Details are given of a cold-formed steel portal framing system that uses simple bolted moment-connections for both the eaves and apex joints. However, such joints function as semi-rigid and, as a result, the design of the proposed system will be dominated by serviceability requirements. While serviceability is a mandatory design requirement, actual deflection limits for portal frames are not prescribed in many of the national standards. In this paper, a review of the design constraints that have an effect on deflection limits is discussed, and rational values appropriate for use with cold-formed steel portal frames are recommended. Adopting these deflection limits, it is shown through a design example how a cold-formed steel portal frame having semi-rigid eaves and apex joints can be a feasible alternative to rigid-jointed frames in appropriate circumstances.

CSR for bulk carrier has been required 25 years operation life in North Atlantic condition. As the fatigue life requirement of ship structure is increased it is necessary to study to satisfy the fatigue life which is much severe. Therefore from the fatigue analysis, especially fatigue strength for double bottom & lower stool connection area is not enough. To satisfy the fatigue life, it needs to increase double bottom strength or insert thicker plate. In this study, the consideration though structure modification have been doe with 81K bulk carrier and to find the solution of fatigue problem.

This Study has been conducted with many concerns about various teaching methods that attainable the substantial learning process of practical affair system in order to cope with the rapidly changing situation of the times and the educational environment in the field of design. Design Process Studying Method which utilizes 'Story Telling' as the process where the whole learning is achievable, in accordance with the educational target of the creative professional technician training that complies with the requirement of the times, and by progress of the integrated structure dividing as 1, 2, 3 stages, it doubles various studying effect, and it enables to expect the connection studying effect with other study-subject. Since the process of such program induces the positive participation of the student, it was known that a superior interchange of information is attainable, and due to its enthusiasm and interest on the study, the participating rate for study was appeared very highly.

In order to successfully develop a large complex system, it is important that the systems engineering processes take into account the program context and characteristics. Among these processes, the requirements management process requires a management plan based on the program plans and systems engineering management plan (SEMP) to the connection with the program management system and the policy directives. In this paper, a systems engineering based requirement management scheme and guidelines for writing requirements are proposed. is proposed.

KJCCS(Korean Joint Command & Control System) is a system that integrate each military tactics C4ISR into JCS(Joint Chiefs of Staff) level. It is established in major CP(Commanding Post) and provides all battlefield situation in real time by sharing that between connection troops. The objective of this study is to suggest a way for the measurement of force improvement effectiveness of KJCCS. C2 model is applied to measure force improvement effectiveness of KJCCS. This study will be also present a requirement logic for C4ISR system acquisition later.

In this paper, we show the movable boundary (MB) method is the effective bandwidth allocation strategy for the ABR service among existing bandwidth allocation methods. The MB method can gurantee the QOS requirement according to the service priority and improve bandwidth utilization using the characteristics of the ABR service. The threshold values of the MB, which have an important effect upon connection blocking probability(CBP) performance of each service, are obtained by simulation. The MB method with the fixed thresholds, however, may not have good performance to variation of input traffic parameters. We suggest the dynamic MB method which changes the threshold values adaptively according to the required bandwidth of input traffic. We also show that the dynamic MB method can urantee the CBP performance according to the service priority regardless of variation of input traffic parameters.

All passenger ships aboard more than 36 passengers are to be able to easily find escape routes when the escape way by fire with flame spread were onboard vessel (incl. Ferry, Passenger, Ro-pax, Inland Ferry) It should be impossible by ordinary emergency lights. The international Maritime Organization (IMO) gives special requirement for luminescent evaluation onboard test procedure and applicable location of low location lighting. In order to maintain the residual light source for a certain time in the low location lighting with a strip-shaped light source, the light source material must be sufficiently exposed to the light due to the proper placement of the escape route. The lighting arrangement influence how maintain low location lighting strip luminescent which measured onboard in connection with what elements are mainly sustain luminescent.

A wide class of networking application services, such as video teleconferencing, VOD, LAN bridging, and distributed data processing require multipoint communications. The essential component inteh network to achieve this is a multicast packet switch which is capable of packet replication and switching. In this paper, we propose an efficient mukticast addressing scheme using the smallest number of routing bits which is deterministic lower bound. The new scheme performs all point-to-multipoint connection in radix-2 tree ATM switch like banyan network. Also, we provide a simple radix-2 switch block diagram for achieving our algorithm. And we investigate several addressing schemes for implementing multicasting in radix-r tree ATM switch and evaluate several performance factors, such as complexity of the additional header bits, requirement of the internal speedup and complexity of the major hardware.

In this research, design scheme of fiber Bragg grating(FBG) sensor system for aircraft application is suggested from the results and the know-how from the fon11er researches on structural health monitoring techniques using fiber optic sensors. Design factors to be taken into consideration were derived for both sensor parts including connection and system parts. For the stability of FBG sensor system, design requirements of temperature, vibration, humidity, electromagnetic interference were presented from U. S. military standards. The direction of software programming which increases stability and perfon11ance of the aircraft with the FBG sensor system was also examined.

The proposes of this study were designed to practical use of credit cards on consumers in Kwang-ju. The 371 subjects formatted questionnaires were analyzed to frequency, percentage, crosstabulation and chi-square test by SPSS WIN 10.0. The main results of this study were as following : First, it is analyzed that most consumers have had more than credit cards. Second, it is tended that consumers have influenced to practical use of credit cards by sex, age, marriage, income and living expenses. Third, consumer is use to the spur of credit card, requirement about businessman, credit card connection system and distinction of sex, age, marriage, income, showed difference of relevant distribution between living expenses all. Based on the above, to make the use of credit cards practical and active, it needs more attention from consumers as well as it needs continuous efforts from the authorities concerned. Accordingly, to prevent consumers from overconsuming possibly by imprudent use of credit cards, it suggests systematic consumer training, from which consumers will learn responsible life as a consumer.
