In this paper, a novel neural network compensation technique for PD like fuzzy controlled robot manipulators is presented. A standard PD-like fuzzy controller is designed and used as a main controller for controlling robot manipulators. A neural network controller is added to the reference trajectories to modify input error space so that the system is robust to any change in system parameter variations. It forms a neural-fuzzy control structure and used to compensate for nonlinear effects. The ultimate goal is same as that of the neuro-fuzzy control structure, but this proposed technique modifies the input error not the fuzzy rules. The proposed scheme is tested to control the position of the 3 degrees-of-freedom rotary robot manipulator. Performances are compared with that of other neural network control structure known as the feedback error learning structure that compensates at the control input level.
A model for calculating structure interacted mechanics is proposed. A structural interaction model and controller design based on tuned mass damping (TMD) was developed to control the induced vibration. A key point is to introduce a new analytical model to evaluate the properties of the TMD that recognizes the motion-dependent nonlinear response observed in the simulations. Aiming at the problem of increased current harmonics and low efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motors for electric vehicles due to dead time effect, a dead time compensation method based on neural network filter and current polarity detection is proposed. Firstly, the DC components and the higher harmonic components of the motor currents are obtained by virtue of what the neural network filters and the extracted harmonic currents are adjusted to the required compensation voltages by virtue of what the neural network filters. Then, the extracted DC components are used for current polarity dead time compensation control to avert the false compensation when currents approach zero. The neural network filter method extracts the required compensation voltages from the speed component and the current polarity detection compensation method obtains the required compensation voltages by discriminating the current polarity. The combination of the two methods can more precisely compensate the dead time effect of the control system to improve the control performance. Furthermore, based on the relaxed method, the intelligent approach of stability criterion can be regulated appropriately and the artificial TMD was found to be effective in reducing cross-wind vibrations.

This paper discusses a gravity compensation technique designed to reduce wavefront error caused by gravity during the assembly and alignment of satellite multi-band optical sensor. For this study, the wavefront error caused by gravity was analyzed for the opto-mechanical structure of multi-band optical sensor. Wavefront error, an indicator of optical performance, was computed by using the displacements of optics calculated through structural analysis and optical sensitivity calculated through optical analysis. Since the calculated wavefront error caused by gravity exceeded the allocated budget, the gravity compensation technique was required. This compensation technique reduces wavefront error effectively by applying the compensation load to the appropriate position of the housing tube. This method successfully meets the wavefront error budget for all bands. In the future, a gravity compensation equipment applying this technique will be manufactured and used for assembly and alignment of multi-band optical sensor.

This paper describes a 12 bit 1GS/s current mode segmented DAC for WCDMA communication. The proposed circuit in this paper employes segmented structure which consists of 4bit binary weighted structure in the LSB and 4bit thermometer decoder structure in the mSB and MSB. The proposed DAC uses delay time compensation circuits in order to suppress performance decline by delay time in segmented structure. The delay time compensation circuit comprises of phase frequency detector, charge pump, and control circuits, so that suppress delay time by binary weighted structure and thermometer decoder structure. The proposed DAC uses CMOS $0.18{\mu}m$ 1-poly 6-metal n-well process, and measured INL/DNL are below ${\pm}0.93LSB/{\pm}0.62LSB$. SFDR is approximately 60dB and SNDR is 51dB at 1MHz input frequency. Single DAC's power consumption is 46.2mW.
Hair style allows consumers to express their aesthetic sense and individual beauty. However, due to the attributes of hairdressing services and the high expectations of consumers, complaints are increasing rapidly. This study examined the complaint behavior, compensation and hair salon patronage of consumers. Then, a model is presented that explains the complaint behavior for hairstyling, forms of compensation, and hair salon patronage through empirical analysis. This study was conducted by a survey method. A total of 399 questionnaires were used for the analysis. The data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical software. The dimension of complaint behavior for hair style included verbal complaints, non-verbal complaints in the salon and private complaints outside the salon. The forms of compensation included re-procedure, psychological, and material compensation. Hair salon patronage was one-dimensional. These results were obtained through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Then the conceptual model was empirically analyzed by covariance structure analysis and obtained in final form through model modification. Verbal complaint behavior positively influenced re-procedure compensation. In addition, non-verbal complaint behavior had positive effects on psychological and material compensation. Hair salon patronage was positively affected by re-procedure and psychological compensation. However, private complaint behavior had a negative effect on hair salon patronage. The direct and indirect effects of the paths among variables were verified by analyzing the mediating effects of different forms of compensations. It is possible to establish differentiated marketing strategies with these findings for consumers with complaint behaviors by considering the forms of compensation.

This study exemines the roles of corporate social activity (CSR) and executive compensation structure on the pricing of seasoned equity offerings (SEOs) with special focus on the role of CSR in reducing the level of information asymmetry between managers and future shareholders of issuing firms through SEOs. This study also investigates the interaction between executive compensation structure and CSR on the discounting of SEOs. We use a sample of 2,102 seasoned equity offerings of U.S. firms with CSR scores from 1995 to 2015 in our OLS fixed effect regression analysis. The results show that issuing firms with high CSR are more likely to expericence a lower degree of the SEO discount. The results also document a positive association between CSR and a high proportion of equity-based compensation of issuing firms' executives. The findings of this paper confirm that CSR attenuates the impact of information asymmetry and the pre-SEO price uncertainty on the pricing of the offers and hence the SEO discount. Furthermore, CSR reinforces the impact of executive firm-related wealth on the discounting of seasoned equity offerings. It appears that firm-related wealth motivates managers to actively engage in reducing information asymmetry activities before SEOs, thereby decreasing the SEO discount.

In this paper, a new discrete static output feedback variable structure controller based on a new dynamic-type sliding surface and output feedback discrete version of the disturbance observer is suggested for the control of uncertain linear systems. The reaching phase is completely removed by introducing a new proposed dynamic-type sliding surface. The output feedback discrete version of disturbance observer is derived for effective compensation of uncertainties and disturbance. A corresponding control with disturbance compensation is selected to guarantee the quasi sliding mode on the predetermined dynamic-type sliding surface for guaranteeing the designed output in the dynamic-type sliding surface from any initial condition for all the parameter variations and disturbances. Using Lyapunov function, the closed loop stability and the existence condition of the quasi sliding mode is proved. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to show the effectiveness of the algorithm.
In this paper, we propose a new control algorithm based on the neural network(NN) feedback compensation with a desired trajectory modification. The proposed algorithm decreases trajectory errors by a feed-forward desired torque combined with a neural network feedback torque component. And, to robustly control the tracking error, we modified the desired trajectory by variable structure concept smoothed by a fuzzy logic. For the numerical simulation, a 2-link robot manipulator model was assumed. To simulate the disturbance due to the modelling uncertainty. As a result of this simulation, the proposed method shows better trajectory tracking performance compared with the CTM and decreases the chattering in control inputs.

In this paper, we propse an object-oriented coding method in low bit-rate channels using pyramid structure and residual image compensation. In the motion estimation step, global motion is estimated using a set of multiresolution images constructed in a pyramid structure. We split an input image into two regions based on the gradient value. Regions with larte motions obtain observation points at low resolution level to guarantee robustness to noise and to satisfy a motion constraint equation whereas regions with local motions such as eye, and lips get observation points at the original resolution level. Local motion variations and intesity variations of an image reconstructed by the golbal motion are compensated additionally by using the previous residual image component. Finally, the model failure (MF) region is compensated by the pyramid mapping of the previous displaced frame difference (DFD). Computer simulation results show that the proposed method gives better performance that the convnetional one in terms of the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), compression ratio (CR), and computational complexity.
