SEA를 이용한 차량 진동 특성 해석 (Analysis of Vehicle Vibration Characteristics Using SEA)

  • Statistical Energy Analysis(SEA) has been considered as a Possible method for predicting responses of complex structures, especially at higher frequencies. In this paper, an SEA model of a vehicle was built using 138 energy storing subsystems connected together using 1019 Junctions. SEAM software program was used to build and calculate the model. To demonstrate the accuracy of the SEA model, predicted response levels were compared with measured levels. The source Input levels were measured at the engine mounting parts. There is good agreement between the estimated and the experimental results. This paper also identifies some dominant energy flow paths from sources. It is finally presented that the SEA model can optimize the design parameters of vehicles using model parameters and energy flow paths.

  • In the ubiquitous computing environment, a ubiquitous vehicle will be a communication node in the vehicular network as well as the means of ground transportation. It will make humans and vehicles seamlessly and remotely connected. Especially, one of the prominent services in the ubiquitous vehicle is the vehicle remote operation. However, mutual-collaboration with the in-vehicle communication network, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication network and the vehicle-to-roadside communication network is required to provide vehicle remote operation services. In this paper, an Internet-based human-vehicle interfaces and a network architecture is presented to provide remote vehicle control and diagnosis services. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated through a design and implementation in terms of the round trip time taken to get a vehicle remote operation service.

  • Human dummies are essential tools in the development of such sensible products as vehicles. Dummies are actively used not only in reach and view field tests, major ergonomic evaluations, but also in impact tests and perception evaluations. This study attempts to obtain possible correlations of human body segments from Korean anthropometric data. The investigation is focused on the description of human and dummy geometric and inertial properties. The modeling approach suggested is based on rigid body dynamics using fifteen individual body segments connected by joints.   • This paper discusses an experimental method for measuring the insertion loss (IL) performance of multi-layered insulations that are used in vehicles. Instead of two adjacent reverberation chambers which are generally used to measure the transmission loss (TL) of the large sound isolation materials, air-borne sound insulation tester was utilized to determine the IL and articulation index (AI) of standardized insulation materials. In comparison to reverberation chamber method, air-borne sound insulation tester method is more space-saving, more time-saving and more simple to the automotive acoustics. From the empirical results, it is found that the performances of insulation materials are closely connected with density of polyurethane foam, thickness of heavy layer, thickness of polyurethane foam, and application ratio to panel area.

  • 스마트폰은 이미 보편화되었고 가전기기나 자동차 등의 각종 생활기기에 통신장치 및 센서가 내장되어 스마트폰과 연동되는 스마트 기기들이 연구 개발되고 있다. 또한 현재는 스마트폰을 이용한 단순한 리모컨이나 원격 제어장치, 사용자 인터페이스의 수준이지만 향후에는 스마트폰에 지능화 기술이 융합되어, 사용자나 기기, 생활환경의 속성을 반영하여 자동으로 기기들이 개인 맞춤형으로 설정되는 개인 환경 서비스 기술이 활성화될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 관련 서비스와 시스템 구조, 요소 기술에 관해 기술한다.

BL-CAST:Beacon-Less Broadcast Protocol for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

  • With the extension of wireless technology, vehicular ad hoc networks provide important services for the dissemination of general data and emergency warnings. However, since, the vehicle topology frequently changes from a dense to a sparse network depending on the speed of the moving vehicles and the time of day, vehicular ad hoc networks require a protocol that can facilitate the efficient and reliable dissemination of emergency messages in a highly mobile environment under dense or intermittent vehicular connectivity. Therefore, this paper proposes a new vehicular broadcast protocol, called BL-CAST, that can operate effectively in both dense and sparse network scenarios. As a low overhead multi-hop broadcast protocol, BL-CAST does not rely on the periodic exchange of beacons for updating location information. Instead, the location information of a vehicle is included in a broadcast message to identify the last rebroadcasting vehicle in an intermittently connected network. Simulation results show that BL-CAST outperforms the DV-CAST protocol in terms of the end-to-end delay, message delivery ratio and network overhead.

Instead of two adjacent reverberation chambers which are generally used to measure the transmission loss (TL) of the large sound isolation materials, air-borne sound insulation tester was utilized to determine the IL and articulation index (AI) of standardized deadening materials. In comparison to reverberation chamber method, air-borne sound insulation tester method is more space-saving, more time-saving and more simple to the automotive acoustics. From the empirical results, it is verified that the performance of deadening materials is closely connected with thickness of panels, type of filling material that is filled into a double panel, and area ratio of double panel.

  • Maintenance and improvement of the graph connectivity is very important for decentralized multi-agent systems. Although the CBBA (Consensus-Based Bundle Algorithm) guarantees suboptimal performance and bounded convergence time, it is only valid for connected graphs. In this study, we apply a decentralized estimation procedure that allows each agent to track the algebraic connectivity of a time-varying graph. Based on this estimation, we design a decentralized gradient controller to maintain the graph connectivity while agents are traveling to perform assigned tasks. Simulation result for fully-actuated first-order agents that move in a 2-D plane are presented.

  • This paper presents the circuit arrangement and effective control method of regenerative energy storage system for an electric vehicle using super-capacitors as the braking energy storage element. A bi-directional controlled current flow of the DC-DC converters with the capacitor bank is connected in parallel with battery, and is controlled so that the whole of the braking energy is effectively absorbed into the capacitors and released back to the electric motor upon acceleration. The converter needs the series-parallel switching circuit for making the best use of the series capacitors and for limiting the step-up ratio of the boost converter. The proposed methods are verified by computer simulation and experimental set-up. They are usefully applied to the electric vehicles such as green cars, electric motorcycles, bike, etc which are power- supplied by the electric batteries.

  • The growth in IT industry has brought a corresponding rise in the number of connected digital devices in the distribution network. These digital loads lead to AC to DC conversion losses in order to supply power to them. The more the renewable energies and plug-in electrical vehicles penetrated our lives, the more the electrical losses are caused by AC to DC conversion process. Hence, this paper suggests the methodology for evaluating the amount of power supplied according to the ratio of DC power supply and performs an economic analysis of DC distribution system considering grid parity. In here, the cost of carbon emission reduced by renewable energy is also concerned.
