Considering the problems of poor control effect, weak disturbance rejection ability and adaptive ability of two-wheeled self-balanced robot (TWSBR) systems on undulating roads, this paper proposes a fuzzy neural network active disturbance rejection controller (FNNADRC), that is based on fuzzy neural network (FNN) for online correction of active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC)'s nonlinear control rate. Firstly, the dynamic model of the TWSBR is established and decoupled, the extended state observer (ESO) is used to compensate dynamically and linearize the upright and displacement subsystems. Then, the nonlinear PD control rate and FNN are designed, and the FNN is used to modify the control parameters of the nonlinear PD control rate in real time. Finally, the proposed control strategy is simulated and compared with the traditional ADRC and fuzzy active disturbance rejection controller (FADRC). The simulation results show that the control effect of the proposed control strategy is slightly better than ADRC and FADRC.
This paper presents the 3-phase hybrid series active power filter with dynamic voltage restorer(DVR) which serve as an energy buffer and current harmonics blocking resistor connected to sensitive loads, such as, to compensate voltage dips and current harmonics in power distribution system. The DVR is to inject a dynamically controlled voltage generated by a forced commutated converter in series to the bus voltage by means of a booster transformer. The momentary amplitudes of the three injected phase voltages are controlled such as to eliminate any detrimental effects of a bus fault to the load voltage. The proposed system is able to simultaneously compensate current harmonics, voltage fluctuating and voltage unbalance in power distribution systems. The reference phase angle detected by synchronized with the positive sequence component of the unbalanced source by using symmetrical component transformation. The effectiveness of proposed system is verified by the computer simulation.
This paper proposes an optimal ARS control of a two-wheel mobile inverted pendulum robot. Conventional researches are highly concentrated on the robust control of a mobile inverted pendulum on the flat ground, $i.e.$, mostly focus on the compensation of gyroscope signals. This newly proposed algorithm deals with a climbing control of a slanted surface based on the dynamic modeling using the conventional structure. During the climbing control of the robot, unexpected disturbance forces are essentially caused by the irregular contact force which comes from the irregular contact angle between the wheel and the terrain. The disturbances have effects on the optimal posture of the mobile robot to compensate the slanted angle. Therefore the dynamics equations through physical interpretation are derived for the selection of optimum climbing posture through ARS. Also using the ultrasonic sensor the slope information is obtained to compensate for the force of gravity. The control inputs are dynamically adjusted to climb up the slanted surface effectively. The proposed algorithm is demonstrated through the real experiments.

We present an average method based on the multirate signal processing and dynamic allocation average for the purpose of monitoring event-related potentials(ERP) and continuously and dynamically. In the proposed method, first, latency shifts are detected through the cross correlation between a current response and the reference response. Then, the multirate signal processing which is composed of up-sampler, lowpass filter, and down sampler is performed to compensate the latency shifts of the reference response, therefore we obtain the reference response with a peak latencies compenated by those of a current response. Finally, the single response is obtained by averaging the compensated reference response and a current response. In the simulation, the results of quantitative evaluation by simulation and the results using linical data are presented. From the result, the proposed method reflects dynamic time-varying ERP more exactly than previous methods and is also effective in consecutive monitoring of ERP.

This paper deal with development of on-line type voltage sag compensation system using supercapacitor EDLC to solve the voltage sag problems which are considered to be dominant disturbances affecting the power quality. With the wide use of semiconductor devices in electrical equipment, modem-type loads are becoming increasingly sensitive to the voltage sags and the disturbances prove to be costly to industries. Supercapacitor EDLC is employed to compensate dynamically for the voltage sag of system with sensitive loads. This capacitor has higher energy density than the electrolytic capacitor. Also, this capacitor has a lot of advantage such as no maintenance, longer life cycle and faster charge-discharge time than the battery system. Therefore, in this paper, the energy design scheme of supercapacitor and the configuration technique of on-line type voltage sag compensation systems are newly introduced. According to the results of experimental of prototype 5[kVA] system, it is verified that the developed system has effectiveness of voltage sag compensation by using a supercapacitor EDLC.

Radio Frequency (RF) signal fluctuates dynamically in wireless communication environments, where this fluctuation is severe especially in vehicular environments. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is critical in wireless communications to establish reliable communication links and compensate the received signal fluctuation. In this paper, we introduce a simple and novel AGC scheme which uses both Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and analog-to digital converter (ADC) signals. Performance enhancement of the proposed AGC scheme is verified with practical measurements including simulations.

In this paper, we present a method to improve the torque characteristic of PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) and its hardware realization. It is based on the compensation of sinusoidal current delay caused by phase winding inductances. Since coordinate transformation is not used, simple hard-wired logic in the controller design is adopted and this scheme can eliminates the delay through the coordinate transformation. The delay components are varied according to rotation speeds, but this method can also make it possible to compensate those, dynamically. The control scheme has been verified by experiments on a 4-pole 3-phase PMSM, and the generated torques are increased at whole operation speed ranges.
EWMA is one of the most popular controller method used in Run-to-Run control system for semiconductor manufacturing. The value of the control parameter in EWMA has major effect on the result. Therefore, it is important to use control parameter value fitting for the process state. When the process is unstable, it is more efficient to change EWMA control parameter dynamically to compensate for the changing process state than using fixed control parameter. In this paper, we review previous studies using dynamic EWMA control parameter and propose a new algorithm complementing the weaknesses of the previous studies. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated using simulation.
Harmonic current mitigation is vital in power distribution networks owing to the inflow of nonlinear loads, distributed generation, and renewable energy sources. The active power filter (APF) is the current electrical equipment that can dynamically compensate for harmonic distortion and eliminate asymmetrical loads. The compensation performance of an APF largely depends on the control strategy applied to the voltage source inverter (VSI). Model predictive control (MPC) has been demonstrated to be one of the effective control approaches to providing fast dynamic responses. This approach covers different types of power converters due to its several advantages, such as flexible control scheme and simple inclusion of nonlinearities and constraints within the controller design. In this study, a finite control set-MPC technique is proposed for the control of VSIs. Unlike conventional control methods, the proposed technique uses a discrete time model of the shunt APF to predict the future behavior of harmonic currents and determine the cost function so as to optimize current errors through the selection of appropriate switching states. The viability of this strategy in terms of harmonic mitigation is verified in MATLAB/Simulink. Experimental results show that MPC performs well in terms of reduced total harmonic distortion and is effective in APFs.

as the smartphone industry developed, the smartphone's internal hardware devices have become high-end devices and it requires more power consumption than the previous one. therefore a battery of high capacity needed, but there is a limit in order to equip a large battery on account of smartphone minimization. The Linux Kernel provides the DVFS Mechanism to compensate for these limitations by software techniques. DVFS is dynamically adjust the frequency of the CPU to reduce the power consumption of the CPU. ondemand governor, the default policy in DVFS, apply the maximum frequency of the CPU whenever exceeding the up_threshold. so it result in a waste of CPU resources. by paying attention to this point, this paper propose the mechanism that maintain a high CPU utilization in proportion to the current frequency of the cpu to prevent the waste of CPU resources and conserve energy.
