  • CCMP(centralized conferencing manipulation protocol)는 컨퍼런스 시스템에서 참가자의 추가 및 제거, 역할의 변동, 미디어스트림의 추가 및 삭제 등을 가능하게 한다.

  • In most ascomycetes, a single mating type locus, MAT, with two alternate forms (MAT1-1 and MAT1-2) called idiomorphs, controls mating ability. In heterothallic ascomycetes these alternate idiomorphs reside in different nuclei. In contrast, most homothallic ascomycetes carry both MAT1-1 and MAT1-2 in a single nucleus, usually closely linked. An example of the latter is Gibberella zeae, a producer of mycotoxins such as trichothecene and zearalenone that threaten human and animal health. We asked if G. zeae could be made strictly heterothallic by manipulation of MAT. Targeted gene replacement was used to differentially delete MAT1-1 or MAT1-2 from a wild type haploid MAT1-1 MAT1-2 strain, resulting in MAT1-1;mat1-2, mat1-1;MAT1-2 strains that were self-sterile, yet able to cross to wild type testers and more importantly, to each other. These results indicated that differential deletion of MAT idiomorphs eliminates selfing ability of G. zeae, but the ability to outcross is retained. To our knowledge, this is the first report of complete conversion of fungal reproductive strategy from homothallic to heterothallic by targeted manipulation of MAT. Practically, this approach opens the door to simple and efficient procedures for obtaining sexual recombinants of G. zeae that will be useful for genetic analyses of mycotoxin production and other traits, such as ability to cause disease.

  • As an alternative way to get sophisticated nanostructures, atomic force microscopy (AFM) has been used to directly manipulate building primitives. In particular, assembly of metallic nanoparticles(NPs) can provide various structures for making various metamolecules. As far, conventionally made polygonal shaped metallic NPs showed non-uniform distribution in size and shape which limit its study of fundamental properties and practical applications. In here, we optimized conditions for deterministic manipulation of ultra-smooth and super-spherical gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) by AFM. [1] Lowered adhesion force by using platinum-iridium coated AFM tips enabled us to push super-spherical AuNPs in linear motion to pre-programmed position. As a result, uniform and reliable electric/magnetic behaviors of assembled metamolecules were achieved which showed a good agreement with simulation data. Furthermore, visualization of near field for super-spherical AuNPs was also addressed using photosensitive azo-dye polymers. Since the photosensitive azo-dye polymers can directly record the intensity of electric field, optical near field can be mapped without complicated instrumental setup. [2] By controlling embedding depth of AuNPs, we studied electric field of AuNPs in different configuration.

  • This paper presents the design of a multiple beam optical tweezers instrument used for manipulating micro/nano-sized components. The basic equations used in designing the optical tweezers are derived and the stable and time-sharing multiple beam optical tweezers are constructed with scanning mirrors. The laser beam passes through a series of optical components such as lenses, mirrors, and scanning mirrors, and overfills the entrance aperture of microscope objective, which gives a stable trap. By rotating the laser beam with the scanning mirror, the focal positions are translated in the specimen plane and multiple micro/nano-sized objects can be moved. The constructed optical tweezers is used to manipulate cells and liposomes simultaneously and to trap multiple nano-wires. The experiments prove that the developed optical tweezers can be a very versatile manipulation tool for studying gene therapy and nano device fabrication.

  • The high prices of satellite images prevent researchers from studying remote sensing and most non-professional people doesn't have the simple and easy solutions for the manipulation of satellite images. "Integrated Management of Satellite Imagery Information" project which will be promoted by ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) will provide the solutions for the above mentioned problems. We will introduce the archiving center in this study. This includes the data construction, storage, management and distribution. We first review the background for this archiving center and introduce the interior and foreign institutes which archive and distribute satellite images. We review our H/W system and S/W system briefly. Finally, the further service of our project will be suggested. Since we will distribute the satellite images (Landsat, SPOT, JERS, Corona, Kompast-1) and will receive Landsat7 ETM+ in 2003 you, this will help the professional work dealing with the satellite image and attract the non-professional people for simple and easy manipulation solutions of satellite image.

  • Due to the serious issues posed by facial manipulation technologies, many researchers are becoming increasingly interested in the identification of face forgeries. The majority of existing face forgery detection methods leverage powerful data adaptation ability of neural network to derive distinguishing traits. These deep learning-based detection methods frequently treat the detection of fake faces as a binary classification problem and employ softmax loss to track CNN network training. However, acquired traits observed by softmax loss are insufficient for discriminating. To get over these limitations, in this study, we introduce a novel discriminative feature learning based on Vision Transformer architecture. Additionally, a separation-center loss is created to simply compress intra-class variation of original faces while enhancing inter-class differences in the embedding space.

  • The inverse kinematics problem in robotics is an essential work for grasping and manipulation tasks by robotic and humanoid hands. In this paper, an intelligent neural learning scheme for solving such inverse kinematics of humanoid fingers is presented. Specifically, a multi-layered neural network is utilized for effective inverse kinematics, where a dynamic neural learning algorithm is employed. Also, a bio-mimetic feature of general human fingers is incorporated to the learning scheme. The usefulness of the proposed approach is verified by simulations.

  • In this paper, we described a design of the input buffer system for efficiently dealing with MPEG audio bitstream to demux header and side information, audio data. In order to overcome the limitations of fixed-word manipulation in bitstream demuxing, we proposed a new variable length bit retrieval system with FSM sequencer supporting MPEG audio frame format, and serial buffer demuxing audio stream, FIFO circular buffer including header and side information.
