  • The heterogeneous emergency communication radios is used at disaster management agencies of Korea to response activity in the event of disaster. The compensation method by communication connection time difference is necessary to seamless voice communication because radios have different communication method and delay. In this paper, we suggested solution for voice transmission chance and data loss problem.

Induction Motor Position Control Using Integral-Compensating Variable Structure Control Algorithm (적분보상형 가변구조제어기법을 이용한 유도 전동기 위치제어)

  • This paper proposes a variable structure position controller for an induction motor(IM) which uses a reaching law and an integral compensating nonlinear switching function. With the integral compensating nonlinear switching function, both very low overshoot and high steady state control accuracy can be obtained by compensating the states chattering problem due to the unmodelled dynamics of inverter and feedback sensors. With the reaching law, reaching mode can be established quantitatively during transient state so that dynamic control performance is improved. For experiment a digital servo driver which consists of a DSP and an IPM inverter was developed. With the various experimental results, IM position control performance was verified.

Design of Continuous Variable Structure Tracking Controller With Prescribed Performance for Brushless Direct Drive Drive Servo Motor

  • A continuous, accurate, and robust variable structure tracking controller(CVSTC) is designed for brushless direct drive servo motors(BLDDSM). Although conventional variable structure controls can give the desired tracking performances, there exists an inevitable chattering problems in control input which is undesirable for direct drive systems. With the presented algorithm, not only the chattering problems are removed by using the efficient compensation of the disturbance observer, but also the prescribed tracking trajectory can be obtained using the sliding dynamics when an initial of the desired trajcetory is different from that of a BLDDSM. The design of the sliding mode tracking controller for the prescribed, accurate, and robust tracking performance without the chattering problem is given based on the results of the detailed stability analysis. The usefulness of the suggested algorithm is demonstrated through the computer simulation for a BLDDSM under load variations.

  • In this paper, a maximum efficiency control technique of real-time processing in which parameter variation is compensated in vector control of an induction motors(I.M.) is proposed. Based on equivalent model of I.M., a loss minimization factor(LMF) with the variations of speed is derived. To solve problem of inaccuracy of LMF curves due to machine parameter variation, rotor resistance estimation is performed by using instantaneous reactive power. The estimated rotor resistance values are applied to the maximum efficiency control with a LMF.

  • In this paper, we develop intelligent digitally redesigned PAM and PWM fuzzy controllers for nonlinear systems. Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is used to model the nonlinear systems and a continuous-time fuzzy-model-based controller is designed based on the extended parallel-distributed-compensation method. The digital controllers are determined from existing analogue controllers. The proposed method provides an accurate and effective method for digital control of continuous·time nonlinear systems and enables us to efficiently implement a digital controller via pre-determined continuous-time TS fuzzy-model-based controller. We have applied the proposed method to the balancing problem of the inverted pendulum to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the method.

  • In this paper, the design of the in-motion alignment system of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System(SDINS) using Robust Extended Kalman Filter(REKF) is presented. The compensation of errors in the aided navigation system is accomplished by the indirect feedback filtering. The performance of the aided navigation algorithm is very sensitive to the accuracy of the initial estimate, which is the characteristic of the EKF. Unfortunately, the initial attitude error can be very large during the in-motion alignment.   • This paper places great importance on performance improvement of Galvanometer system used for laser display, laser processing, marking system. Fundamentally, we implement control system, on that assumption that laser source exists, and design basic PID controller. Hardware is composed of DSP(TMS320C32) chip, and the position compensation of Galvanometer is performed by using 16-bit A/D and D/A converter. Through frequency response analysis and simulation, the attribute of plant and controller is captured and then, total system is analyzed. We deliberate noise problem that can be caused from analog signal as driving signal for Galvanometer.

  • The objective of this paper is to present a controller-design method that can guarantee the global stability for nonlinear systems described by takagi-sugeno fuzzy models, and to apply the method to a typical nonlinear control problem. The presented method gives us a compensated fuzzy controller through the following major steps: First, if each local linear model of a given takagi-sugeno fuzzy system does not have the same input matrix, the method expands the system into the one with a method finds a takagi-sugeno fuzzy controller guaranteeing the global stability of the closed loop via solving relevant linear matrix inequalities. Compared to the conventional PDC (paralled distributed compensation) technique, the presented method has an advantage that trial-and-errors to check the global stability are not necessary. An illustrative simulation on the control of inverted pendulum is performed to demonstrate the applicability of the presented method, and its results show that a controller satisfying the global stability and robustness can be obtained by the method.

  • For a reasonable analysis of grade efficiency of cyclone separator, in-line measurements of particle size and particle concentration are needed. The purpose of this study is to define the correlation of measurement data and to measure grade efficiency and pressure drop. The authors adapted that the grade efficiency could be calculated directly from the counted particle numbers. The problem of collection efficiency calculation was different from counting rate of aerosol counters under the same conditions. It is important factor to use the rate of the particle counters to obtain reliable results. Therefore, the authors should use and calculate compensation factor considering sensitivity of aerosol counters, gas velocity and concentration affect higher 30% than originally measured grade efficiency. As the pressure drop and grade efficiency increase, as flow rate increase and then also pressure drop and grade efficiency increase.

  • Recently, the Rapid Prototyping System makes used of changing file format. The most problem is produced by this process. It is influenced by the precision of shape manufacturing. And It is most influenced by shrinkage rate within many elements influence the precision of 3D shape manufacturing. In result, the length strain in each axis cause at STL file transforming. It will compensate for utilizing the shrinkage rate.
