  • In this paper, the TE (Transverse Electric) scattering problems by a perfectly conducting strip grating over a grounded two dielectric layers with edge boundary condition are analyzed by applying the FGMM (Fourier Galerkin Moment Method). For the TE scattering problem, the induced surface current density is expected to the zero value at both edges of the strip, then the induced surface current density on the strip is expanded in a series of the multiplication of the Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind and the functions of appropriate edge boundary condition. The numerical results shown the fast convergent solution and good agreement compared to those of the existing papers.

  • A rigorous analysis of the scattering problem by the perfectly conducting strip loaded with a dielectric cylinder of different permittivity is presented. By introducing auxiliary electromagnetic fields and applying the reciprocity theorem, integral equations for the unknown electric field are derived. These integral equations are transformed into an equivalent matrix equation of infinite order with proper boundary conditions. By calculating inverse matrix of unknown coefficients from this equation, scattered electric fields are determined. In particular case of the dielectric with the same permittivity, the results of this paper correspond to well-known results.

  • In this paper, E-polarized electromagnetic scattering by a conducting strip grating with 2 dielectric layers is analyzed to calculate the geometrical reflected and transmitted power by applying the Fourier-Galerkin moment mothed. The induced current density is expanded in a Fourier series using a simple exponential func- tion, and we applied the boundary conditions to the electromagnetic fields at the boundary planes. The sca- ttered electromagnetic fields are expanded in a series of Floquet mode functions. To examine the accuracy of the present method, the geometrically reflected and transmitted power are evaluated and compared with those of the existing papers, and then the numerical results are found in good agreement with those of the existing paper.

  • In this paper, The TE (Transverse Electric) scattering problems by a perfectly conducting strip grating over a grounded two dielectric layers are analyzed by applying the conductive boundary condition and the FGMM (Fourier-Galerkin Moment Method) known as a numerical procedure, then the induced surface current density is expanded in a series of the multiplication of the unknown coefficient and the exponential function as a simple function. Generally, the reflected power gets increased according as the relative permittivity ${\epsilon}_{r2}$ and the thickness of dielectric layer $t_2$ of the region-2 in the presented structure gets increased, respectively. The sharp variations of the reflected power are due to resonance effects were previously called wood's anomaly, the numerical results show in good agreement with those of the existing papers.

  • In this paper, the TM (Transverse Magnetic) scattering problems by a perfectly conducting strip grating over a grounded two dielectric layers with edge boundary condition are analyzed by applying the FGMM (Fourier Galerkin Moment Method). For the TM scattering problem, the induced surface current density is expected to the very high value at both edges of the strip, then the induced surface current density on the conductive strip is expanded in a series of the multiplication of the Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind and the functions of appropriate edge boundary condition. Generally, when the value of the relative permittivity of dielectric layers over the ground plane increased, the strip width according to the sharp variation points of the reflected power is shifted to a higher value. The numerical results shown the fast convergent solution and good agreement compared to those of the existing papers.

  • In this paper, Electromagnetic scattering problem by a resistive strip grating with 2 dielectric layers on a ground plane according as resistivity of resistive strip, relative permittivity and thickness of dielectric layers, and incident angles of a electric wave is analyzed by applying the PMM (Point Matching Method) known as a numerical procedure. The scattered electromagnetic fields are expanded in a series of floquet mode functions. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients and the resistive boundary condition is used for the relationship between the tangential electric field and the electric current density on the strip. According as the relative permittivity and the thickness of layers are increased, the values of the geometrically normalized reflected power have a high value and the values of strip width are moved toward a high value going from left to right. When the resistivity of this paper has a value of zero, the numerical results of the geometrically normalized reflected power show in good agreement with those by the PMM of existing paper. Then, the most energys of the sharp variation point in minimum values of the geometrically normalized reflected power are scattered in direction of the other angles except incident angle.

  • Laboratory model tests to determine the permanent settlement of a surface strip foundati on supported by geogrid -reinforced saturated clay and subjected to a low -frequency cyclic load were performed. In conducting the test, the foundation was initially subjected to an allowable static load. The cyclic load was then super -imposed over the static load. The variation of the maximum permanent settlement with the intensity of the static load and the intensity of the amplitude of the cyclic load are also presented.

  • Colloidal gold with a conducting polymer (e.g., polyaniline) bound on the metal surfaces has been used for the generation of conductimetric signal in a membrane strip immunosensor. Since polyaniline itself at a low pH range revealed a low conductivity, an approach of doping the polymer with a lithium salt was used. As an alternative method, a self-doped (i.e., pH-independent) sustance such as leucoemeraldine base sulfonated polyaniline (LEB-SPAN) can be used as signal generator. It was also highly soluble in water and, thus, such a selected polymer was expected to support a satisfactory property as a label of the immunosensor.

  • In this paper, a dual-frequency printed slot antenna loaded with an open-ring conducting strip and capacitively fed by a coplanar waveguide(CPW) is designed. The designed antenna has a bandwidth of 240㎒(1690㎒-1930㎒) at PCS frequency band and of 160㎒(2380㎒-2540㎒) at WLAN frequency band. In both frequency ranges, pattern and gain requirements are satisfied. The commercial software, IE3D, was used to design slot antenna. The predicted characteristics along with measured data are presented for verification purpose.
