Of interest to second language researchers and classroom teachers today is whether and in what wats formal instruction can promote the development of appropriate use of the target language. Most formal instruction is closely related with the use of textbooks in ESL classrooms, so this study focuses on ESL textbooks. In order to learn to communicate successfully, students should use textbooks which specify the rules of language use for the community in which they are operating. This study examines the speech acts of compliment across 8 middle school English textbooks published in Korea. This study analyses the speech acts of compliment according to the following criteria : 1) vocabulary - adjective, verb, intensifier 2) sentence pattern 3) social strategy - invitation to talk, greetings, farewells, expression of gratitude, etc. 4) types of response. As a result of this study some suggestions is giver to promote the development of appropriate use of English through English textbooks.

Thank you for inviting me as a guest speaker to this 30th anniversary of the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea. I take it as a compliment to may firm F. Hoffmann-La Roche and Co., Which, has not only dicovered and introduced the benzodiazepines, but has since then been continually in the fore-front of this research. As may subject is going to be "Current Trends in Benzodiazepine Research" I will try to have a look into pending problems. The history of the benzodiazepines has been told several times (e. g. Sternbach, Haefely).

The purpose of the study is to examine the impact of self-esteem and unstable adult attachment on compensatory consumption among millennials. The survey was conducted on millennials (19~34) in June, 2018. The results revealed the static relationship between self-esteem and compliment-type compensatory consumption, while the relationship of self-esteem with consolation-type compensation consumption become insignificant when unstable adult attachment was controlled. Unstable adult attachment(anxiety/avoidance) showed significant impace on both compliment-type and consolation-type compensatory consumption. The research findings imply that compensatory consumption behaviors can be explained with psychological and relational factors among consumers in their early adulthood.

The purpose of this article is to study on the Comparison of the Basic Law on Electronic Commerce and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act(UETA). The purpose of th Basic Law on Electronic Commerce is to contribute to the national economy by clarifying the legal effect of transactions by means of electronic messages so as to ensure the security and reliability thereof and to secure fair trade, and further by establishing sound and orderly transactions, and promoting electronic commerce. It is important to understand that the purpose of the UETA is to remove barriers to electronic commerce by validating and effectuating electronic records and signatures. It is not a general contracting-the substantive rules of contracts remain unaffected by UETA. Nor is a digital signature statute. To the extent that a State has a Digital Signature Law, the UETA is designed to support and compliment that statute.

The purpose of this study is to analyze user's behaviors and environmental image to show how to plan dining facilities by checking what factors make user's satisfaction and how inferior factors effect dining people. The spaces in this study are dining facilities in a University. Dining places are campus welfare facilities, students don't have other choice. Dining facilities are determined according to user's desire to convenience and time saying. And this facilities will be compliment to resting places in campus. As we know, functional planing facilities are central element in University Master Plan and must consider interior decoration, surrounding places and some other instruments. Scale of dining facilities must accommodate with many students, therefore dining facilities can served as spare place and resting space.

The study has analyzed impacts and intensity of weather that affect $PM_{10}$ concentration based on PM10 forecast conducted by the city of Seoul in order to identify ways to improve the accuracy of PM10 forecast. Variables that influence $PM_{10}$ concentration include not only velocity and direction of the wind and rainfalls, but also those including secondary particulate matter, which were identified to greatly influence the concentration in complicated manner as well. In addition, same variables were found to have different impacts depending on seasons and conditions of other variables. The study found out that improving accuracy of $PM_{10}$ concentration forecast face some limits as it is greatly influenced by the weather. As an estimation, this study assumed that basic research units and artificially estimated pollutant emissions, study on mechanisms of secondary particulate matter productions, observatory compliment, and enhanced forecaster's expertise are needed for better forecast.

The purpose of this study is to investigate environmental factors that affect mathematics learning of students in multicultural families. For this study, as study subjects, eight elementary school students and one middle school student, who were born and grew up in multicultural families in Korea due to international marriage of Korean father and foreign mother, and their five mothers were selected. To examine factors affecting mathematics learning and interests of students in multicultural families, relationships with parents, friends, and teachers were surveyed, and mathematics attitude test was performed. After conducting one on one interview based on collected questionnaires and results of the attitude test, qualitative data analysis was performed. As a result of survey and interview, positive factors affecting mathematics learning of students in multicultural families included arousing interest in mathematics through mother's mathematics teaching in her mother language and direct teaching, good peer relation, teacher's compliment and encouragement, and lowering the burden of language in accordance with characteristics of mathematics course.

The anti-compliment activity of hemolytic complementary assay(TCH50) of rhamnan sulfate fraction obtained from water extracts of Monostroma nitidum was investigated Rhamnan sulfate Fraction, F-4-3 fraction appeared relatively strong anti-complementary activity which decreased TCH50 over 60% than that comparison with control, and F-4-3 considerably inhibited ACH50. F-4-3 inhibited formation of the classical pathway C3 convertase or C4 cleavage. The results also indicate the mode of complement activation by F-4-3 fraction shows not only the classical pathway but also the alternative pathway.

We define new classes of expansive-type mappings in the setting of modular 𝜔^G-metric spaces and prove the existence of common unique fixed point for these classes of expansive-type mappings on 𝜔^G-complete modular 𝜔^G-metric spaces. The results established in this paper extend, improve, generalize and compliment many existing results in literature. We produce some examples to validate our results.

Letters of Credit are the most common method of payment for goods in the export trade, and banking practice relating to letters of credit is standardised by the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, which are a set of rules issued by the International Chamber of Commerce. The current version is UCP 600, which took effect on July 1, 2007. To assist the practitioners of Documentary Credits, the KCCI(Koea Chamber of Commerce and Industry) authorised a new publication-Official Commentary on UCP 600. This new publication added the word "official" in the title. In order to being an official commentary, the terms and expression should be correct and unified. But there is some problems in official commentary and legal phraseology. The problem was appeared that ICC UCP 600's were translated into Korean UCP 600 version. For example, "Issuing Bank", "Applicant", "Port of discharge", "A date of pick-up", "Shipper's load and count", "Courier Receipt", "Charter Party", "Bill of Lading", "Cover Note", "Exclusion Clause", "Insurance Certificate", "Declaration, Underwriter". If can be used 'Official Commentary on UCP 600', the above statements should be a compliment though take a wide professional opinions or held a public hearings. The Purpose of this paper is to point out the problems and substitute the term used and unify the expression in official commentary.
