  • Framework is the set of interrelated classes, constructing reusable design in specific domain or set of abstracted classes, and defines common architecture among applications included in domain. Developers can reuse not only class code but also wide range of knowledge on domain by reusing framework. In this papers, we present COM(Component-Oriented Methodology) for the reuse of framework, and develop construction environment for framework and domain development. That is, domain is analyzed by input of domain knowledge on real world to create software based on component, and hotspot is identified through analyzed information, and redesigned(refactoring) by putting additional information on users and developers. After that, I will create domain framework and application framework depending on domain. In this Component-oriented methodology, information is searched, understood and extracted or composite through component-pattern library storage internally. Then this information is classified into the information on component and pattern respectively, and used as additional information in redesigning. With this, developer can obtain reusability, easiness and portability by constructing infrastructure environment that allow to register, update and delete component through Component Pattern Management System(CPMS) under the development environment which can be easily applied to his own application using multimedia component, in this thesis, CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) environment.

  • To understand the shape of the neck in a view of garment planning, principal component analysis has been appliedto the measurement of the neck. The neck surface development and the cross sections of the neck have been observed. The materials consist of the body mearsurements, the neck surface developments and the cross sec- tions of the necks of a total of 108 korean woman students. The difference between the right side and the left side of the neck has not been reconginiged. But the differenece among the height of the front neck point, that of the side neck point and that of the back neck point has been recognized. 2. The initial 41 items have been found having variety and duplication. So two criteria have been made to solve those problems and the selection of 34 items have been made by each criterion. 3. 43 and 34 items have been compared by means of accumulative ratios of contribution and of clearness within the meaning of principal component. As a result, 34 measurement items have been further anylysis. 4. As a result of principal component analysis on the 34 items, the four principal components have been found obtaines and inter-preted. The four principal components are 1) the thick of the neck, 2) the front neck-line on the waist basic pattern, basic pattern, 3) the shape of the neck surface development, and 4) the back neck-line on the waist basic pattern. 5. According to the graphic informations concerning these principal components, the meaning of these four principal components has been grasped on the visual. As a result, there is a large individual difference in the shape of neck.

  • Recently. component-based software development is getting accepted in industry as a new effective software development paradigm, Since an introduction of component-based software engineering(CBSE) at later 90's, the CBSD research has focused largely on component modeling, methodology, architecture and platform, However. as the number of components available on the market increases, it becomes more important to make metrics to measure the various characteristics of components. In this paper. we propose metrics for measuring the complexity, customizability, and resuability of software components, Complexity of metrics can be used to evaluate the complexity of components Customizability is used to measure how efficiently and widely the components can be customized for specific requirements organization, Resuability can be used to measure the degree of features that is reused in building applications.

  • Disease incidence (DI), pre-emergence damping-off (PDO), days until the first symptom appeared (DUS), disease progress curve (DPC), and area under disease progress curve (AUDPC) were investigated in vivo after sowing ginseng seeds in each of 37 ginseng-cultivated soils which were sampled from 4 regions in Korea. Non linear fitting parameters, A, B, K and M, were estimated from the Richards' function, one of the disease progress models, by using the DI at each day from the bioassay. Inter- and intra-relationships between disease variables and stand-missing rate (SMR) in fields were investigated by using the simple correlation analysis. Disease variables of the root rot were divided into two groups: variables related to disease incidence, e.g., DI, AUDPC and A parameter, and variables related to disease progress, e.g., B, K and M parameters. DI, AUDPC, and DUS had significant correlations with SMR in ginseng fields, and then it showed that the disease development in vivo corresponded with that in fields. Soil samples could be separated into 3 and 4 groups, respectively, on the basis of the principal component 1 (PC1) and the principal component 2 (PC2), which were derived from the principal component analysis (PCA) of Richards' parameters, A, B, K and M. PC1 accounted for B, K and M parameters, and PC2 accounted for A parameter.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient method to remove noise component contained in high resolution range profile(HRRP) to improve target identification performance. The proposed method can effectively eliminate the noise component using both the statistical characteristics of the noise component and EMD algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed method can substantially improve the identification capability, removing the noise component effectively.

  • Web-Based Education System changed from one side transmission of information to bi-directional information exchange with user. Accordingly, It had been implemented on 3-tier models with each function separation using database and server side language such as CGI (Common Gateway Interface). But, The CBSD(Component Based Software Development) techniques receives many interests recently, and efforts to apply this are appearing. Thus, In this research implemented component base question solving system. For this, I used EJB(Enterprise Java Beans) that is web server component model, and used Petri-Net for typical specification about message flow between components.

  • An External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp (EEFL) has longer lifespan, higher power efficiency and higher luminance than a Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL). Moreover, it is easy to drive them in parallel. Therefore, the EEFL is expected to quickly replace the CCFL in LCD backlight systems. However, the EEFL has more complex characteristics than the CCFL with a resistive component, because it has both a resistive component by plasma and a capacitive component by external electrode. In this paper, values of resistance and capacitance are measured at several power levels and at several operating frequencies. They are expressed by a numeral formula based on a linear approximation that represents the equivalent resistance and capacitance as a function of power. Then we made block diagram of the equivalent circuit model using numerical expressions. Simulation waveforms and experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility of the equivalent model.

  • Current CIM systems need to correspond flexibly to the frequent change of demands of the customers and the fast changing informations about the production environment. The demands have brought forth CIM systems developed using object-oriented technology, with reusability, expansibility, and flexibility for the system components. Due to the fact that the OO-CIM system has been developed based on an incomplete data, the constructed system must be implemented to the actual surroundings to see how pertinent it is. Hence, this paper presents an OO-simulator as a means to evaluate the pertinency and the efficiency of the developed CIM system. The OO-simulator can determine the problems likely to occur when a developed CIM system is implemented to the actual site and evaluate the efficiency beforehand. Such properties will decrease the cost of CIM system development and increase the reliability of the system. This paper presents a framework for an OO-simulator composed of a virtual factory component embodying the characteristics of a virtual factory, a connector component for the interface between the CIM system and the simulator, a configuration component for modeling the constituent structure of the CIM system, and a timer component in charge of the time advance for the simulation.

  • This study presents a cost of efforts estimation model under the environment of developing a software using component software package tools. The approach taken was to drive from variety of sources in an attempt to identify the most significant factors. These sources ranged from already existing cost models like COTS integration cost and COCOMO models to information gathered in a data collection survey. Once the candidate drivers had been identified, the next step was to interview with the experts who had been experienced more than 5 years in component development area to identify the most significant driving factors. From those selected drivers, I established the Cost Estimation Model which is suitable for the developing a software using component software package tools by applying the general from of the well-know COCOMO software cost estimation model. To established the best fit in Korean Software industry, I used Regression statistical analysis with 31 data collections.

  • Since Component-Based Development, or CBD, struck Korea SI industry a heavy blow several years ago, many major SI companies in Korea have implemented the CBD practices in real world, leveraging supports from the government and academic world. The result, however, falls short of their expectations. The major reason is that they have mainly focused on CBD processes and technical issues around it, although it is necessary as well to deal with other non-technical issues in order to make business values from CBD. This paper begins with reminding us what CBD tries to achieve indeed in terms of software development processes, then recognizes what we have achieved so far introducing a recent CBD project case, BOK-WIRE system. Thereafter, it reveals the chances that SI companies must take in order to make their CBD efforts succeed, pointing out what are the roadblocks really.
