1차원 수치해석망은 수위관측소와 우량관측소를 경계로 광역모형을 구성하고 HEC-RAS를 이용하여 부정류 해석을 실시하였다. 그 결과로 얻은 유량과 수위자료는 2차원 해석 모형인 RMA-2의 경계조건으로 적용하였다. 또한 수치지형도를 이용하여 2차원 격자망을 구성하고 RMA-2를 적용하여 수리특성을 분석하였다. 광역모형의 구성에 의한 HEC-RAS 부정류 해석 결과 제방설치 전과 후의 수리특성의 변화는 그리 크게 나타나지 않았다. 또한 RMA-2 해석 결과 계획홍수량 초과하는 홍수에서 대상유역에서 제방설치 전과 후의 변화는 통수단면적의 감소에 따른 빠른 흐름과 수위의 변화를 가져왔으나 그 크기는 현저하지 않음을 보여준다.

The production of reactive oxygen species on addition of hexavalent chromium (potassium dichromate, $K_2Cr_2O_7$ ) to lung cells in culture was studied using flow cytometer analysis. A Coulter Epics Profile flow cytometer was used to detect the formation of reactive oxygen species after $K_2Cr_2O_7$ was added to A549 cells grown to confluence. The cells were loaded with the dye, 2',7'-dichlorofluorescein diacetate, after which cellular esterases removed the acetate groups and the dye was trapped intracellularly. Reactive oxygen species oxidized the dye, with resultant fluorescence. Increased doses of Cr(VI) caused increasing fluorescence (10-fold higher than background at 200 gM). Addition of Cr(III) compounds, as the picolinate or chloride, caused no increased fluorescence. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopic studies indicated that three (as yet unidentified) spectral "signals" of the free radical type were formed on addition of 20, 50, 100 and 200 gM Cr(VI) to the A549 cells in suspension. Two other EPR 'signals" with the characteristics of Cr(V) entities were seen at field values lower than the standard free radical value. radical value.

Cyberspace is created through the confluence of global electronic communications networks and technology, and also meant to be a three-dimensional space of information. Its application in arts, however, requires broader views and knowledge and often results a confounded definition of it. The study is to define cyberspace and the architecture in it, with the methodology of the structural criticism, focusing the textuality without any impression or intuition to reach its valid epistemic definition. Two architects in cyberspace; Novak and Lynn, and their works have been discussed and analyzed reflecting Benedikt's theory of cyberspace which has coined its definition in architecture in early 90's. Lacan's subject theory, including the mirror stage, has played a key role to evaluate the identities and the differences of various views towards cyberspace. It also enables us to construe the on-going status and meaning of cyberspace and the architecture In it.

In this Work, we have studied about an RSFQ 2$\times$2 crossbar switch. The circuit was designed, simulated, and laid out for mask fabrication The switch cell was composed of a splitter a confluence buffer, and a switch core. An RSFQ 2$\times$2 crossbar switch was composed of 4 switch cells, a switch control input to select the cross and bar, data input, and data outputs. When a pulse was input to the switch control input to select the cross or bar the route of the input data was determined, and the data was output at the proper output port. We simulated and optimized the switch-element circuit and 2$\times$2 crossbar switch, by using Xic and Julia. We also performed the mask layout of the circuit by using Xic and Lmeter.

Two dogs presented with vomiting and head pressing. In both dogs, a large vessel was revealed in computed tomography (CT) angiography, which was found to leave the portal vein (PV) cranial to the splenomesenteric confluence and enter the pre-hepatic caudal vena cava cranial to the right renal vein. The flow of portal blood to the liver was not identified. Based on CT angiography, the dogs were suspected to have congenital PV aplasia with portocaval shunting. Diagnostic imaging of potential malformations for PV continuation should be conducted before attempting shunt closure.

Afghanistan has experienced more than four decades of severe disruption, ever since the communist coup of April 1978 plunged the country into a state of disorder that was then severely aggravated by the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in December 1979. Despite the high hopes that accompanied the overthrow of the Taliban regime in 2001, Afghanistan's path in the first two decades of the 21st century has proved to be anything but smooth, and this article highlights a confluence of challenges - political, diplomatic, and societal - that Afghanistan presently faces, challenges that in large measure account for the profound uncertainty that clouds its future. The article is divided into four sections. The first provides some context for the discussion of these three challenges. The remaining sections investigate the particular challenges - intra-elite rivalries, a fragile and defective peace process, and the underreported but grave threat to life and limb in Afghanistan resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic - in more detail. Together, these challenges highlight the dangers of wishful thinking about harsh realities.

Development of de novo dural arteriovenous fistula (DAVF) at a different site after resolution of an initial DAVF, is rare. Here we report two cases, which we encountered in our hospital. A 68-year-old woman presented with pulsatile tinnitus on the left side. Cerebral angiography demonstrated a left anterior condylar confluence (ACC) DVAF and she underwent transvenous embolization. Four years after this treatment, she presented with tinnitus on the left side, and cerebral angiography revealed a right DAVF around the sinus of the lesser sphenoid wing. Another 69-year-old woman presented with left-sided orbital bruits, chemosis, and conjunctival hyperemia. Cerebral angiography showed left cavernous sinus (CS) DAVF, for which she underwent transvenous embolization for CS DAVF. One year later, she developed a left ACC and transverse-sigmoid sinus (TSS) DAVF.

The heat transfer processes taking place in the side wall of a thermocline enclosure have been analyzed for idealized conditions based on the assumption that, at any instant time, side wall heat transfer processses are independent of the thermocline bulk motion. However, the axial tempera-ture distribution in the thermocline core provides the means for specifying the liquid medium-side boundary condition to the enclosure side wall. A picture is drawn which reflects the side wan response to thermocline bulk motion within the frame work of a quasi-steady analytic approach. For valves of the parameters typical of systems of engineering interest, the analysis shows that a significant amount of heat transfer short - circuiting can take place along the side wall enclosure. This phenomenon is favored by high values of $H_l$ and low values of P and $H_g$ respec-tively. The location of the point of zero normal heat flux on the side wan can be expected to mark, approximately, the region of confluence of two sidewall boundary flows respectively driven by the buoyant effects.

Azygos vein injuries are rare consequences of blunt trauma. When there is high drainage output from a right-sided intercostal catheter, an azygos injury must be considered in the differential diagnosis. We report the case of a 38-year-old male patient involved in a fall from a height during a motorcycle accident. Computed tomography demonstrated a large right-sided hemothorax and left-sided pneumothorax. The patient was transferred to the operating theatre and underwent a clamshell thoracotomy. A laceration in the azygos vein at the confluence of the arch of the azygos and the right superior intercostal vein was identified. Bleeding was controlled at the trifurcation. The patient survived and was discharged home on postoperative day 15.

The 53-meter tall Albizzia Tower is a white, mineral building with a mixed concrete and wood structure. It harmoniously interacts with the high rises of La Confluence. Its base is largely open, in direct relation to the public space. The spaces are mutable, reversible, moldable thanks to a streamlined structure: posts, beams in glued laminated wood, with posts pushed back on the facade to facilitate the layout of office and housing floors, CLT floors with a span of 7 meters.
