  • The paper is a comparative study of the 9th -century Chinese, Korean and Japanese ships. It discusses the professional level of ship-bulding, the functions of ships, the routes of the ships, and the economic and cultural exchanges between China and Korea. In addition, it also introduces the history of the Xinluos living in China focuses on the distinction between Xinluo Guan, Xinluo Suo and Xinluo Fang, which is often confused in the Chinese, Korean and Japanese academic world.

A Comparative Study on the Export Potential of the Digital Service Trade between China and Korea: Based on RCEP Country Data

  • Purpose - The digital service trade has become an important driver of the global service trade. The main purpose of this study is to explore the influencing factors of digital service exports from China and Korea to RCEP sample countries respectively, and to comprehensively study the export potential of China and Korea to RCEP countries, so as to provide theoretical guidance and a decision-making reference to promote digital service trade exports and digital economy development in China and Korea. Design/methodology - First, the stochastic frontier gravity model was improved by introducing nonefficiency factors affecting digital services trade, extending the gravity model of traditional services trade exports to digital services trade exports. Secondly, the panel data of China and Korea for the eight sample countries of RCEP from 2011 to 2021 were adopted for the empirical analysis of digital service export potential by a stochastic frontier model. Findings - China's economic growth plays a role in increasing China's digital service trade exports, while Korea's economic growth does not play a significant role in increasing Korea's digital service trade exports. However, the economic growth of trading partner countries can play a significant role in boosting the digital service trade in both China and Korea, and comparison shows that Korea has higher resilience in the digital services trade than China. In addition, the market size of target countries plays a positive role in promoting the digital service trade exports of both China and Korea, and the increase in the value-added share of services in target countries will lead to a decrease in the digital service trade exports of both China and Korea. Originality/value - This study is innovative in terms of research perspective and method. Academic research on the export potential of international trade has been extensive, but most studies are based on the perspective of the goods trade, fewer studies are based on the perspective of the service trade, and there are almost no studies based on the perspective of digital service trade. There is a gap based on the comparative analysis of the export potential of the digital service trade between China and Korea. This study extends the gravitational model of traditional service trade exports to digital service trade exports to comparatively analyze the export potential of China and Korea to RCEP countries. This study addresses this limitation by analyzing a comparative analysis of the digital service trade export potential of China and Korea.

A Study of the Effects of Learner Characteristics on the Self-Regulated Learning Ability: A Comparison of Korea and China

  • The purpose of the study is to report differences in the effects of learner characteristics on the self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities between Chinese and Korean distance learners by using a structured SRL scale. A standardized 54-item self-regulated learning scale (SRAS) was used. The reliability was tested both in China and Korea which showed the scale had good reliability. The comparative study were conducted by administering the SRAS on 1999 Chinese distance learners from the Open Distance Education Center of Beijing Normal University and 1941 Korean distance learners from H Cyber University. Data on four dimensions of SRL - planning, control, regulating, and evaluation - were analyzed using 't-test' and 'ANOVA' with regards to the learner characteristics such as gender, age, prior education level, semesters, location and major. Results indicated that the average participant had an above medium level of SRL ability in all of the four dimensions. There were significant differences in the self-regulated learning ability between Chinese and Korean distance learners. Chinese distance learners scored higher in SRAS than Korean distance learners. The effects of learner characteristics on the SRL ability showed different patterns in the two countries. As for gender, male learners scored better in SRL than female learners in China, whereas it was just the opposite in Korea. No age differences were found in China, but Korean data exhibited a consistent age effect in all dimensions. In Korea, the age group older than 46 scored the highest, followed by the group between 35 to 45 years old, the group between 26 to 35 years old and the group younger than 25. As for location, Korean distance students from metropolitan were better than those from other regions, whereas it was on the contrary in China, albeit the location effect was not statistically significant. Prior education level had a clear and consistent effect on the SRL ability in both countries: the distance learners from junior colleges had better planning, regulating and evaluating abilities than those who came from senior high schools. These results have been discussed in various contexts of distance/online education as well as in relation to different culture between China and Korea. The results will also have implications for designing distance and online learning generally.

한·중 정보통신기기 산업의 무역구조 분석 (A Study on the Trade Structure in Korea-China Info-Communication Equipment Industry)

  • 본 연구에서는 한 중 IT산업의 기업 및 경쟁력 분석, 수출입구조를 통해 전반적인 무역의 흐름을 알아보고 정보통신기기 분야인 통신기기, 정보기기, 방송기기, 부품 등 4개 분야에 대해 무역집중도(Trade Intensity), 현시비교우위지수(Revealed Comparative Advantage), Grubel-Lloyd 지수, 불변시장점유율(Constant Market Share) 등으로 한 중 무역구조를 분석하였는데 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국은 2004년 이후 3개 기업이 글로벌 500대 기업 리스트에 등재되어 왔으나 중국기업들이 평균 2.25개로 한국을 바짝 쫓아오는 상황에 직면해 있다. 둘째, 무역집중도 지수 분석결과 2002년보다 2007년에 4.57% 증가하여 한 중 간 통신기기에 관한 교역의 긴밀도가 높아지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 현시비교우위지수(Revealed Comparative Advantage)와 Grubel-Lloyd 지수의 분석결과 한국 정보통신기기는 비교열위에 있지만 수출입 구조에서는 흑자를 내고 있다. 넷째, 최근 들어 중국 수입시장에서 상당수 정보통신기기 제품의 시장점유율은 경쟁력과 상품공급구조의 변동으로 시장점유율이 하락하였다. 현재 한 중 정보통신기기 분야의 무역구조 변화와 중국수입시장에서 시장점유율 하락의 어려움을 국내 IT산업이 한 단계 도약할 수 있는 계기로 삼아야 할 것이다.

한.중 국제중재제도의 비교와 시사점 (The Comparisons on the International Arbitration Systems between Korea and China)

  • The rapid growth of Korea-China trade that was since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, led China to surpass the United States and Japan to become Korea's largest trading partner in 2009. "The largest trade" also means "the most disputes", so it is essential to study on dispute settlement and enforcement system of the two. Therefore, in order to make the traders correctly understand and use the arbitration as a dispute settlement method in both China and Korea, this article makes a comparative study on arbitration system between the two countries. And finally, it analyzes the enforcement situation of arbitral award in China, then provides the author's personal recommendations as a countermeasure against the poor enforcement system in China.

한국과 중국의 BIM 수용영향요인 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis of BIM Acceptance Factors between Korea and China)

  • 중국건설업에서는 BIM (Building Information Modeling)의 활용을 통해 건설업의 비효율적인 상호운용성의 문제를 해결하여 건설업의 총생산액 증가시키고자 한다. 하지만 중국 주건부에서 2011년부터 건설업의 BIM활용을 촉진하였음에도 불구하고 중국에서는 BIM 활용률은 45% 미만인 것으로 나타났다. 한편 한국 건설업은 중국보다 먼저 BIM 도입을 하여 활용하고 있는 만큼, BIM 활용수준과 BIM 수용의지가 중국보다 높을 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국과 중국의 BIM수용영향요인 비교분석을 통해 중국의 BIM 활용률을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 한국과 중국의 BIM수용영향요인 비교분석을 위해 기술수용이론(Technology Acceptance Model; TAM)과 BIM 수용모델 관련 선행연구고찰을 통해 BIM 수용영향요인을 분류하고, 중국의 국가적 특성과 중국건설업만이 가진 특성을 반영한 BIM 수용영향요인을 추가하여 실제 BIM 사용자인 한국과 중국 건설사업 참여주체(시공사, 설계사, CM)를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 통계값을 유의미한 차이를 알아보기 위해 SPSS 22.00을 활용하여 t-test 실시하였다. 마지막으로 t-test 결과를 기반으로 중국의 BIM 활용률을 향상시킬 수 있는 개선방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 중국 건설업에 적합한 BIM 활용 활성화 방향을 제시하고, 중국 건설업의 BIM 활용 활성화 연구의 이론적 기초를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

대학홍보영상 정보성의 한·중 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study between Korea and China on the Informativity of University Promotional Videos)

  • 대학 간 경쟁이 치열해지고 멀티미디어의 다양화 및 급속한 발전으로 대학홍보영상은 대학들이 더 좋은 브랜드 이미지를 심어주고 경쟁력을 높이며 신입생을 더 많이 유치할 수 있는 효과적인 수단 중 하나가 되었다. 광고홍보영역에서 대학홍보영상에 관한 연구가 많이 없고, 한국과 중국의 대학홍보영상에 관한 비교연구도 없었다. 이에 따라서 본 연구는 2021 QS(World University Rankings) 세계대학평가기관에서 발표한 세계 대학교 순위명단을 참고하여 한국과 중국의 상위 30개 대학의 홍보영상을 분석하고 두 국가 간 어떠한 차이점이 나타나는지 모색해 보고자 한다. 연구결과에 따라 한국과 중국의 대학홍보영상은 각 분석유목에서 일부 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 한국과 중국의 대학홍보영상의 차이점을 제시하면서 향후 학교홍보영상의 제작에 참고가 된다는 점에 의의가 있다.

한.중 어업협정 이후 한.중수산업의 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Changing of the Korea-China Fisheries After the New Korea-China Fisheries Agreement)

  • This study is aimed to investigate how the structure of Korean and Chinese fisheries has been changed since the Fisheries Agreement between Korea and China came into effect. This investigation was accomplished from a comparative point of view by using statistic data in the literatures published by both Korea and China. Results of this study are summarized as follows; First, it was revealed that the decreasing rate of fish production of marine capture fisheries in Korea was lowered more by 5.1%, while it was decreased by only 0.1% in China. Second, comparative results on changes in production of offshore fisheries showed that the production of Korean offshore fisheries in 2003 was reduced by 26% compared to that in 1999, while the production of China offshore fisheries was decreased by 22%. In addition, although the production of marine capture fisheries in the East region of China was reduced by 10%, on the contrary, the production of marine capture fisheries in Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Fujian that have mostly impacted by the Korea-China Fisheries Agreement was increased by 7%. Third, results on fishing capacity of marine fisheries indicated that the number of vessels and total horse power in Korea were increased by 1.2% and 44.9%, respectively, while total tonnage was reduced by 23.9%, For China, the number of vessels and total horse power were increased by 0.5% and 12.6%, respectively. Total tonnage was also increased by 11.7%. Finally, the production per Korean vessel was decreased by 17.8% in 2003 compared to that in 1999. On the contrary, the production per Chinese vessel was increased by 8.1% in 2003. The production per tonnage was increased by 3.2% in Korea, while it was reduced by 2.7% in China. In conclusion, it could be said that the Korea-China Fisheries Agreement has had a positive impact on the fisheries production of China, while it has had a negative impacts on that of Korea, relatively.

Comparative Study of Korean and Chinese University Students' Economics and Business Literacy

  • Purpose - This study attempts a multifaceted analysis utilizing the Chinese test takers' results of the Economy & Business Aptitude Test. Since Chinese students study socialist theories of economics along with market-based ones, comparing Chinese university students' basic knowledge of economics and business and its application to those of Korean test takers is also very meaningful from the perspective of economics education research. Research design, data, and methodology - This study investigates the results on the test of economy and business understanding between Korea and China. For comparison of the result, we conducted MK-TEST for two universities in China. Result - This study finds that the average correct answer rate of Korea is higher than one of China according to the overall results. The average difference rate is about 15% between Korea and China. More concretely, the correct answer rate of business area is higher than one of economy area, identifying them by subject area. Conclusion - According to the results, this study can infer that there are no or little differences in the ability of examinee to solve applied questions between Korea and China and the differences of the scope and emphasis point in an academic curriculum between both countries might bring these kinds of results. Finally, Chinese students shows higher correct answer rate to the questions about the economy issues and policies related to China than one of Korea examinee.
