A 8 MA/m-class pulsed field magnetometer has been constructed by composing a pulsed field magnet, a pickup coil, analog integrators, a digital storage oscilloscope and a personal computer. For precision measurements, a 3-axis compensation principle has been applied for the fabrication of pickup coil, and the compensation level of the order of $10^{-6}$ and the sensitivity of $5{\cdot}10^{-7}\;Am^2$ for magnetic moment have been obtained. The high sensitivity of the magnetometer is good enough for measurements of magnetic properties of rare earth magnets in small size or thin films shorter than $3\;mm{\phi}$ in diameter.

In order to meet the harmonics standards such as IEEE 519 and P1547 the output quality of a grid connected inverter should satisfy a certain level of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) value. However, the output quality of an inverter gets degraded due to the grid voltage harmonics, the dead time effects and the nonlinearity of the switches, which all contributes to a higher THD value of the output. In order to meet the required THD value for the inverter output under the distorted grid condition the use of harmonic controller is essential. In this paper a novel feedforward harmonic compensation method is proposed in order to effectively eliminate the low order harmonics in the inverter current to the grid. In the proposed method, unlike the conventional harmonic control methods, the hamonic components are directly compensated by the feedforward terms generated by the PR controller with the grid current in the stationary frame. The proposed method is simple in implementation but powerful in eliminating the harmonics from the output. The effectiveness of proposed method is verified through the PSIM simulation and the experiments with a 5kW single phase grid connected inverter.

Grid-connected inverters (GCIs) based on renewable energy sources play an important role in enhancing the sustainability of a society. Harmonic standards, such as IEEE 519 and P1547, which require the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the output current to be less than 5%, should be satisfied when GCIs are connected to a grid. However, achieving a current THD of less than 5% is difficult for GCIs with an output filter under a distorted grid condition. In this study, a novel harmonic compensation method that uses a digital lock-in amplifier (DLA) is proposed to eliminate harmonics effectively at the output of GCIs. Accurate information regarding harmonics can be obtained due to the outstanding performance of DLA, and such information is used to eliminate harmonics with a simple proportional-integral controller in a feedforward manner. The validity of the proposed method is verified through experiments with a 5 kW single-phase GCI connected to a real grid.

Grid-connected inverters should satisfy a certain level of total harmonic distortion (THD) to meet harmonics standards, such as IEEE 519 and P1547. The output quality of an inverter is typically degraded due to grid voltage harmonics, dead time effects, and the device's turn-on/turn-off delay, which all contribute to increasing the THD value of the output. The use of a harmonic controller is essential to meet the required THD value for inverter output under a distorted grid condition. In this study, an improved feedforward harmonic compensation method is proposed to effectively eliminate low-order harmonics in the inverter current to the grid. In the proposed method, harmonic components are directly compensated through feedforward terms generated by the proportional resonant controller with the grid current in a stationary frame. The proposed method is simple to implement but powerful in eliminating harmonics from the output. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation using PSIM software and experiments with a 5 kW single-phase grid-connected inverter.
The emergence of wide channel bandwidth wireless standards requires the use of a highly linear, wideband integrated CMOS baseband chain with moderate power consumption. In this paper, we present the design of highly linear, wideband active RC filters and a digitally programmable variable gain amplifier. To achieve a high unity gain bandwidth product with moderate power consumption, the feed-forward compensation technique is applied for the design of wideband active RC filters. Measured results from a $0.5{\mu}m$ CMOS prototype baseband chain show a cutoff frequency of 10 MHz, a variable gain range of 33 dB, an in-band IIP3 of 13 dBV, and an input referred noise of 114 ${\mu}Vrms$ while dissipating 20 mW from a 3 V supply.
Based on the spatial and land price data of innovation cities and their periphery areas in Korea, this study examines the degree and timing of changes in land price in relation to projects concerning innovation city. The study result confirms that the current system is inconsistent with the principle of restitution of development gain and therefore, this study attempts to seek improvement measures so that the current system can better fit the principle. The analysis reveals that most innovation cities, excluding Sinseo-dong of Daegu and Ujeong-dong of Ulsan, recorded a statistically significant increase in land prices since 2005, compared to those of their neighboring areas. It can be said that the information related to projects concerning innovation city was reflected in the land price since 2005. However, the standard land price pursuant to Article 70 of the Land Compensation Act is the officially assessed land price released on 1st of January 2007, and this official land price was actually applied to the compensation process. Therefore, estimating the compensation amount for land expropriation based on this land price will contradict the principle of restitution of development gain. In other words, despite the fact that development-related information was already reflected in land prices of innovation cities from 2005 to the end of 2006, the compensation process were carried out without institutional arrangements or efforts to exclude such reflection. To solve this problem, this study makes two suggestions. First, it is necessary to cast aside the limitations of the official land price that can be retroactively applied in accordance with Paragraph 5 of Article 70 of the Land Compensation Act, and instead apply the land price which is the most latest but deemed to have no reflection of development gains. Based on this revised standard land price, if the compensation amount is corrected by the average inflation rate and the average rate of increase in land price during the period until the time of the recognized land price, the amount would better satisfy the principle of restitution of development gain. Second, it is necessary to clearly stipulate the standards of development gains being reflected on the land price by including it in the secondary legislation. Under the current system, it is highly likely that appraiser's arbitrary interpretation on development gains is included in the process of calculating the amount of compensation for land expropriation. In this regard, it is necessary to improve the standards on determining whether development gains are reflected based on the results of this academic research and the existing guidelines for appraisal of compensation for land expropriation published by the Korea Association of Property Appraisers.

In a number of predictive video compression standards, the motion is compensated by the block-based motion compensation (BMC). The effective motion field used for the prediction by the BMC is obviously discontinuous since one motion vector is used for the entire macro-block. The usage of discontinuous motion field for the prediction causes the blocky artifacts and one obvious approach for eliminating such artifacts is to use a smoothed motion field. The optimal procedure will depend on the type of motion within the video. In this paper, several procedures for the motion vectors are considered. For any interpolation or approaches, however, the motion vectors as provided by the block matching algorithm(BMA) are no longer optimal. The optimum motion vectors(still one per macro-block) must minimize the of the displaced frame difference (DFD). We propose a unified algorithm that computes the optimum motion vectors to minimize the of the DFD using a conjugate gradient search. The proposed algorithm has been implemented and tested for the affine transformation based motion compensation (ATMC), the bilinear transformation based motion compensation (BTMC) and our own filtered motion compensation(FMC). The performance of these different approaches will be compared against the BMC.
The traceability maintenance system for the AC voltage and current has been developed at the frequency range of 20 Hz to 100 Hz without using any compensation technique which is used at thermal converter (TC) ac-dc transfer system at low frequencies. The system uses a digital voltmeter (DVM) as a data acquisition system of the input waveform and stored data in memory. The developed algorithm acquires and processes the sampling data to calculate the root mean square (rms) value of the input voltage of DVM which operates at DC 10 V range for better accuracy. The best uncertainty of the AC voltage measurements is $3 {\mu}V/V$ within the frequency range. The best uncertainty of the AC current measurements is better than the $5 {\mu}A/A$ and mainly depend on the current to voltage converter, ac-dc current shunt or Current Transformer (CT), used for the measurement
An equivalent retention has been experimentally observed in thermal field-flow fractionation (ThFFF) for different polymer-solvent systems. It is shown that iso-retention between two sets of polymer-solvent systems can be obtained by adjusting the temperature difference (ΔT) according to the difference in the ratio of ordinary diffusion coefficient to thermal diffusion coefficient. This method uses a compensation of field strength (ΔT) in ThFFF at a fixed condition of cold wall temperature. It is applied for the calculation of molecular weight of polymers based on a calibration run of different standards obtained at an adjusted AT. The polymer standards used in this study are polystyrene (PS), polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), and polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF). Three carrier solvents, tetrahydrofuran (THF), methylethylketone (MEK) and ethylacetate (ETAc) were employed. Though the accuracy in the calculation of molecular weight is dependent on the difference in the slope of log λ vs. log M which is related to Mark-Houwink constant a, it shows reasonable agreement within about 6% of relative error in molecular weight calculation for the polymer-solvent systems having similar a value.

With the opening in construction market, more diversified and internationalized construction culture is imported, but the level of our construction culture and policy is still not met the international standards. For example, there is a difference in the liquidated damages at delay due to the reason of builder imputation during the public construction project comparing the international standards like damages. It may lead to the potential claim. In this study, via comparing and analysis on the relevant international standards and extension expense for terms of work, actual compensation is selected, and improvement of liquidated damages like damages is presented.
