Design Problems are often both multidimensional and highly interactive. Very rarely does any part of a designed thing serve only one purpose. The activity of designing is thus a goal-directed activity and normally a goal-directed problem-solving activity. This means, problem solving is finding a way to get from some initial situation to a desired goal. Designers are transforming agents within a society whose goals are to improve the human condition through physical metamorphosis. Many theorist have agreed that designing involves problem solving or decision making. Accordingly evaluation plays an essential role in design activity. The evaluation factors include all attributes that have levels specified by quantitative and qualitative objectives Alternatives in multi-objective decision prOblems generally possess numerous attributes by which they can be described and compared. The evaluation factors include all attributes that have levels specified by quantitative and qualitative objectives. However since qualitative factors are difficult to quantify as numeral estimates, these factors have tended to be ignored without regard for their importance to human content. We adapted the Accumulative Evaluation Model as an evaluation algorithm for IDES. Industrial Design Evaluation System (IDES) consists of 3 major modules ( 1 Design Element, 2.Matrix, 3.Evaluation). It is intended to be an aid for design evaluation. The luther thinks IDES is a new design evaluation approach which could provide effective rating of design values to make value judgements. It is an attempt to provide industrial designers with access to design evaluation. The author's aim is to produce an Object-Oriented Evaluation System which can guide the designers and decision makers under complex design projects. It uses\ulcorner an Object-Oriented Programming for this prototype, Because of managing complexity (Flexibility and Reusability) and improving productivity(Extensibility & Maintainability and Programming by User) in software development process. The author has chose the C++ because it is a hybrid, rather than pure Object-Oriented Language.
This study was to investigate consumer recognition of food safety and food additives. The results of this study are as follows: 1. When shopping for food, the food safety was rated as foremost concern for the respondents and the details checked most often were manufacture date, packing condition and axpiration date, respectively. When asked their opinion about harmful factors in relation to food safety, the most important consideration was food additives. The highest rating for credibility regarding the sources of information on food was given to scientists in university and institute, lowest one was given to food manufacturer. 2. Government regulation on the use of food additives was known to exist, but control of the uses of food additive was considered inadequate by 60% of the respondents. These results showed significant differences for age (p<0.05), for education level (p<.01) and for income (p<.05) respectively. 3. 47.9% of the respondents indicated that they were willing to purchase the additive free foods, although it was expensive. More than 70% made an effort to eat food with less food additive and were concerned about possible effects of food additives on health, showing significant differences for age (p<0.05), for education level (p<0.05) and for income (p<0.05). 4. Labeling for food additive found on food package was shown to be unsatisfactory, showing significant difference only for income (p<0.05) and more information about food was needed by over 91.3% of the respondents, showing significant difference for education level (p<0.05). 5. Although approximately 80% of the respondents were concerned about artificial preservative, artificial flavor, artificial color and artificial sweetener, the concern about artificial preservative was the highest. Primary causes that respondents felt fear toward food additives were the unknown harms and cancer, and primary sources that respondents got information on food were televison and radio, respectively. From these results, it was shown that consumer considered food safety important and they felt a great deal of concern about food additives.
Purpose: The Inaba's procedure, the treatment of osmidrosis axillae, has the advantages of low recurrent rate and easy to learn, yet it produces early postoperative discomfort and scar formation by tie - over dressing. The authors modified the Inaba's procedure by using delayed suture of the incision wound and omitting tie - over dressing. The comparative study of Inaba's procedure and its modification was performed to confirm the advantages of modified procedure. Methods: The study contains the retrospective analysis of the medical records of 296 patients with osmidrosis who were treated using the Inaba's procedure from December, 1996 to February, 2007. The study also contains the prospective analysis of 20 patients, from March, 2007 to July, 2008, who were treated by the modified Inaba's procedure with delayed suture of the incision wound and gentle pressure dressing instead of tie - over dressing. The operative results of two groups were compared and verified by Mann - Whitney U test(SPSS 12.0). Results: The incidence of complications was 14.5% in the Inaba's procedure, whereas 6.2% in the modified Inaba's procedure. Both procedures have the same basic surgical procedure in terms of the location of incision site and subdermal shaving of the sweat glands, and therefore similar good results were obtained in the aspect of postoperative axillary odor, recurrent rate and postoperative condition of axillary hair. Certainly, the modified Inaba's procedure had better outcome in each element of PSS(Patient Scar Self-Rating Scale), compared to the Inaba's procedure. In addition, the modified Inaba's procedure showed a statistical significance in dressing - related pain reduction and overall satisfaction. Conclusion: The modified Inaba's procedure had advantages of decreased early postoperative complications such as hematoma, discomfort and pain caused by tie - over dressing, and decreased scar formation. However, the drawback was delayed suture of the incision wound after 48 hours.
Experiment was conducted on the image quality and exposure dose following replacement of $CaWO_4$ system screen BH-III and BX-III which have so far been used for high-voltage hard-radiation quality radiography, with rare earth system screen KO750, combined with high contrast film SRH, while additional filter was altered, Cu 0.8 mm+Al 1.4 mm(HVL : Al 8.8 mm), Cu 1.3 mm+Al 1.0 mm(HVL : Al 10.6 mm) and Cu 1.8 mm+Al 1.5 mm(HVL : Al 11.4 mm). AS a result, visual evaluation did not detect extreme changes in image quality under the respective condition(HVL : $Al\;8.8\;mm{\sim}Al\;11.4\;mm$). It was noted, however, that surface exposure dose declined with an increase in the thickness of the additional filter, as it was $18.9\;{\mu}Gy$ at HVL Al 8.8 mm, $17.5\;{\mu}Gy$ at Al 10.6 mm and $15.7\;{\mu}Gy$ at Al 11.4 mm. Considering the limited rating of X-ray equipment and wear of machinery, however, the range of $Cu\;1.3\;mm{\sim}1.8\;mm+Al\;1.0\;mm{\sim}1.5\;mm(1/16\;VL{\sim}1/32\;VL)$ seemed to be a limit.
The objective of this study is to investigate the efficacy of leaf powder colorants as substitutes for traditional indigo dyeing. Leaf powder colorants were prepared by hot air($50^{\circ}C$) and room temperanrre($25^{\circ}C$) drying methods from fresh leaves. The presence of indigo in the leaf powder colorants was confirmed by UV/Visible absorption spectra. All the powder colorants showed broad absorption at 602 nm as same as synthetic indigo. Dyeing was done by reduction method with sodium hydrosulfite and sodium hydroxide. Leaf powder colorants produced blue color on silk fabrics, showing similar color to the one dyed traditionally with fresh juice extract. The powder colorants prepared at room temperature drying were more stable for long term storage than that prepared by hot air drying. Thus, the powder colorants prepared by room temperature drying was reduced and dyed in one-step process without sodium hydroxide in the dyebath for further investigate dyeing properties. K/S value of the fabric dyed without sodium hydroxide was much higher than one dyed with sodium hydroxide. Regardless of the addition of sodium hydroxide, rubbing fastness was fairly good showing above 4 rating. Fastness to dry cleaning and light of the fabrics dyed without sodium hydroxide were mote higher than that dyed in alkaline condition.
Purpose: It is difficult to calculate frame U-value because of the two reason. First is selection of air properties in cavity. Second is calculation method in window frame. For this reason, it is important to decide cavity properties in window frame. However, international standards offered different method(ISO 15099, ISO 10077) and air properties was changed according to the two methods. The aim of this study was to suggest method for deriving accurate frame U-value using international standard methods and CFD simulation. Method: First, this study conducted analysis calculation method of ISO 15099 and ISO 10077. And, CFD simulation conducted based on same condition. Finally, ISO calculation and CFD simulation results were verified through comparison with real experiment results. Result: The results show that effective conductivity of ISO 15099 was the highest value. ISO 10077 and CFD result followed. The convergent values of ISO 10077 was the highest. ISO 15099 and CFD followed. ISO calculation reflecting CFD simulation results will reduce error with experimental results.

Operation Abstract : Operational cost required for navigating a ship may differ from according to type, scale, economic speed, navigation area and other factors. However, it is known that the fuel oil price ratio takes 50~60 %. It is the current trend because of the use of poor quality fuel and it is reviewed even for small to medium sized ships to save the operational costs due to the recent rise of international oil price. Furthermore, ocean carriers are taking action to low speed navigation as the alternative method of reducing fuel consumption. Hence, in this study, fuel consumption of main engine was measured by using actual operating ship data compared with sea speed at sea. It was suggested that the area of M/E's load(70 %) lower than NCR is the optimal navigating condition through the relation between speed and fuel consumption compared with advance ratio together with the load.

Introduction: Maxillomandibular fixation (MMF) is essential before surgery under general anesthesia in maxillofacial trauma patients. MMF is used basically to reconstruct the occlusion and occlusal stability to recover the facial shape and oral functions. The arch bar and wire is a traditional method for MMF, but it can not only bring pressure to the periodontal ligaments and teeth but also cause a penetrating injury to the surgeons. Materials and Methods: In this study, 198 patients with an open reduction using a manual reduction without MMF from September 2005 to May 2010 in Dankook University Dental Hospital were subjected to a follow-up evaluation during the postoperative 4 months periods. This study evaluated the incidence of complications according to the condition of the patient (gender, age), the state of bony union of the fracture sites and a numeric rating scale evaluation for postoperative pain scoring. Results: 1. The complications were classified into major and minor according to the seriousness, and the major complication rate was as low as 2.02%. Only 2 cases of re-operations (1.01%) were encountered. In the classification according to the fracture line, plate fracture was observed in both cases of mandibular symphysis fracture, and angle fractures and loosening of two screws were noted in the case of mandibular angle fracture. 2. The complication rate was similar regardless of gender and age. 3. The degree of bony union was satisfactory, and the complication rate was reduced as the bony union improved. 4. More patients complained of pain as the operation time was increased. Conclusion: The use of MMF is not always necessary if a skilled assistant is provided to help manually reduce the fracture site. Compared to other studies of mandibular fracture surgery using MMF, the complication rate was similar using only manual reduction and the patients' discomfort was reduced without MMF.
Halitosis, defined as an unpleasant oral odor, is a commonly experienced condition with a variety of etiological factors and may cause a significant social or psychological handicap to those suffering from it, In most cases, halitosis originates within the oral cavity itself and patients with periodontal disease often suffer from oral malodor, The most common cause of this disease is related to microbiota which reside on the tongue and in the periodontal pocket, This study was undertaken to examine the effect of full mouth disinfection including tongue scraping on oral malodor in a group of patients with chronic periodontitis, The relationship between halitosis and oral health status was also investigated, The volatile sulfur compounds (VSC) scores were significantly correlated with Plaque Index, Bleeding Index, pocket depth, and tongue coating score, The organoleptic ratings were significantly associated with Plaque Index, Bleeding Index. and tongue coating score, The VSC scores and organoleptic ratings correlated strongly with each other. Full mouth disinfection resulted in a significant reduction in the VSC scores. organoleptic ratings, and self-perception of malodor up to 12 weeks, This study indicates that in patients with chronic periodontitis. a full mouth disinfection including tongue scraping has a significant effect in the treatment of oral malodor.

In order to improve the productivity in the civil engineering field, efforts to apply BIM have been continuing, however, research on information modeling of tunnel structures considering alignment is insufficient. In this study, we proposed the method of building tunnel models reflecting curved alignment by transferring point data to BIM Authoring Tools(BAT) through discretization of alignment in Alignment-centered Modeling Tools(AMT). IFC data schema was derived to consider the physical and spatial elements of tunnel structures and alignment and IFC-based information management for tunnel alignment, tunnel structures and ground conditions was possible by referring to the extended data schema and including meanings in IFC property sets. The ratings for ground condition in Rock Mass Rating(RMR) and Q-system was automatically derived by using generated information model according to the proposed method.
