  • PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)는 GUI(Graphical User Interface) 환경이 필수적이다. 최근 기존의 개인정보 관리기능 외에 휴대단말기를 내장한 인터넷 기능, 멀티미디어 기능, 게임 등이 가능한 고성능의 PDA가 일반화됨에 따라, 기존의 단일 task 환경 대신 뛰어난 GUI와 멀티미디어 환경을 지원하는 내장형 운영 체제가 사용될 전망이다. 본 논문에서는 Linux의 GTK+/GDK(GNU Image Manipulation Program Toolkit) 툴킷을 이용하여 Framebuffer를 직접적으로 사용할 수 있게 하고, 불필요한 내부 함수를 제거함으로써 X-윈도우시스템으로 인한 오버헤드 및 저장공진을 줄일 수 있는 내장형 운영체제를 설계 및 구현한다.

  • 매니퓰레이션 기술 중에서 경로 계획은 중요한 문제 중의 하나이다. RRT는 경로 계획 알고리즘으로 최근에 제안되었다. RRT는 기존 알고리즘보다 빠르게 장애물을 회피하여 경로를 계획할 수 있다. 기존의 경로 계획 알고리즘은 그 상황에 따라 반복적으로 경로 계획을 하였다. 이러한 점을 개선하기위해 RRT와 인간의 소뇌구조를 모방한 CMAC을 결합한 CMACRRT를 제안한다. CMAC은 RRT가 만들어낸 경로와 그 상황을 기억하여 유사한 상황에서 경로를 다시 사용할 수 있게 해준다. 이렇게해서서 CMAC을 통해 학습된 상황에서 RRT를 사용하지 않고 기존의 경로를 사용할 수 있게 된다.

  • In order to detect and suppress chatter in turning processes a stability control methodology was studied through manipulation of spindle speeds regarding to chatter frequencies. The chatter frequency was identified by monitoring and signal processing of sound pressure during turning on a lathe. The stability control methodology can select stable spindle speeds without knowing a prior knowledge of machine compliances and cutting dynamics. Teliability of the developed stability control methodology was verified through turning experiments on an engine lathe. Experimental results show that a microphone is an excellent sensor for chatter detection and control

  • Bacillus thuringiensis produces insecticidal parasporal inclusions (crystal protein) used as a major ingredient of most microbial insecticides. Although many B. thuringiensis strains and their crystal proteins have been isolated and characterized, such findings have limitation of usefulness. For enhanced toxicity, fast effects, and the delay of resistance development, research on genetic manipulation of crystal genes and proteins by genetic engineering should be continued. (omitted)

  • If one can easily modify the existing motion data to a new motion in making an animation movie, he can save a lot of time for graphic design. To implement this kind of system, we propose a PC-based system composed of low cost commercial animation tool (3D Studio Max) for visualization of the animation and motion editing module that handles optimization process during the motion transform.   • This study presents a new intelligent yield management methodology which can forecast the yield level of a production unit based on features' behaviors. In this proposed methodology, we identify the existing features using C5.0 that are combination of nodes (i.e., variables) in the decision tree generated by C5.0, use SOM(Self-Organizing Map) neural networks in oder to extract the feature's patterns and classify, and then make features' control rules using C5.0.
