PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of a vestibular stimulation training program on the walking ability of chronic stroke patients over a six month period. METHODS: Forty stroke patients were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided randomly into a control group (n=20) and experimental group (n=20). A general exercise program was applied to Group I and vestibular stimulation training was applied to Group II(30 min, three times a week for six weeks). The changes in straight walking ability, curved walking ability, and functional walking ability were measured using a 10 m walking test figure-of-eight-walking test, and dynamic gait index, respectively. The measures before and after the program were compared using a paired t-test for a comparison of each group and an independent t-test for a comparison between groups. RESULTS: The changes in each group were examined according to the measurement period. The Experimental group showed significant functional improvement in all three tests after the vestibular stimulation training program, but the control group did not show significant improvement in any of the tests after the general exercise program. A comparison of the changes between groups revealed the experimental group to show significantly higher improvement than the control group in all tests. CONCLUSION: The vestibular stimulation training program helps improve the gait function of stroke patients. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that various vestibular stimulation training programs will be developed and applied in a range of places.

This paper deals with the lightning test methods on aircraft. It shows lightning current and voltage test waveforms referred to SAE ARP 5412. According to this standard, to test lightning effects, mixes appropriately 5 waves for current and 4 waves for voltage depend on structure and comparison information.

In case of sensory evaluation with multi-samples and long-period, in spite of using method with good sensitivity, quality differences among samples could net be detected well because of panel's fatigue and tiredness. So new method to reduce panel's sense of psychological and physiological responsibility, "Trio Paired Comparison", is designed, and New Modified Scheffe's Method 2 as the statistical method for a test of "Trio Paired Comparison" is proposed. And also in this paper problems and countermeasures in applicating "Trio Paired Comparison" are considered.

This paper presents the comparison of climatic environmental tests of IEC Pub. 60068 and MIL-STD-810. Cold, dry heat, change of temperature, and heat-humidity cyclic tests are compared in terms of the types of tests and test severities. This study shows the difference between the standards, which will provide the useful information to the industries and be helpful in applying the standards.

For the traceability of high current measuring sensors of high power testing department II(HPTD II) in Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute(KERI), additional comparison tests with reference test object were performed repeatedly. The first intercomparison has been carried out between the reference shunt for Asia and high current shunt of HPTD II in 2013. This paper compares the test results of the calibration in 2014 with them in 2015. The assigned new scale factor of high current sensors will be applied to high power tests in HPTD II until the next high current intercomparison.

Robustness rates for repeated measures pairwise multiple comparison procedures were investigated in a split plot design with one between- and one within-subjects factor using untrimmed and trimmed data. Five factors were manipulated in the study: distribution, sphericity, variance-covariance heteroscedasticity, total sample size, and sample size ratio. The Welsch test (W) and the Welsch test on trimmed data $(W_{RT})$ performed better than the other procedures, but had a liberal tendency. The trimmed difference score Bonferroni Procedure $(B_{DT})$ was a good choice in some conditions.

Software testing cost can be reduced if the process of testing is automated. However, the test data generation task is still performed mostly by hand although numerous theoretical works have been proposed to automate the process of generating test data and even commercial test data generators appeared on the market. Despite prolific research reports, few attempts have been made to evaluate and characterize those techniques. Therefore, a lot of works have been proposed to automate the process of generating test data. However, there is no overall evaluation and comparison of these techniques. Evaluation and comparison of existing techniques are useful for choosing appropriate approaches for particular applications, and also provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of current methods. This paper conducts experiments on four representative test data generation techniques and discusses the experimental results. The results of the experiments show that the genetic algorithm (GA)-based test data generation performs the best. However, there are still some weaknesses in the GA-based method. Therefore, we modify the standard GA-based method to cope with these weaknesses. The experiments are carried out to compare the standard GA-based method and two modified versions of the GA-based method.

Purpose: To Perform a randomized comparative study investigating the effects of Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercise(PME) and Magnetic Stimulation Therapy(MST) and to identified the problems in each of PME & MST Method: Forty-nine patients with mild stress incontinence were randomly assigned to either of two treatment groups (24 patients in the PME group and 25 in the MST group). The PME group had a video exercising program for 40 times every day during 6 weeks. The MST group was treated with BioCon-2000TM, 2times/ week for six weeks. Pre-test and post-test were performed by Prineometer, 1-hour pad test. and Jackson's BFLUTS questionnaire of Jackson. Collected data were analysed using SAS 9.1 by frequency, Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z. Chi Square-test, t-test, Fisher Exact probability test, Paired t-test, and Wilcoxon's rank sum test. Results: In comparison between before and after PME and MST, statistically significant difference was observed in maximal vaginal pressure, duration of vaginal contraction, amount of urine, and symptom of urination. In the comparison of the effectiveness between PME & MST, only the maximal of vaginal pressure (Z=2.58, p= .010) was significantly different. Conclusion: The factor more effective in the MST group than in the PME group was high compliance.
