  • A top emission organic light emitting diode comprising of a triple anode on polycarbonate $film/TNATA/NPB/Alq_3:C545T/cathodes$ has been fabricated. The triple layer structure of Cr/Al/Cr allowed for fabrication of a crack-free anode and provided better higher work function than ITO anode. The anode showed compatibility with flexible plastic substrate and no crack was formed during bending test while ITO anode showed crack.

  • Vibrating test of vehicle component can be possible in lab-based simulators instead of field testing owing to the development of technology in control algorithm as well as computational process. Currently, Multi-Axial Simulation Table(MAST) is recommended as a vibrating equipment, which excites a target component for 3-directional translation and rotation motion simultaneously and hence, vibrational condition can be fully approximated to that of real road test. But, the vibration-free performance of target component is not guaranteed with MAST system, which is only simulator subjective to the operator. Rather, the reliability of multi-axial vibration test is dependent on the quality of input profile which should cover the required severity of vibrating condition on target component. In this paper, multi-axial vibration testing methodology of vehicle component is presented here, from data acquisition of vehicle accelerations to the obtaining the input profile of MAST using severe data at proving ground. To compare the severity of vibration condition, between real road test and proving ground one, energy principle of equivalent damage is proposed to calculate energy matrices of acceleration data and then, it is determined the optimal combination of special events on proving ground which is equivalent to real road test at the aspects of vibration fatigue using sequential searching optimal algorithm. To explain the vibration methodology clearly, seat and door component of vehicle are selected as a example.

  • In order to analyze the vibration control effect of viscous damper in the concrete archaized buildings with lintel-column joints under seismic action, 3 specimens were tested under dynamic excitation. Two specimens with viscous damper were defined as the controlled component and one specimen without viscous damper was specified as the non-controlled component. The loading process and failure patterns were obtained from the test results. The failure characteristics, skeleton curves and mechanical behavior such as the load-displacement hysteretic loops, load carrying capacity, degradation of strength and rigidity, ductility and energy dissipation of the joints were analyzed. The results indicate that the load-bearing capacity of the controlled component is significantly higher than that of the non-controlled component. The former component has an average increase of 27.4% in yield load and 22.4% in ultimate load, respectively. Meanwhile, the performance of displacement ductility and the ability of energy dissipation for the controlled component are superior to those of the non-controlled component as well. Compared with non-controlled component, equivalent viscous damping coefficients are improved by 27.3%-30.8%, the average increase is 29.0% at ultimate load for controlled component. All these results reflect that the seismic performance of the controlled component is significantly better than that of the non-controlled component. These researches are helpful for practical application of viscous damper in the concrete archaizing buildings with lintel-column joints.

  • The value of Web in information societyis increasing in the field of education. Web Based Instruction (WBI) has an unlimited possibility of access the information. It also overcome the constraint of time and space more than the previous class learning method. The previous WBI system informed the results of study to learners after a professor's lecture and test was given. The uniform test didn't make the professor recognize the learner's evaluation according to the level of the learner and it couldn't be a reason to change a teaching method. In this paper, we discuss the Learning Evaluation(LE) component which can support a teaching method to teachers. We suggest LE component for supporting teachers as suggesting visually the test result of pre-test by step and post-test with several ways after analyzing, designing and realizing the evaluation of the test based on CDP(Component Development Process).

  • High quality software is the one that has an excellent performance with a low price, consumer's request satisfaction and less bug. In addition, it should have structure easily maintainable. CBD(Component Based Development)technology is getting more popular as a method for software development which can satisfy all above conditions. Although there are a lot of test methods about component for composition, function, compatibility and reliability, it's not enough to ensure that the component has reliability, maintainability, and reusability, so an integated method are necessary. In this paper, we are going to propose the solution model for integrating components, which are based on UML (Unified Modeling Language) technologies. This model can extract existing faults in the component interfaces by referencing sequence diagram and collaboration diagram.

  • A satellite component must withstand vibration caused when launch vehicle acoustics and engine rumble transfer to it through its structural mount. Components shall be subjected to environmental tests after manufacturing process thus the environmental test conditions are needed for component level test including vibration and shock. This paper deals with derivation of component-level environmental test specifications, especially for solar panels of STSAT-2(Science & Technology SATellite-2). Sine sweep random vibration, and shock test conditions were generated for solar panels by assuming the satellite as single-degree-of-freedom system with a base excitation.

  • Medical image segmentation is the process by which an original image is partitioned into some homogeneous regions like bones, soft tissues, etc. This study demonstrates an automatic medical image segmentation technique based on independent component analysis. Independent component analysis is a generalization of principal component analysis which encodes the higher-order dependencies in the input in addition to the correlations. It extracts statistically independent components from input data. Use of automatic medical image segmentation technique using independent component analysis under the assumption that medical image consists of some statistically independent parts leads to a method that allows for more accurate segmentation of bones from CT data. The result of automatic segmentation using independent component analysis with square test data was evaluated using probability of error(PE) and ultimate measurement accuracy(UMA) value. It was also compared to a general segmentation method using threshold based on sensitivity(True Positive Rate), specificity(False Positive Rate) and mislabelling rate. The evaluation result was done statistical Paired-t test. Most of the results show that the automatic segmentation using independent component analysis has better result than general segmentation using threshold.

  • This paper provides the test results of bonding behavior of the interface between concrete substrate and carbon fiber in the rehabilitation method applying carbon fiber with epoxy based resin adhesive. The difference in each components was gradually increased subjected to the repetition of temperature variation, regardless of the strength of the substrate concrete, while the ultrasonic interface between each component occurred. An increase in difference of the temperature resulted in a decrease in bond strength of each component. Associated failure mode was shown to be interfacial failure and substrate concrete failure. No remarkable changes were found in the deformation and ultrasonic velocity of each component until the four cycles of the dry and moisture test. Hence, the moisture condition may not affect the bonding behavior of each component. After the repetition of dry and moisture test, corresponding bond strength was reduced to 40% of that before test. For the effect of freeze and thaw test, the cycle of freeze and thaw within 4 cycles resulted in debonding of each component.

  • In this research, an analysis of damaged instance and forming fault for disc part in automotive steel wheel was performed. Rolled steel material, which had been used in the manufacturing of the damaged disc part, was prepared for tensile test, quantitative analysis of chemical component and acquirement of scanning electron microscope images. Although the results of mechanical properties and chemical component ratio for the material satisfied the suggested specification, some material inherent problem was found in the scanning electron microscope images. Finally, in an analysis of chemical component for the damaged disc part used in road condition, mismatching of chemical component ratio between the suggested specification and test result was found.

  • As environmental conditions for memory products are increasingly high speed/high density, adopting diverse system configuration, it's more and more difficult for current component tester to adopt the actual condition of field application. If system test screening is realized in component level, test coverage failure can be made more secured in the initial stage, evaluation cost can be reduced and the effectiveness of investment for the facility can be maximized. Based on the above background, component automatic system tester was developed and showed off satisfactory results per each memory device family. In this paper, component quality stabilization strategy and cost saving for tester investment through future Quality monitoring and application to mass production will be presented.
