The skyshine effect is an essential and important phenomenon in the shielding design of the high energy accelerator. In this study, a new estimation method of neutron skyshine was proposed and was verified by comparison with existing methods. The effective dose of secondary neutrons and photons at the locations that was far away from high-energy electron accelerator was calculated using FLUKA and PHITS Monte Carlo code. The transport paths of secondary radiations to reach a long distance were classified as skyshine, direct, groundshine and multiple-shine. The contribution of each classified component to the total effective dose was evaluated. The neutrons produced from the thick copper target irradiated by 10 GeV electron beam was applied as a source term of this transport. In order to evaluate a groundshine effect, the composition of soil on the PAL-XFEL site was considered. At a relatively short distance less than 50 m from the accelerator tunnel, the direct and groundshine components mostly contributed to the total effective dose. The skyshine component was important at a long distance. The evaluated dose of neutron skyshine agreed better with the results using Rindi's formula, which was based on the experimental results at high energy electron accelerator. That also agreed with the estimated dose using the simple evaluation code, SHINE3, within about 20%. The total effective dose, including all components, was 10 times larger than the estimated doses using other methods for this comparison. The influence of multiple-shine path in this evaluation of the estimation method was investigated to be bigger than one of pure skyshine path.
The chemical components of Korean pollens and pollen extracts were analysed to provide fundamental data for pollen processing and products development. The contents of crude protein, crude lipid, crude ash, crude fiber and carbohydrate of pollens were $14.0{\sim}22.3%,\;3.0{\sim}8.8%,\;2.2{\sim}3.3%,\;0{\sim}37.5%,\;and\;31.9{\sim}64.4%$ respectively, showing the specially high crude fiber content (37.5%) in Pine pollen. Almost all the carbohydrate, lipid, protein and ash components except fiber were extracted by water and n-hexane. Free sugars identified in water extracts $(10\;^{\circ}Bx)$ of pollens were fructose and glucose as major component and maltose as minor component. The proportions of three free sugars to total soluble solid content of Mixed, Acorn, and Pine water extracts were 73.6%, 85.4% and 47.7% respectively. Potassium and phosphorus content in pollens and pollen water extracts were high, but Ca, Na, Mg, Fe and Zn were not major mineral components. The essential amino acids such as leucine, phenylalanine, methionine, lysine, valine, isoleucine and threonine were contained richly in pollens and those were almost completely extracted by water. Vitamin $B_1$ and C were not detected, but only small amount of vitamin $B_2$ was detected in the pollens and pollen extracts tested. The essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid and linolenic acid were contained richly in pollens. The proportion of unsaturated fatty acids to total fatty acid content in Mixed, Acorn and Darae pollen except Pine was higher than 50%.
Purpose: To develop the 2~8X zoom beam expander for the 1064 nm laser source. Methods: After developing the program by which the initial design values of 3-component zoom tracks can be quickly obtaind, we design and develop the zoom beam expander by applying this program and the commercial program of Sigma 2000. Results: In this study, we could develop the program by which the initial design values of zoom tracks can be quickly obtaind, and by applying this program and the commercial program of Sigma 2000 we could design and develop the zoom beam expander for 1064 nm which is able to zoom from 2${\times}$ to 8${\times}$. The developed zoom beam expander has an efficient diameter of the incidence side of 8 mm, an efficient diameter of the exit side of 32 mm, and a capacity with the finite ray aberration within 0.0001rad. Because the overall length (OAL) is restricted between 125 mm and 135 mm, the change of the whole barrel length which is caused by variations of the zoom driving becomes to be within 10 mm. Conclusions: we could develop the program by which the initial design values of zoom tracks can be quickly obtaind, and by applying this program we could design and develop the zoom beam expander for 1064 nm which is able to zoom from 2${\times}$ to 8${\times}$.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to provide sex-matched three-dimensional (3D) statistical shape models of the mandible, which would provide cephalometric parameters for 3D treatment planning and cephalometric measurements in orthognathic surgery. Materials and Methods: The subjects used to create the 3D shape models of the mandible included 23 males and 23 females. The mandibles were segmented semi-automatically from 3D facial CT images. Each individual mandible shape was reconstructed as a 3D surface model, which was parameterized to establish correspondence between different individual surfaces. The principal component analysis (PCA) applied to all mandible shapes produced a mean model and characteristic models of variation. The cephalometric parameters were measured directly from the mean models to evaluate the 3D shape models. The means of the measured parameters were compared with those from other conventional studies. The male and female 3D statistical mean models were developed from 23 individual mandibles, respectively. Results: The male and female characteristic shapes of variation produced by PCA showed a large variability included in the individual mandibles. The cephalometric measurements from the developed models were very close to those from some conventional studies. Conclusion: We described the construction of 3D mandibular shape models and presented the application of the 3D mandibular template in cephalometric measurements. Optimal reference models determined from variations produced by PCA could be used for craniofacial patients with various types of skeletal shape.
This paper proposes an extended scheduler model that is an extension of the existing model proposed already in [4, 5], which consists of upper layer task scheduler and lower layer scheduling framework. However, in order to support aperiodic task scheduling, the task scheduler has been divided into two parts, such as periodic task control component and aperiodic task control component. Thus, the proposed model can support various bandwidth-preserving servers that can service aperiodic tasks. The model distinctly separates a classic monolithic kernel scheduler into several kernel components according to their functionality. This enables system developers to implement a new scheduling algorithm or aperiodic task server independent of complex low kernel mechanism, and reconfigure the system at need. In Real-Time Linux [6], we implemented the proposed scheduling framework representative scheduling algorithms, and server bandwidth-preserving servers on purpose to test. Throughout these implementations, we confirmed that a new algorithm or server could be developed independently without updates of complex low kernel modules. In order to verify efficiency of the proposed model, we measured the performance of several aperiodic task servers. The results showed this the performance of model, which even consisted of two hierarchical components and several modules, didnt have such high run-time overhead, and could efficiently support reconfiguration and scheduler development.
The purpose of this study was to examine practice of strategies childcare teachers use in order to promote peer interaction among young children and difficulties in implementing strategies by using mixed methodology. The participants of current study were 155 inservice childcare teachers and they completed SIPPY questionnaire. To investigate strategy practice with difficulties, 44 teachers participated in theme writing and 3 teachers were interviewed. SIPPY data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 and theme writing and interview transcripts were coded by qualitative analysis procedure. Results are as follows; First, teachers in this study use more environmental and naturalistic activity strategies than intensive strategies. Depending on educational experience and education level, there was a statistically significant difference. Second, participants reported various natural activity strategies that they use in the classroom such as compliments, modeling, suggestion, cooperative activity plan. Based on the analysis of qualitative data, four categories of difficulties were presented such as environmental component, disconnection with families, child individual characteristics, and teacher component. Implications were discussed in terms of teacher education and teacher driven professional development program.

General component and mineral contents according to species of Capsicum annuum were investigated. In addition, chuichung cucumber, white dadagi cucumber, and yellowish overripe cucumber were cooked by using seven different methods (boiling, steaming, pan-cooking, roasting, pan-frying, deep-frying, and microwaving), and retention rates of general components and minerals according to species were evaluated. Weight loss was observed in all cucumber species using all cooking methods. Most general component and mineral contents of C. annuum samples were significantly different according to species, and cooking method (P<0.05), whereas Fe and Cu contents were not significantly affected by species and cooking method, respectively. As a result, the highest protein, fat, ash contents were detected in deep-fried C. annuum, and high moisture contents were detected in raw, boiled, and steamed C. annuum. High mineral contents were detected in roasted and microwaved chuichung cucumber, deep-fried white dadagi cucumber and yellowish overripe cucumber. Retention rates of C. annuum by cooking method, ranged from 30~100% for protein, 10~100% for fat, 35~90% for moisture, and 30~100% for ash. High retention rates were observed for minerals in boiled, roasted, and microwaved chuichung cucumber, and deep-fried white dadagi cucumber and yellowish overripe cucumber. However, in yellowish overripe cucumber, mineral retentions rate were remarkably lowered by boiling and steaming, resulting in rates of 20~45%. These results were the data used as the basis for development of cucumbers.
ITA (Information Technology Architecture) satisfies the requirements of information system, supports the information used in the institution's business to guarantee the interoperability and security, and analyzes the components of information system. ITA consists of EA (Enterprise Architecture), TRM (Technical Reference Manual) and SP (Standard Profile). The SP, one of the major components of ITA, is a set of information technology standards. In this paper, to construct and utilize the ITA, we mention the applications of information technology about the SP system implementation based on the TRM. The SP management system implemented in this paper is the first trial in Korea, and designs the software with object oriented programming languages such as JSP and Java. Moreover the basic and detailed specification based on the UML notation, system design using the component and system design pattern consisting of software architectures enhance the software reusability. And the constructed system in this paper shows less maintenance cost by using the public softwares such as Linux system, Korean DBMS, Apache and Tomcat, etc. Finally, the system includes the SP reference system which is used in the other institutions and cannot be found in other institutions. Also it includes the additional diverse service modules which support the subsequent processing for the establishment and revision of standards via internet.
Water consumption characteristics on the northern part of Seoul were analyzed using wavelet transform with a base function of Coiflets 5. It turns out that long term evolution mode detected at 212 scale in 1995 was in a shape of hyperbolic tangent over the entire period due to the development of Sanggae resident site. Furthermore, there was seasonal water demand having something to do with economic cycle which reached its peak at the ends of June and December. The amount of this additional consumption was about $1,700\;\textrm{cm}^3/hr$ on June and $500\;\textrm{cm}^3/hr$ on December. It was also shown that the periods of energy containing sinusoidal component were 3.13 day, 33.33 hr, 23.98 hr and 12 hr, respectively, and the amplitude of 23.98 hr component was the most humongous. The components of relatively short frequency detected at $2^i$[i = 1,2,…12] scale were following Gaussian PDF. The most reliable predictive models are multiple AR[32,16,23] and ARMA[20, 16, 10, 23] which the input of temperature from the view point of minimized predictive error, mutual independence or residuals and the availableness of reliable meteorological data. The predicted values of water supply were quite consistent with the measured data which cast a possibility of the deployment of the predictive model developed in this study for the optimal management of water supply facilities.
A mobile device like ceil phone is the necessity of modern people, of ich con be easily connected to a wireless internet through such a mobile device. The demand for a wireless data communication is growing rapidly. However, agencies have not yet completed standardization of a markup language. Due to the development of the Mobile Device, agencies in this field have provided different data formats with each Mobile Device Platform. Traditionally, contents is hand-tailored to suit the target device. A key problem is that the characteristics and capabilities of the mobile device are too diverse to service the most suitable mobile contents. Because of these problems, the need for a re-usable document description language increases. In this paper, we defined Template file that is common data to service mobile devices. We proposed a method that could be an effective wireless web service though design and the implementation of the Call manager & the XSL Generator. In the methodology, when requesting a wireless internet service, a mobile device finds out markup language and a hardware specification of the mobile device through the Call Manager component supports. The XSL Generator component creates the XSL file dynamically that is the most suitable to a device. Finally, contents is serviced to each device by XSLT. It can generate a wireless page more easily by reusing the existing web contents through such course. Therefore, it can save the time and expense for generating a wireless page.
