A Survey on Nurses' Utilization of Computerization in Nursing Practice (일개 종합병원 간호사의 간호업무 전산화 활용에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The research studied to survey the degree of utilization, satisfactions and problems of the computerization in nursing practice. Method: The subjects were 176 nurses who are working at university hospital in Seoul. The research was operated by 75 questionaries which were developed and modified from precedence study of Kim(1998), No(1996) and Pang(1996). The data was processed by SPSS for window 11.0 and the results analyzed with number, percentile, average, t-test and ANOVA. Results: As the way of using computer system in nursing, the most nurses used that to Dr's order check, treatment activity, laboratory, barcode sticker, medication in order that were connected with order system mutually to other parts. The average degree of contentment from the computerization in nursing practice was presented as 3.855 in the full mark 5. The facility of stock management got the highest points(4.98). The problem was marked 3.12 and the biggest problem is interruption of work from the computer system error(4.03). The contentment of computerization in nursing practice by duty year was reflected a significant difference(F=5,457 P=0.005) and was not related with computerization and computer education(F=0.028 P=0.867, F=2.178 P=0.142).

  • The computerization works and environment have been changed from simple transaction and data process request to system connection request, from data computerization to application work automation and process computerization through IT development and Internet spread. Recently, BPM(Business Process Management) concept has been widely propagated. It is expanding interest of business subject. Korea Railroad is operating train operation management system through 5 regional headquarters and organizations under the influence of each regional headquarter. But integrated operation and management of communication each department, work flow management and resources of depot equipment and materials have to need a lot of effort and time in huge organization as Korea Railroad. Therefore, this article realized Web Based BPM Group Ware. This article will define Korea Railroad organization and business process in using this Group Ware. And it will introduce Korea Railroad computer manage system of this Group Ware and efficient Korea Railroad Business Process through modeling and operating department work and resources management in Korea Railroad.

  • 초고속국가정보통신망 이용기관정보관리시스템은 사업 정책에 따라 지난 '97년 신규 구축된 이래 총 4차례의 수정 구축을 거듭해왔다. 그에 따라 신규 구축 당시에 비해 처리량이 5배 가량 증가하였으며 국가망사업자와의 시스템연동, 표준코드수용, 이용요금 정산기능, 웹서비스 제공, 망관리시스템 기초자료 관리 등 수 차례 기능 확장이 이루어져 왔으나, 과다하게 소요되는 처리 속도, 실시간 자료 처리 불가 등 현재 현저한 시스템 성능 저하에 직면하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 현재 시스템의 성능 저하 요인을 분석하고 개선안을 제시한다.

  • The necessity of computerizing the Central National Library of Korea has been widely recognized. The purpose of this research is to develop Korean Machine Readable Cataloging system as a first step toward an integrated library system and suggests the ways of utilizing the MARC file in Korean libraries as well as in the Central National Library. In this paper the following studies are included: 1. An analysis of the functions and current procedures of the Central National Library 2. Development of a standard record format for KOR MARC 3. Production and utilization of KOR MARC files 4. Identification of problems in developing KOR MARC system In conclusion, the following recommendations are made: 1. Standardization of the internal code and input/output equipments should be proceded for hangul and chinese data processing. 2. The libraries planning or having accomplished computerization process should be cooperative in standardizing and distributing bibliographic data bases including KOR MARC tapes. 3. Training of competent librarians and strong support from the government are required for a successful implementation of the Library's computerization project.

  • The maintenance CALS system for car of urban transit is a part of standardization and development of urban transit system, and We have been performed the establishment of maintenance CALS system from 2001 to 2005. The RAMS for management computerization system are utilized in a variety of CALS system for user's convenience and safety in maintenance. Ever since its inception though, the urban transit has searched for ways to improve reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of the railway subsystem. In this paper, This system include RAMS(reliability, availability, maintainability and safety) and expert system of the vehicles shall be enhanced in the future.

  • The concepts of modern type computer are so called "General purpose, stored program and digital computer" that is proposed by Charles Babbage. ENIAC, the initial operational electronic digital computer model, was produced in 1946. During the last 50 years, an epoch-making development of the personal computer was marked. The computerization of all levels of society is going on and also computerization of the general hospital and medical college is developing. But patient data management system for clinician is not used generally. We suggest the use of computer aided data management application programs for the clinical informations of the patients of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery for better management and to make best of medical informations, to co-operate with the current of this times, and to prepare against the Hospital Information Systems[HIS], actively. Also, we suggest to standardize the format and structure of database files to store the clinical data of the patients By standardization of the database files, we can integrate and relate the data of the individual department or hospital, build up the regional or national statistics of the patients easily, and promote the generation of application programs. The medical network by the communication and computer would be utilized to collect the database files. And finally, we suggest the use of code system to input and search the informations about the diagnosis and operation such as the code system of International Classfication of Disease[WHO] and the table of the classfication of operation of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, Korea. In this article, we tried to show the new standards, the essential items for computerization of clinical informations of the patients of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.r Surgery.

  • In modern society, the role of university becomes diversified and the concerns on building construction or landscape architecture considering beautiful landscape and scene are increasing caused by increasing interest on external environment of campus. But relative importance of concerns for the context of landscape architecture in campus is neglected rather than other facilities. So the landscape architecture service could not be conducted well. Therefore the computerization of system or management program will be needed for effective landscape architecture tree management and sufficiency of concerns on continuously increasing landscape architecture in campus. The computerization of landscape architecture tree management will be important roles not only to raise the efficiency of landscape architecture management and the view of outdoor environment but also to increase the competitive power of rapidly changing university environment and the quality of education.

  • General purpose programs are essential elements for the computerization of structural analysis. This paper is associated with actual formulation of such programs by matrix analysis. The basic theory of matrix analysis for skeletal structures, its implementation and techniques for developing efficient programs are discussed in this paper. Any shape of skeletal structure can be included in a single program for space frames. But in order to economize computing time and computer memory space, it is desirable to develop and operate seperate programs specialized into four categories; truss, planar frame, grid and space frame. As for general purpose programs, simplicity of input format and flexibility of output format should be duly considered. Compaction and solution of system equations are the most important aspects in computer programming of matrix analysis, and worth further study for more efficient computerization.

  • This paper is a study for the computerization program of incoming and outgoing processes of a number of parts and a great amount of material for producing products in flood industry, which was required by a medium-sized company located at Cheon-An. The program consists of four databases, one main form, seventeen subforms, and eight report forms. Concretely speaking, the four databases are prepared for products, semi-products, material, and reports, and the seventeen subforms are those for current inventory, used quantity, safty stock, product specification, etc. With the program, users can be helped and save manpower, time and cost in incoming and outgoing processes of parts and material for producing products and in their real time operation and decision-making.
