강화형 strip crown의 사용 (GLASS FIBER REINFORCED STRIP CROWN IN PRIMARY TEETH)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유전치 심미수복의 새로운 방법으로 glass fiber를 이용한 강화형 strip crown의 사용을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. Strip crown의 제작을 위하여 celluloid crown form(3M, USA)과 복합레진은 Z100(P shade, 3M, USA)을, 유동성 복합레진은 Aeliteflo(Bisco Inc., USA)를 사용하였다. 상아질 결합제는 Clearfil SE Bond(Kuraray Medical Inc., Japan)를 사용하였고 강화를 위하여 그물형 glass fiber(TESCERA Fiber Mesh, Bisco Inc, USA)를 사용하였다. 적절한 크기의 celluloid crown form을 성형하여 삭제된 치아에 시적한 후 레진 접착제와 유동성 복합레진으로 처리한 그물형 glass fiber를 설측 내면에 삽입하고 광중합하였다. 잔여 공간에 복합레진을 채우고 치아에 끼운 다음 광중합하였다. 복합레진의 심미성은 유지하면서 glass fiber로부터 기계적 장점을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 새로운 강화형 strip crown의 물성에 대한 후속연구가 필요하다.

  • Recently Western countries are now beginning to use ACM (Advanced Composites Material), in the construction industry Compared with existing construction materials, ACM possesses many advantages such as light-weight, high-strength, corrosion resistant property. Among other fabrication process of ACM, pultrusion is one of the promising one for civil infrastructure application. In this paper, the structural characteristics of pultruded GFRP strip and structural members of angle and tube type were studied. For the strip, parametric studies of pultrusion process has been carried out. Considered parameters were volume fraction, temperature, pulling speed and fiber orientations. For the pultruded angle and tube, compression test and buckling analysis has been carried out. The results were compared with calculated values using coded formulae

  • Ionic-polymer-metal-composite(IPMC), one of new actuation materials of electroactive polymers plated with noble metallic electrodes is known for the fast bending upon electric field. The IPMC strip bends towards anode under electrical field. It has many merits of low driving voltage, quick responsiveness, high durability, possibility of miniaturizability. In this paper, we studied for developing the large deflection of IPMC according several fabricating parameters. We measured the large deflection by the different process of sandpaper and sandblasting in surface treatment, the initial compositing process and the surface electroding process, and the different counter ions in ion exchanging process. In fundamental, the displacement of IPMC strip depends on voltage magnitude and applied signal frequency and its maximum deformation is observed at a critical frequency, resonant frequency.

  • Comparison of behaviour of shear connections by means of shear-connection strips (perfobond and comb-shaped strips) and headed studs under static and repeated loading, possible failure modes of concrete dowels and ways of the quantitative differentiation of some failure modes are described in the paper. The article presents a review of knowledge resulting from the analysis of shear-connection effects based on tests of perfobond and comb-shaped strips carried out in the laboratories of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Technical University of Kosice (TU of Kosice) in Slovakia and their comparison with results obtained by other authors.

Free vibration analysis of sandwich FGM shells using isogeometric B-spline finite strip method

  • This paper presents a free vibration analysis of shell panels made of functionally graded material (FGM) in the form of the ordinary and sandwich FGM and laminated shells using the isogeometric B3-spline finite strip method (IG-SFSM). B3-spline and Lagrangian interpolation are employed along the longitudinal and transverse directions respectively in this type of finite strip. The introduced finite strip formulation is based on the degenerated shell method, which provides variable thickness, arbitrary geometries, and analysis of thin or thick shells. Validity of the obtained natural frequencies by IG-SFSM is checked by comparison with results extracted from references for similar cases in different examples. These examples incorporate several geometries, materials, boundary conditions, and continuous thickness variation. A comparison of these two kinds of results and their proximity showed that the introduced IG-SFSM is a reliable tool which can be used in analysis of shells with the aforementioned properties.

Push-out test on the one end welded corrugated-strip connectors in steel-concrete-steel sandwich structure

  • Current form of Corrugated-strip connectors are not popular due to the fact that the two ends of this form need to be welded to steel face plates. To overcome this difficulty, a new system is proposed in this work. In this system, bi-directional corrugated-strip connectors are used in pairs, and only one of their ends is welded to the steel face plates on each side. The other end is embedded in the concrete core. To assemble the system, common welding devices are required, and welding process can be performed in the construction sites. By performing the Push-out test under static loading, the authors experimentally assess the effects of geometric parameters on ductility, failure modes and the ultimate shear strength of the aforesaid connectors. For this purpose, sixteen experimental samples are prepared and investigated. For fifteen of these samples, one end of the shear connectors is welded to steel face plates, and the other end is embedded in the concrete. Another experimental sample is prepared in which both ends are welded to the steel face plates. According to the achieved results, several relations are proposed for predicting the ultimate shear strength and load vs. interlayer slip (load-slip) behavior of corrugated-strip connectors. Moreover, these formulas are compared with those of the well-known codes and standards. Accordingly, it is concluded that the authors' relations are more reliable.

복합레진 표면의 연마방법에 따른 표면조도 (SURFACE ROUGHNESS OF COMPOSITE RESIN ACCORDING TO FINISHING METHODS)

  • 본 연구는 복합레진의 종류와 연마방법, 복합레진 연마 후 레진전색제의 적용이 복합레진의 표면조도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 복합레진의 표면조도 측정과 FE-SEM 관찰을 통하여 상호 비교하였다. 미세입자형과 nanofill 복합레진을 이용하여 $8{\times}3{\times}2mm$의 시편을 각각 100개씩 제작하였고, 연마방법과 레진전색제의 적용 유무에 따라 20개의 군으로 분류하였다. 복합레진의 종류에 따라 Micronew를 사용한 군은 M군, Filtek Supreme을 사용한 군은 5군으로 분류한 후, 연마방법에 따라 M1 과 S1군 은 polyester strip만을 사용한 군, M2군와 S2군은 Sof-Lex disc를 사용한 군, M3군과 S3군은 Enhance disc와 polishing paste를 사용한 군, M4군과 S4군은 Astropol disc를 사용한 군, M5군과 S5군은 carbide finishing bur를 사용한 군으로 다시 분류하였다. 또한 연마 후 Biscover 레진전색제를 적용한 군은 연마방법에 따른 각 군에 B를 추가하여 M1B군-M5B군 및 S1B군-S5B군으로 분류하였다. 제작된 모든 시편은 표면조도의 측정과 주사전자 현미경 관찰을 시행하기 전에 실온의 증류수에서 24시간 동안 보관하였다. 표면조도측정기를 사용하여 각 시편의 상면과 하면 모두에서 각각 5회씩 측정하여 평균 표면조도 값을 산출하여 통계적으로 분석하였으며, 각 군에서 대표적인 시편 1개를 선택하여 FE-SEM에서 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 복합레진의 표면조도 값은 polyester strip에 의해 형성된 모든 군에서 가장 낮게 나타났고, 레진전색제를 적용한 S군을 제외한 다른 모든 군에서 finishing bur로 연마한 군이 가장 높게 나타났다 (p<0.05), FE-SEM 관찰에서 레진전색제를 적용하기 전의 표면은 polyester strip을 사용한 M1군과 S1군이 가장 평활한 표면을 나타냈고, finishing bur를 사용한 M5군과 S5군은 필러의 탈락에 의해 형성된 여러 개의 기포와 함께 울퉁불퉁한 표면을 보였다. 2. 복합레진의 종류에 따른 표면조도는 레진전색제를 적용하기 전에는 통계학적으로 차이를 나타내지 않았으나, 레진전색제를 적용한 후에는 Micronew가 Filtek Supreme보다 평활한 표면을 나타내었다 (p<0.05), 3. 레진전색제를 적용하기 전에는 복합레진의 종류와 연마방법에 따른 표면조도 간에 상호 연관성이 있었으나, 레진전색제를 적용한 후에는 복합레진의 종류와 연마방법 간에 상호 연관성이 없었다. FE-SEM관찰에서 레진전색제를 적용한 후의 표면은 모든 군에서 대체적으로 평활한 표면을 나타내었다. 4. 동일한 복합레진과 연마방법으로 처리된 군에서 레진전색제 적용 전과 후의 표면조도 값은 M1B군이 M1군보다, S1B군이 S1군보다 통계학적으로 높게 나타났으며, M4B군과 M5B군은 각각 M4군과 M5군 보다. 그리고 S5B군은 S5군 보다 통계학적으로 낮게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 본 연구를 종합하여 보면, 복합레진의 종류에 따라 표면조도의 순서는 다르게 나타났고, polyester strip 하에서 복합레진이 중합된 경우 가장 낮은 표면조도 값과 평활한 표면을 제공하였으며 전반적으로 anishing bur는 가장 높은 Ra값과 거친 표면을 제공하였다. Enhance, Astropol, carbide finishing bur로 연마한 표면은 레진전색제의 사용으로 평활한 표면을 얻을 수 있었지만, polyester strip과 Sof-Lex disc로 얻어진 표면은 레진전색제의 사용으로 표면조도의 개선이 이루어지지 않았다.

동시경화 하이브리드 금속/복합재료 구조물의 제조 잔류 열응력 제거를 위한 경화사이클에 관한 연구 (Investigation of cure cycle for co-cured metal/composite hybrid structures without fabricating thermal residual stress)

  • In this work, the cure cycle of co-cured metal/composite structure was investigated to decrease fabricating thermal residual stresses between the metal and the composite material. DSC (Differential scanning calorimetry) experiment and static lap shear test of co-cured aluminum/composite double lap joint as well as the curvature experiment of co-cured steel/composite strip were performed to investigate the effect of curing cycle on the thermal residual stress of co-cured hybrid structures. From the experiments, it was found that post curing method after abrupt cooling of co-cured aluminum/composite hybrid structure at certain point of degree of cure during curing process could eliminate fabricating the thermal residual stresses.

  • 최근 건설 산업에서 FRP는 재료적 장점으로 RC 구조물의 보강 재료로서 많이 사용되어지고 있다. FRP 외부부착보강은 중량에 비하여 높은 강도 및 강성, 우수한 내구성과 시공성등 여러 가지 장점을 가지는 공법이다. 그러나 외부부착보강은 구조물이 투수성이 낮은 보강재로 밀폐되고 수분이 외부로 배출되지 못함으로 인하여, 장기적인 구조물의 손상을 발생시키는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer)와 재료적성질은 동등하면서, 투수성을 지녀 콘크리트 구조물의 모체와 부착성 및 내구성능 및 내구성이 우수한 유리섬유 패널(Glass Fiber Composite Pannel )에 대해서 휨 실험을 수행하여 복합소재 스트립의 섬유함량의 변화에 따른 실험변수별 내력증진 및 연성 증진 효과를 비교 분석하였다.

Shear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams with minimum CFRP and GFRP strips using different wrapping technics without anchoring application

  • In this study, the performance of shear deficient reinforced concrete (RC) beams with rectangular cross-sections, which were externally bonded reinforced (EBR) with high strength CFRP and GFRP strips composite along shear spans, has been experimentally and analytically investigated under vertical load. In the study, the minimum CFRP and GFRP strips width over spacing were considered. The shear beam with turned end to a bending beam was investigated by applying different composite strips. Therefore various arising in each of strength, ductility, rigidity, and energy dissipation capacity were obtained. A total of 12 small-scaled experimental programs have been performed. Beam dimensions have been taken as 100×150×1000 mm. Four beams have been tested as unstrengthened samples. This paper focuses on the effect of minimum CFRP and GFRP strip width on behaviours of RC beams shear-strengthened with full-wrapping, U-wrapping, and U-wrapping+longitudinal bonding strips. Strengthened beams showed significant increments for flexural ductility, energy dissipation, and inelastic performance. The full wrapping strips applied against shear failure have increased the load-carrying capacity of samples 53%-63% interval rate. Although full wrapping is the best strengthening choice, the U-wrapping and U-wrapping+longitudinal strips of both CFRP and GFRP bonding increased the shear capacity by 53%~75% compared to the S2 sample. In terms of ductility, the best result has been obtained by the type of strengthening where the S5 beam was completely GFRP wrapped. The experimental results were also compared with the analytically given by ACI440.2R-17, TBEC-2019 and FIB-2001. Especially in U-wrapped beams, the estimation of FIB was determined to be 81%. The estimates of the other codes are far from meeting the experimental results; therefore, essential improvements should be applied to the codes, especially regarding CFRP and GFRP deformation and approaches for longitudinal strip connections. According to the test results, it is suggested that GFRP, which is at least as effective but cheaper than CFRP, may be preferred for strengthening applications.
