, therefore, address interpersonal working conditions and conflict management in leadership development.

VORTEX SHEAR VELOCITY AND ITS EROSION IN THE SCOUR HOLE

  • Scour hole is formed due to the high shear stress of the jet flow at the outlet of a hydraulic structure and vortex erosion occurs in the scour hole. It is important to determine the amount of vortex erosion occurs in the scour hole. It is important to determine the amount of vortex erosion for the design of bed protection. If the vortex erosion continues and reaches to the hydraulic structure, it causes the deformation of the structure itself. To obtain the amount of the vortex erosion, it is necessary to determine the shear velocity of the line vortex in the scour hole was derived by the theory of energy conservation and found to be related to the upstream overflow velocity. The amount of vortex erosion from the scour hole was obtained using entrainment equation for given value of shear velocity. For a design purpose, if the flow velocity at the end of an apron and the properties of bed material are given, the amount of vortex erosion was obtained.
