W-CDMA 기지국용 디지털 수신기의 CIC 롤 오프 보상필터 설계 (Design of Cic roll-off Compensation Filter in Digital Receiver For W-CDMA NODE-B)

  • ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) 와 DSP (Digital Signal Processor) 의 성능이 향상됨에 따라 아날로그 방식으로 처리하던 IF(Intermidiate Frequency) 대역의 신호를 디지털 방식으로 처리할 수 있게 되었다. 이를 디지털 라디오 또는 디지털 IF라 하고 이는 SDR (software definied radio) 의 초기단계라 할 수 있다. 디지털 라디오 개념을 수신단에 적용할 경우 오버샘플링에 의한 처리 이득을 얻을 수 있으며, 다중 캐리어방식의 수신단 설계가 가능하다. 디지털 수신기에서는 연산량 이득을 위해 데시메이션이 이루어지며, CIC (Cascaded Integrated Comb) 및 halfbandHalfband 필터 등이 앨리어싱방지 필터로 사용된다. 그런데, CIC 필터는 필연적으로 통과대역 내에서 롤 오프 현상이 발생하며, 이것은 수신단 필터의 통과대역 평탄도를 악화시켜서 수신성능의 저하를 초래한다. FIR 필터를 이용하여 보상해 주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 W-CDMA 디지털 수신기의 수신성능에 최적인 CIC 롤오프 보상 필터를 설계방법을 제시하고, 설계된 필터가 CIC필터의 롤오프 특성을 보상하여 BER(Bit Error Rate)을 최소화시킴을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다. 필터 성능을 검증하였다.

A novel grey TMD control for structures subjected to earthquakes

  • A model for calculating structure interacted mechanics is proposed. A structural interaction model and controller design based on tuned mass damping (TMD) was developed to control the induced vibration. A key point is to introduce a new analytical model to evaluate the properties of the TMD that recognizes the motion-dependent nonlinear response observed in the simulations. Aiming at the problem of increased current harmonics and low efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motors for electric vehicles due to dead time effect, a dead time compensation method based on neural network filter and current polarity detection is proposed. Firstly, the DC components and the higher harmonic components of the motor currents are obtained by virtue of what the neural network filters and the extracted harmonic currents are adjusted to the required compensation voltages by virtue of what the neural network filters. Then, the extracted DC components are used for current polarity dead time compensation control to avert the false compensation when currents approach zero. The neural network filter method extracts the required compensation voltages from the speed component and the current polarity detection compensation method obtains the required compensation voltages by discriminating the current polarity. The combination of the two methods can more precisely compensate the dead time effect of the control system to improve the control performance. Furthermore, based on the relaxed method, the intelligent approach of stability criterion can be regulated appropriately and the artificial TMD was found to be effective in reducing cross-wind vibrations.

움직임 보상의 신뢰도에 기반 한 순차주사화 알고리즘 (De-interlacing Algorithm based on Motion Compensation Reliability)

  • 본 논문에서는 움직임 보상 결과의 신뢰도를 바탕으로 움직임 보상 순차주사화 알고리즘의 결과와 움직임 보상 수직-시간 필터의 결과를 결합하는 순차주사화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 움직임 보상 순차주사화 알고리즘은 높은 공간 해상도를 가진 고화질 영상을 생성하지만 움직임 벡터가 잘못 추정되었을 경우 눈에 띄는 에러를 발생시킨다. 반면에 움직임 보상 수직-시간 필터는 높은 공간 해상도를 제공하지는 못하지만 움직임 벡터의 에러에 강건한 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 전체적으로 자연스러운 영상을 제공한다. 제안하는 순차주사화 알고리즘은 추정된 움직임 벡터와 움직임 보상 순차주사화 알고리즘의 결과를 분석하여 움직임 보상의 신뢰도를 추정한 후, 움직임 보상 신뢰도에 기반 한 가중치를 바탕으로 두 가지 방법의 장점을 결합한다. 제안된 방법은 움직임 보상의 신뢰도가 높은 영역에서는 높은 공간 해상도를 제공하는 움직임 보상 순차주사화 알고리즘을 적용하고 움직임 보상의 신뢰도가 낮은 영역에 대해서는 움직임 보상 수직-시간 필터를 적용하여 눈에 띄는 에러 없이 높은 공간 해상도를 가지는 영상을 생성한다. 실험 결과에서는 제안된 알고리즘이 기존의 알고리즘에 비해 시각적 및 수치적인 면에서 뛰어난 결과를 보임을 확인할 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a novel active common-mode EMI filter for the PWM inverter application. The proposed filter is based on the current sensing and compensation circuit and it utilizes a fast transistor amplifier for the current compensation. The amplifier utilizes an isolated low-voltage dc power supply for its biasing and it is possible to construct the active filter independent of the source voltage of the equipment. Thus the proposed active filter can be used in any application regardless of its working voltage. The effectiveness of the proposed circuit is verified by experimental results.

  • This paper deals with the novel control algorithm of single-phase hybrid active power filter for the compensation of harmonic current components in nonlinear R-L load with passive active power filters. To construct two-axes coordinate, an imaginary second phase was made by giving time delay to line current. In this proposed method, the new signal, which was the delayed through the filtering by the phase-delay property of low-pass filter, is used as the secondary phase. Because two phases have different phase, instantaneous calculation of harmonic current is possible. In this paper, a reference voltage is created by multiplying gain of filter by compensation current using the rotating reference frames that synchronizes with source-frequency, not applying to instantaneous reactive power theory which has been used with the existing fixed reference frames. This paper shows the experimental results, which provide a high accuracy and extremely fast response of single-phase hybrid active Bower filter under the operation with the proposed control method.

  • This paper presents a control algorithm for a 3-phase 4-wire series active Power filter. This control algorithm compensates harmonics, input power factor and neutral line currents which are generated by balanced or unbalanced nonlinear loads. The advantage of this control algorithm is direct extraction of compensation voltage references. Therefore, the calculation time is shortened and the performance of the series active power filter is improved. The compensation principle of the proposed control algorithm is presented in detail. A 3KVA laboratory prototype of the three-phase four-wire series active power filter was built and experiments have been carried out. Experimental results are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

  • GPS가 가지는 특징과 비선형, 비가우시안의 시스템에서도 강인한 특성을 지닌 파티클 필터(PF, Particle Filter)를 이용하여 위치 추정 성능을 향상시키는 방법에 대해 제안한다. 그리고 제안한 알고리즘으로 보정한 GPS 데이터와 관성센서를 저가형 시스템에 적합한 약결합 방식을 이용하여 결합하였으며 정확도 향상을 위해 자세에 관한 칼만필터를 추가시켜 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템의 성능확인을 위해 NovAtel사의 고정밀 GPS와 비교 분석하였다.

  • A new kind of resonant impedance type hybrid active filter (RITHAF) is proposed for dynamic harmonic current suppression and high capacity reactive compensation in medium and high voltage systems. This paper analyzed the different performance of the RITHAF when the active part of the RITHAF is controlled as a current source and as a voltage source, respectively. The harmonic suppression function is defined in this paper. The influences of the changes caused by the grid impedance and the detuning of the passive power filter on the compensating characteristics of the RITHAF are studied by analyzing the suppression function. Simulation and industrial application results show that the RITHAF has excellent performances in harmonic suppression and reactive compensation, which is suitable for medium and high voltage systems.

  • A development of a new moving obstacle avoidance algorithm using a delay-time Compensation for a network-based autonomous mobile robot is proposed in this paper. The moving obstacle avoidance algorithm is based on a Kalman filter through moving obstacle estimation and a Bezier curve for path generation. And, the network-based mobile robot, that is a unified system composed of distributed environmental sensors, mobile actuators, and controller, is compensated by a network delay compensation algorithm for degradation performance by network delay. The network delay compensation method by a sensor fusion using the Kalman filter is proposed for the localization of the robot to compensate both the delay of readings of an odometry and the delay of reading of environmental sensors. Through some simulation tests, the performance enhancement of the proposed algorithm in the viewpoint of efficient path generation and accurate goal point is shown here.
