SSAM을 이용한 신호교차로 안전성 평가(감응식 교통제어 도입사례를 중심으로) (Safety Assessment of Signalized Intersection Using SSAM : A Case of Actuated Signal Control)

  • 미국 FHWA에서 개발한 Surrogate Safety Assessment Model(SSAM)은 상충이론을 기반으로 미시교통시뮬레이션모형(microscopic traffic simulation models)에서 생산된 개별 차량 경로 데이터를 이용하여 상충(conflict)의 발생을 분석하는 소프트웨어이다. 본 연구에서는 SSAM을 이용해 교통신호 제어 유형별 안전도를 비교하였다. 이를 위해 현장 조사를 기반으로 미시교통시뮬레이션모형을 구축한 후, 신호 제어 유형 별로 세 가지 신호운영 시나리오에 대하여 TTC, PET, DR, MaxS, DeltaS 등의 대리척도(surrogate measures)를 산출한 후, 직각충돌형(Crossing), 추돌형(Rear-end), 그리고 차로변경형(Lane Change) 상충 횟수를 추정하였다. 분석 결과 감응식 신호운영이 정주기식 신호운영보다 상충횟수가 많았으며, 그 중 추돌형 상충횟수가 다른 상충 유형에 비해 많은 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 SSAM 활용을 통해 교차로 및 다양한 교통 대안에 대한 안전도 평가가 신속하고 안전하게 수행될 수 있어 SSAM이 도로교통의 안전성 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

교통상충기법을 이용한 고속도로 하이패스차로 안전성 개선에 관한 연구 (서울외곽순환고속도로 본선영업소를 중심으로) (Safety Improvement of Installation of "Hi-pass" System at Expressway Toll Gate)

  • 본 연구는 고속도로 영업소 진출부의 차량속도와 상충발생을 조사하여 상대속도 및 상충으로 인한 차량 감속시간 등을 분석한 결과 상대속도가 클수록 상충으로 인한 차량 급감속이 발생한다는 문제점을 파악하였으며 특히 운영형태가 상이한 지점들을 비교 분석하여 차로 운영 형태에 따라 상충 및 상대속도가 다름을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 관찰을 통하여 하이패스 차량과 일반차량간 상대속도에 의한 사고 위험성을 정량적으로 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 하이패스 차량과 일반차량간 합류가 하이패스차량간 합류보다 사고위험이 더 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 차량간 상대속도차가 클수록 상충시 급감속 및 감속시간이 큼에 따라 사고 위험이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 합류 시점부가 영업소 진출 후 가까울수록 상대속도가 큼에 따라 상충시 TA분석값이 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 영업소 진출부에서 발생하는 상대속도차에 의한 상충을 분석하였으며 이를 통해 급감속 및 사고발생을 줄일 수 있는 대안을 제시 영업소 내 하이패스 차로 설치시 안전성을 높여줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 연구는 신호교차로에서의 교통사고 감소방안에 대한 연구로써 이를 위하여 좌회전 현시 순서를 중심으로 연구를 진행하였다. 현재 우리나라는 1985년부터 기존에 사용하던 후행 이중 좌회전 방식을 직진 이동류의 통과효율 및 교차로의 용량을 높이고 소통을 증진시키기 위한 목적으로 선행 이중좌회전 방식으로 바꾸어 사용하고 있다. 이는 그 당시에 도로교차로가 비교적 협소하여 전용좌회전 차로가 거의 없었기 때문으로 선행 이중좌회전 방식을 적용해온 현시점에서 어느 방식이 교통안전과 소통에 더 적합한지를 분석할 필요가 있다고 생각된다. 본 연구에서는 먼저, 선행 좌회전과 후행 좌회전의 안전성을 분석하기 위하여 교차로를 '교차로 내', '횡단보도', '접근부와 유출부'로 나누었다. 이렇게 구분되어진 교차로를 '유효페이스 간격(EIP)'과 '상충기법'을 적용하여 안전성을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 후행 좌회전이 선행 좌회전 보다 전체적인 안전성이 좋은 것으로 나타났으며, 연간 418억원의 사고비용을 절감할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

자동차교통사고 분쟁의 조정과 중재에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mediation and Arbitration of Traffic Accident Disputes)

  • ADR has recently been expanded, making it possible to solve traffic accident disputes, which is a matter of urgency for parties to avoid. This point serves as an important procedural element. Such disputes are an area that requires a quick resolution. To try to solve any dispute that occurs in the complex environment of modern times one-by-one through litigation does not make sense. It gives an undue burden on the judicial body and the investigation agency. Like litigation, today's arbitration system, should have effective conflict resolution. The arbitration of automobile traffic accident disputes can be seen as roughly adjusted through the insurance company, the Dispute Coordinating Committee, and the Crime Victims Protection Act. It consists of experts mainly, and the resolution of automobile traffic accident disputes can be resolved through the Sajonsa and workers insurance company. However, adjustments to failure incident mostly need attention. Most of a company's compensation insurance indemnity needs to be processed in practice. In addition, a vicious cycle of litigation and delay period is repeated if a lawyer is appointed. There are unreasonable adjustment systems in the midst of these. Avoiding traffic accidents allows parties to resolve disputes better. Arbitration of disputes in automobile traffic accidents handled by arbitration institutions is desirable. It is determined that the handling of a case by a village attorney is efficient.

역내 열차 경합 검지 및 해소를 위한 수리 모형 및 해법 (An Algorithm for detection and Resolution of Train Conflicts Occurring Within Station)

  • In large station with high density traffic, trains can be hardly controlled by CTC but by station dispatcher because CTC has difficulties in monitoring all states of affairs happening within each station such as departures, arrivals of many trains from different lines and shunting of trains to move between yards and platforms, etc. Therefore the station's dispatcher has to make quick decision about how to reschedule the times and routes for all the trains scheduled within a specific time window. And such decision becomes harder when an unexpected delay occurs because a delay occurring in a train propagates other trains as time goes on. Generally, it is called the conflict detection and resolution to adjust beforehand the distorted schedule due to a delay to original schedule. Our research is different from the state of the arts in that ours determines simultaneously the routes and the times of arrival and departure of trains, although others do only the arrival and departure time of the trains without considering the alternative routes and shunting of the station. This study suggests a mathematical approach for how to detect in advance and resolve efficiently the conflicts occurring within a station and it will be shown how to reduce delay using our approach by means of analysing the schedule of ChyungRyangRi station.

상충지역에서 고령 보행자를 위한 안전메시지 전송기술 : 배경 및 기술 개념 (Safety Message Transmission Technology for the Elderly Pedestrians at the Conflict Area: Background and Technology Concept)

  • 고령화의 증가에 따라 고령자의 교통사고가 사회적으로 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 고령자의 교통사고 현황을 분석하고, 분석된 자료를 기반으로 하여 보행 고령자를 위한 안전메시지 전송기술에 대해 소개한다. 제안하는 안전메시지 전송기술은 정보통신기술을 차량과 고령자에 접목한 차량-보행자간 통신기술에 기반을 두고 있다. 제안하는 전송기술의 개념의 동작원리에 대해 소개하고 제안하는 시스템을 구현하기 위해 필요한 사항들에 대해 논의한다.

A Development of 3-D Resolution Algorithm for Aircraft Collision Avoidance

  • Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) is designed to enhance safety in aircraft operations, by reducing the incidences of mid-air collision between aircraft. The current version of TCAS provides only vertical resolution advisory to the pilots, if an aircraft's collision with another is predicted to be imminent, while efforts to include horizontal resolution advisory have been made, as well. This paper introduces a collision resolution algorithm, which includes both vertical and horizontal avoidance maneuvers of aircraft. Also, the paper compares between the performance of the proposed algorithm and that of algorithms with only vertical or horizontal avoidance maneuver of aircraft.

걷고싶은 도시조성을 위한 보행 특성 연구 (A Study on the Walking Transportation Characteristics)

  • One of the elements requiring the attention of the traffic engineer is the pedestrian. Particularly in urban and CBD locations ,the pedestrian presents an element of sharp conflict with vehicular traffic. Therefore pedestrian movements must be studied for the purpose of providing guideline for the design and operation of transportation systems. This paper addressed the characteristics of walking transportation in a big city. Especially the focuses are emphasized on the ratio occupied by pedestrian traffic among the whole unlinked trips in a city and walking time. The data for analysis are gathered in Seoul metropolitan city sampling 1,006 citizens. Compared with other similar research works this paper utilized diversified tools to acquire more useful results.

초등학교학생의 교통사고 발생특성 및 요인 (Characteristics of Traffic Accident for the Primary School Students and Its Affecting Factors)

  • For the purpose to analysis the characteristics of traffic accidents(TA) and investigate the relationship between traffic accidents and children attention problem rating scale(CAP) and, family environment scale(FES), this questionnaire survey was conducted to the 16 primary school students in Taejon from July 14 to August 26, 1997. The number of study subjects who had an experience of traffic accidents from July 1, 1996 to June 30, 1997 were 195, and the number of control sujects were 512. The main results were as follows; 1. The traffic accident rates was 0.9% as a whole, but those were 1.4% in boys, 0.7% in girls, 1.3% in low (1st-3rd) grade, and 0.8% in high (4th-6th) grade. 2. The rates of traffic accidents were high in spring, friday, afternoon and a drive-way around home. TA occurred during walking with friends most frequently. 3. In CAP the score of inattention was lower in TA group than control group, and hyperactivity was higher in TA group but they didn't showed significantly different. In FES, cohesion score was higher in TA group than control group, but Conflict score and Expressiveness score were in control group, but they didn't showed significantly different. 4. In CAP the odds ratio of inattention score for TA group was 0.84, but that of hyperactivity score was 1.15. In FES, the odds ratio of cohesion score was 1.06, but that of expression score and conflict score was 0.94 and 0.96, respectively. In conclusion, the relationships between TA and CAP, TA and FES in this study were not clear to explain personal characteristics and environmental conditions.
