Macro interfaces between two different bulk materials which affect the stability of insulation system exist inevitably in the complex insulation system using in extra high voltage (EHV) electric devices. In this paper, Interface between epoxy and ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) was selected as an interface in electrical insulation system and the AC dielectric strength of the interface was investigated. Air compress system was used to give pressure to the interface. Specimens were prepared in various ways to generate different surface conditions for each type of interface. Increasing interfacial pressure, decreasing surface roughness and spreading oil over surfaces improve the AC interfacial dielectric strength. Especially, the dielectric strength was saturated at certain interfacial pressure.
The sensitivity method has been utilized to find initial blank shapes which transform into desired shapes after forming. From the information of die shapes, target shape and material properties, the corresponding initial blank which gives final shape after deformation has been found. Drawings of a trapezoidal cup, a cross-shaped cup and an oil pan have been chosen as the examples. At every case the optimal blank shape has been obtained only a few times of modification without any predetermined deformation path. With the predicted optimal blank, both computer simulation and experiment are performed. Excellent agreements are recognized between simulation and experiment at every cases Through the investigation, the sensitivity method is found to be effective in obtaining optimal blank shapes in drawing of complex shapes.
Extra heavy oil reservoirs are distributed over the world but most of them is deposited in the northern part of the Orinoco River in Venezuela, in the area of 5,500 $km^2$, This region, which has been commonly called "the Orinoco Oil Belt", contains estimated 1.3 trillion barrels of original oil-in-place and 250 billion barrels of established reserves. The Venezuela extra heavy oil has an API gravity of less than 10 degree and in situ viscosity of 5,000 cP at reservoir condition. Although the presence of extra heavy oil in the Orinoco Oil Belt has been initially reported in the 1930's, the commercial development using in situ cold production started in the 1990's. The Orinoco heavy oil deposits are clustered into 4 development areas, Boyaco, Junin, Ayachoco, and Carabobo respectively, and they are subdivided into totally 31 production blocks. Nowadays, PDVSA (Petr$\'{o}$leos de Venzuela, S.A.) makes a development of each production block with the international oil companies from more than 20 countries forming a international joint-venture company. The Eastern Venezuela Basin, the Orinoco Oil Belt is included in, is one of the major oil-bearing sedimentary basins in Venezuela and is first formed as a passive margin basin by the Jurassic tectonic plate motion. The major source rock of heavy oil is the late Cretaceous calcareous shale in the central Eastern Venezuela Basin. Hydrocarbon materials migrated an average of 150 km up dip to the southern margin of the basin. During the migration, lighter fractions in the hydrocarbon were removed by biodegradation and the oil changed into heavy and/or extra heavy oil. Miocene Oficina Formation, the main extra heavy oil reservoir, is the unconsolidated sand and shale alternation formed in fluvial-estuarine environment and also has irregularly a large number of the Cenozoic faults induced by basin subsidence and tectonics. Because Oficina Formation has not only complex lithology distribution but also irregular geology structure, geological evolution and characteristics of the reservoirs have to be determined for economical production well design and effective oil recovery. This study introduces geological formation and evolution of the Venezuela extra heavy oil reservoirs and suggest their significant geological characteristics which are (1) thickness and geometry of reservoir pay sands, (2) continuity and thickness of mud beds, (3) geometry of faults, (4) depth and geothermal character of reservoir, (5) in-situ stress field of reservoir, and (6) chemical composition of extra heavy oil. Newly developed exploration techniques, such as 3-D seismic survey and LWD (logging while drilling), can be expected as powerful methods to recognize the geological reservoir characteristics in the Orinoco Oil Belt.

There is no system to obtain the basic data and proceed data and user input interface is complex, thus there are some limitation to utilize the oil spill prediction model. It is difficult to build the scientific response strategy in order to respond oil spill accident rapidly because it is impossible to operate the oil spill prediction model any time. In this study, the optimum operational system for oil spil prediction model has been developed considering the present system. External real time data has been linked because of impossibility of building all basic data and minimum database has been build in this study. Through this data system, real time oil spill prediction model can be utilized. And the user interface has been designed to reduce the error of the interface between user and model and the output interface has been proposed to analyze the result of modeling at multidimensional aspect. While the system for oil spill prediction model as the result of this study has some uncertainties because of depending on external data, the thing that we can predict oil spill using operate the model rapidly as soon as the accident occurred can be meaning in the response field.

The International Maritime Organization recently proposed a policy to establish a preemptive response strategy for exhaust gas pollution on board ships according to the recent strengthening of the sulfur content regulations. Discussions on improving the fuel oil quality and reducing emissions are also ongoing. Fuel oil quality information, which is one of the main concerns internationally, is increasing as the sulfur content standard is being applied from the current 3.5% to 0.5% by 2020. From the perspective of shipping companies and recipients, the essential quality of fuel oil is also requested for domestic and international fuel oil information, basic properties, correlation information between characteristics for application of solid ships and ships. The current standard for the basic quality of fuel oil is generally used, but the nature and composition of the fuel oil are very complex, and the interpretation of the basic quality is complicated because there are many cases outside the scope of the basic standard. Various factors were analyzed for the basic quality of fuel oil in terms of the basic quality of fuel oil, optimization of operation in ships, and fuel efficiency in ships. Moreover, the possibility of applying the standard according to the dilution was suggested.

Companies are facing challenges to have high competitiveness because of continuous oil price rising and CO2 emissions regulations. Thus, companies are trying hard to construct effective logistics and operation system to achieve high customer service quality and saving cost. Also the ec-friendly idustrial complex is needed. Busan is in process to construct GILC(Global Industry Logistics City) in west Busan province to achieve high competitiveness and support lack of industrial complex. To construct this kind of logistics industrial complex, it needs logistics system through proper policy and freight transportation co-operation. Especially, efficient management through logistics hierarchy construction in industrial complex is very important for low cost and eco-friendly point of view. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze logistics system and suggest operation model to present logistics complex construction base data.
Monodispersed alumina-zirconia fine powders were prepared by controlled hydrolysis of alkoxides. These powders and the sintered bodies were characterized. Aluminium alkoxide and zirconium alkoxide were dissolved into complex solvent with butanol and n-propanol, and by acetonitrile added hydrolytic solution, hydrolysis rate was controlled. The oil, as a dispersant, was added in hydrolytic solution, and then prepared powders were nano-sized and well-monodispersed. In the case of hydroxypropyl celluose (HPC) as a dispersant, it was added in complex solution with butanol and iso-propanol, sub-micrometer sized and well-monodispersed powders could be prepared. The value of relative density (R.D.) and tetragonal phase fraction of zirconia in the sintered body made by nano-meter sized powders were respectively higher than those in the case of sub-micrometer sized one.

The formed tool is used to machine the unique shape of rubber seal for geometrical shaping and reduction of cutting time. The bearing rubber seal produced by hot press forming has complex geometry for the complex geometrical shape to prevent leakage of lubricant oil and influx of the dust effectively. Because it is difficult to machine the unique shape exactly by the conventional tool, the formed tool is used in machining mold of the seal. In this paper, It is performed for selection of the formed tool to investigate cutting edge wear, cutting force, and surface quality. Also, an efficient high precision machining is proposed on the experiment data.
This study was performed to develop analytical methods to better understand the properties and reactivity of petroleum, which is a highly complex organic mixture, using high-resolution mass spectrometry and statistical analysis. Ten crude oil samples were analyzed using negative-mode electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (ESI FT-ICR MS). Clustering methods, including principle component analysis (PCA), hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA), and k-means clustering, were used to comparatively interpret the spectra. All the methods were consistent and showed that oxygen and sulfur-containing heteroatom species played important roles in clustering samples or peaks. The oxygen-containing samples had higher acidity than the other samples, and the clustering results were linked to properties of the crude oils. This study demonstrated that clustering methods provide a simple and effective way to interpret complex petroleomic data.
In general, crankshafts which are used in internal combustion reciprocating engines are subjects to high torsional vibration. Therefore, a damper is often used to minimize the torsional vibration in reciprocating engines. In this paper, in order to investigate damping performance of viscous damper, the real effective viscosity and complex damping coefficient of silicone oil, and the effective inertia moment of inertia ring are calculated considering the relative motion between damper casing and inertia ring. Based on these results multi-cylinder shaft is modeled into equivalent 2-degree of freedom system and optimum condition is estimated by calculating the amplification factor of viscous damper. Also the test damper was manufactured according to the result of theoretical investigation, the performance and durability was ascertained through experimental examination.
