A 54-year-old male farmer residing in Chunchon, Korea. complaining of blood tinged discharge and tinnitus in the left ear for two days. was examined in August 16, 1996. Otoscopic examination revealed live maggots from the ear canal. The patient did not complain of any symptoms after removal of maggots. Five maggots recovered were identified as the third stage larvae of Lucilia sericata (Diptera: Calliphoridae). This is the first record of aural myiasis in Korea.

This study tries to provide fundamental policy information for one-room housing by analyzing current living conditions of one-room housing near a university. For this purpose, this study conducts on-site survey as well as residents' survey. The main findings are follows. First, some one-room houses have been converted from single-family houses. Pilotis are often used as parking lots in newly built one-room houses. There are illegal equipments and illegal parkings around one-room village. Second, residents satisfy with proximity to workplace. However, they show strong dissatisfaction with physical environment such as noise, air flow, waste disposals. In particular, they feel very uncomfortable with gloomy lights and fear about potential crime. Third, residents like their independent lives, but complain about narrow living space and unprotected privacy. In addition, many of them feel lonely due to lack of public space in which residents can communicate.

6 Sigma movement is the quality innovation activity which Motorola, a nineteen eighties' top-ranking American company of electronics and communication, has started to survive the Japanese companies' frightening gami-gaze. In early days, it's just applicated for reducing customers' complain by eliminations inferior goods centering round producing activity and filling up the competitive market's demand for price and delivery deadline. Nowaday, 6 Sigma application has created a boom extending to a company's most activity fields without any exact scrutiny of 6 Sigma. Although 6 Sigma movement starts from the question of what customers want not by cutting off the inferiority rate but by cutting out causes of producing inferior goods, the service industry has a special character that makes it difficult to compute the level of Sigma. Thus this research examines suitability for introduction of 6 Sigma to the Service Industry.

Most of the inhabitants living near power line complain wind noise from power line to be problems they can feel directly if there is no countermeasure to remove noise basically. Wind noise from power line happens by tower, insulators, conductor and others in their operating individually or complexly. Wind noise show us several forms like whistle, siren and bullfrog croaking as height of noise source is high and elastic wave tone with low frequency. This paper shows actual conditions and occurrence cause which may be investigated and analyzed on the wind noise, and also prepares mitigation methods and introduces a working sample to reduce a wind noise.

Buerger's disease is a nonatherosclerogic occlusive inflammatory disease of medium and small arteries, and veins, of unknown cause. It occurs predominantly in young males who are habitual tabacco users. These patients often complain of painful ulcerations of their digits. The care of this disease is very difficult when the treatment is delayed. Consequently, early treatments are most important to patients with Buerger's disease. This disease can be treated with sympathetic block such as stellate ganglion block for upper extremities and lumbar epidural block, and lumbar sympathetic block for lower extremities. Intravascular regional sympathetic block can be another method of treatment. However, discontinuation of smoking is the most basic and essential treatment for Buerger's disease. We treated 43 Buerger's disease patients with stellate ganglion block and laser therapy. The treatment was not effective for three patients who definitely required amputation.

Objective : We got a good effect on one patient who was diagnosed Fibromyalgia. Method : We treated 1 case of Fibromyalgia with acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medication, and iontophoresis. We measured the VAS(Visual Analog Scale) and ROM(Range of motion) of Lumbar. Results : Patient's met complain is low back pain, pain and hemiparesis of night lower limb, and Pantalgia After treatment, most symptoms decreased and ROM, ambulation improved. VAS score changed from 10 to 2 for 52 days. Conclusion : The Fibromyalgia were successfully treated by acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medication, and iontophoresis.

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. The diagnosis of plantar fasciitis is primarily based on the presentation of symptoms and physical examination. Patients usually complain of heel pain at the medial calcaneal tubercle when taking their first step in the morning or when walking after resting. Diagnostic imaging is rarely required for the initial diagnosis of plantar fasciitis; however, it can be used for differential diagnosis. Conservative treatments, such as stretching, rest, ice massage, oral analgesics, foot orthotics, use of night splint, and corticosteroid injection, may be effective. The majority of patients report improvement with conservative treatments, and those who show no response from conservative treatments for a duration of six months or longer can consider extracorporeal shock wave therapy or surgery.

This is 63 cases report of neurotic patient which have gone to Dep. of Neuropsychiatry of Dongshin University sunchun oriental hospital from October, 2002 to October, 2003. Objective : To find out distributional characteristics of neurotic patient Result : 1. The distribution of sex is Female and of age is thirty, fourty is large. 2. The distribution of a history of case is chronic patient is large. 3. The distributional ratio of psychosomatic : musculoskeletal : gastrointestine symptom of chief complain was 48.7: 25.3: 14.9. 4. The distribution of yanghyulansin ondam: soganhaewul gudam : bohyulansin description was 41.3: 15.9: 9.5. Conclusion : This 63 cases report is relatively small cases about analysis and comparison of neurotic patient. So, it's needed to abundant study of this, afterwards.

A gearing system emits inconsistent noises from the impact of gear teeth when defects are present, but it is not easy for a noise inspector on a production line to distinguish defective products objectively. Since customers constantly complain about various noises from geared motors, it is desirable to devise an analytical technique to classify motors. However, it is difficult to separate inconsistent noises due to defective gears from the overall noise produced by a geared motor using a general signal processing method such as a FFT because low frequency impulse signals have a tendency not to appear in the frequency domain. In this paper, we propose a method that can be used to obtain more objective estimates and measurements of inconsistent noises from a gearing system. The proposed method makes use of the cepstrum domain with an applied autocorrelation and comb lifter, followed by a domain inversion.

In mid 1980s, open education arrived in Korea. It was influenced by the educational reforms implemented in American primary schools. Currently, the Ministry of Education is appealing to teachers for their active involvement in educational reform by using open education methodology. Often teachers in Korea complain that they do not know what to do or how to change in order to practice the open education. It is time to review the state of open education in Korea and the United States. This paper contains the following segments: 0) Introduction, 1) Beginning of open education, 2) A brief history of open education in Korea, 3) The current status of open education in the United States, 4) A glance at open mathematics classroom in Korea, 5) Lessons from the review, and 6) Conclusion.
