Members of the NZOHS attended the Korean Society of Occupational Health Conference held in Korea last February of 2023, and have continued to attend before that. In response to their invitation, I share the story of attending the NZOHS Conference held once every two years as part of international exchange, one of the goals of the current 17th executive team.

컴퓨터 네트워크를 이용한 회의에 있어서 공유키 합의 프로토콜은 보안이 필요한 회의에 필수적이다. 그 중에서도 결함 허용 회의 키 합의 프로토콜은 가짜 참여자가 키 생성을 방해한다고 하더라도 정당한 참여자만이 회의키를 공유할 수 있게 만들어주는 방법이다. 그러나 기존의 방법은 가짜 참여자의 수가 많을 경우 효율적으로 동작하지 못한다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 결함 허용 회의키 합의 방법에 아이디 기반의 삼자 간 키 합의 프로토콜을 적용하여 기존의 방법들에 비하여 낮은 키 합의 비용으로 동작하는 결함 허용 회의 키 합의 방법을 제안한다. 실험결과는 효율적이라고 알려진 Yi의 방법보다 제안 방법이 효율적이며, 특히 공격자가 많은 경우엔 더욱 효율적으로 동작하는 것을 보여준다.

편리하고 효율적인 스마트워크 환경을 구축하기 위해서는 여러 사용자들이 서로 떨어진 장소에서도 동시에 업무를 진행할 수 있는 영상 회의 시스템이 필요하다. 기존의 S/W기반의 영상회의 시스템은 제공사의 자체 기술과 서로 다른 구현방식으로 개발되고, 사용자 환경의 OS별로 별도의 프로그램형태로 개발되어 사용자에게 제공된다. 반면에 HTML5 기반의 WebRTC를 활용한 영상회의 시스템은 HTML5와 WebRTC 표준을 지원하는 브라우저에서 별도의 프로그램 설치 없이 영상회의를 제공한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 HTML5기반 영상회의 국내 시장 활성화를 위하여, 서로 다른 HTML5기반 영상회의 시스템 간에 상호 연동성을 확보하기 위하여 각 시스템에서 지원되어야 하는 연동 기능에 대한 표준을 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 컨퍼런스 서버의 과부하를 방지하기위한 새로운 부하 제어 방식을 사용한 분산형 컨퍼런스 구조를 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 새로운 이벤트 패키지는 컨퍼런스 부하 제어를 가능하게하고 새로운 컨퍼런스 정보 데이터 포맷은 컨퍼런스 서버들과 컨퍼런스 참가자들 사이의 SIP 메시지 교환 절차 및 부하 분산을 처리하는 데 필요한 요소들이 추가되었다. 또 전체 컨퍼런스 참가자들에게 주기적으로 전송해야 할 컨퍼런스 정보 데이터의 처리도 모든 서버들이 분담하도록 하여 부하를 더욱줄이도록 하였다. 제안한 부하제어 이벤트 패키지는 각 컨퍼런스 서버들이전체 컨퍼런스서버들의현재부하 상태를 실시간으로파악할수 있도록 하며특정서버의부하가커지면 해당 서버는 전체 컨퍼런스 서버 중 가장 부하가 적은 서버를 선택하여 SIP 클라이언트 요청을 분산시키거나 새로운 컨퍼런스 서버를 생성하여 부하를 분산하도록 한다. 제안된 시스템의 성능은 실험을 통하여 분석하였고 평균 지연시간에서 21.6%, 평균 SIP 메시지 처리 시간에서 29.2% 향상됨을 보여주고 있다.

With the advent of the digital age, production and distribution of web pages has been exploding. Internet users frequently need to extract specific information they want from these vast web pages. However, it takes lots of time and effort for users to find a specific information in many web pages. While search engines that are commonly used provide users with web pages containing the information they are looking for on the Internet, additional time and efforts are required to find the specific information among extensive search results. Therefore, it is necessary to develop algorithms that can automatically extract specific information in web pages. Every year, thousands of international conference are held all over the world. Each international conference has a website and provides general information for the conference such as the date of the event, the venue, greeting, the abstract submission deadline for a paper, the date of the registration, etc. It is not easy for researchers to catch the abstract submission deadline quickly because it is displayed in various formats from conference to conference and frequently updated. This study focuses on the issue of extracting abstract submission deadlines from International conference websites. In this study, we use three machine learning models such as SVM, decision trees, and artificial neural network to develop algorithms to extract an abstract submission deadline in an international conference website. Performances of the suggested algorithms are evaluated using 2,200 conference websites.

PIUG란 Patent Information User Group의 약자로서 특허정보에 전문적ㆍ기술적 관심을 가진 개인들이 모여서 결성한 비영리단체이다. 이들은 특허정보 관련 정보교환 및 인적 네트워크 형성을 목적으로 매년 미국에서 Conference를 개최하고 있으며, 올해의 PIUG Conference는 "The Future of Patent Information - Tools and Techniques for Adding Value"라는 주제하에 미국 버지니아주의 Arlington이라는 도시에서 5월 21일부터 26일까지 7일간 개최되었다.

지난 1 월 14일과 15일 양일간 인도 델리에서 Asia ESCO Conference 2010이 열렸다. 국내에서는 2개 기관과 7개 기업에서 13명이 참가했다. 그 중 에너지관리공단과 ESCO 협회, 지멘스, 에너지솔루션즈에서 Asia ESCO Conference 참관기를 보내왔다. 어떤 이야기가 담겨있는지 하나하나 살펴보자.

The paper describes the implementation of the video conferencing system using public key infrastructure which is used for user authentication and media stream encryption. Using public key infrastructure, we are able to reinforce the authentication for conference participant and block several malicious hacking while protecting conference control information. The paper shows the implementation of the transportation layer secure protocol in conformity with Korea public key authentication algorithm standard and symmetric key encryption algorithm (RC2, SEED, DES and 3DES) for media stream encryption. The feature of the paper is transportation layer secure protocol that is implemented for protection of information on a user authentication and video conference and the media streaming encryption algorithm also can be envisioned with another block encryption algorithm. The key for media streaming encryption may be safely distributed by the transportation layer secure protocol.

In this paper, a design of the reliable video-conference system using CTI(Computer Telephony Integration) technology is proposed. When video-conference is run on the current existing Internet, the transmission delay problem for voice data traffic can be frequently occurred. In order to transmit the real-time voice data through the Internet efficiently, some complicated algorithms such as CODEC(Code/Decode) should be applied. It can cause further excessive processing delay which can affect the overall performance. The voice traffic is usually transmitted through the reliable PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) in the CTI system. In this paper a new architecture, in which PSTN for voice traffic and Internet for video traffic are used at the same time instead of using Internet by itself, is proposed to relieve the problems on a video conference.
