This study was to examine the correlations between parenting styles, Chinese high school students' character strengths, and their school adjustment, and direct and indirect effects of parenting styles and character strengths on their school adjustment. The subjects were 378 high school students in Zheng Zhou, China. Results were as follows. Firstly, parenting styles, character strengths, and school adjustment showed significant correlations among each other. Secondly, there were significant gender differences on authoritarian parenting style, courage, and peer relations. Thirdly, the structural equation model for the participants supported that authoritarian parenting style and authoritative parenting style had direct and indirect effects on school adjustment. Also, students' character strengths mediated between authoritarian and authoritative parenting styles and school adjustment. Implications of the study were discussed in depth.
An increasing number of transactions in the bilateral trade between Korea and China rely on collection and remittance, resulting in an increase in exporters' demand for trade financing. Therefore, there is a need to vitalize forfaiting transactions using drafts or promissory notes, which are based on the collections. In the forfaiting transactions, exporters transfer a payment claim to forfaiters on a non-recourse basis through a without recourse endorsement. However, forfaiters do not know importers' creditworthiness and ability to repay drafts or promissory notes; thus, they need a bank aval as a means of credit support. In forfaiting using aval, the drafts or promissory notes are transferred internationally. However, there is no internationally unified law that regulates drafts and promissory notes, and the governing laws related to such drafts and promissory notes do not accept the "principle of party autonomy." Therefore, there is no other choice but to apply the laws of a certain country, in the event of any dispute relating to such drafts or promissory notes. This paper examined forfaiting using aval from the comparative law perspective, focusing on the "Law of China on Negotiable Instruments." The results of this study may to provide businesses involved in international trade with practical guidance and assistance when using forfaiting with aval, especially in trade with China.
Menthae herba (MH) extracts exhibit anti-inflammatory effects. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the anti-inflammatory effects of MH extracts vary according to the cultivation regions. We performed a comparative analysis of MH extracts by evaluating the production of inflammatory mediators in RAW 264.7 murine macrophage cells and HaCaT human keratinocyte cells. MH extracts obtained from different cultivation regions in Korea and China significantly reduced the production of nitric oxide (NO), prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$), and tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ (TNF-${\alpha}$) in RAW 264.7 cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). No differences in these inhibitory activities were observed between MH extracts. In HaCaT cells stimulated with TNF-${\alpha}$ and interferon-${\gamma}$ (IFN-${\gamma}$), MH extracts did not inhibit the production of macrophage-derived chemokine (MDC/CCL22), but most extracts reduced the production of the regulated on activation normal T-cell expression and secreted (RANTES/CCL5). We used clustering tree analysis of the MH extracts according to the chromatographic pattern and anti-inflammatory potency of MH extracts. We observed differences in the chromatographic pattern of MH extracts but no difference in anti-inflammatory potency. Our findings suggest that MH extracts from different regions do not show any differences in their pharmacological potency in that MH extracts are used as therapeutic agents to treat inflammatory disorders.
Traditional medicine has been integrated into the national health system in many countries such as Korea, China, Taiwan, etc. Korea and China are most representative among them. The purpose of this study is to compare the policies on traditional medicine in Korea and China focusing on where it came from and where it is headed. In this regard, the study suggested the first analysis tool in the world for analyzing the policy of traditional medicine. The results of the study are as follows: First of all, the development process of Korean Medicine (KM) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) shows the same pattern, that is, both are influenced by its own national policies. Secondly, the difference between the two countries is due to the gap in the development status or the different aspects in national heath system. TCM is more vitalized in health system and has larger category, and stays ahead in globalization compared to KM. TCM covers Chinese medicine, integrative medicine and ethno-medicine. Korea emphasizes the role of KM in the declining birthrate and aging society, and promotes the overseas patient invitation strategy. China, on the other hand, establishes the medical system for emergency medical treatment and preventive treatment of major diseases and promotes overseas expansion of TCM service. In addition, Korea stressed the safety and distribution of herbal medicine, and China emphasizes production technologies. Korea has a strong medical device industry along with the government's fostering policy; however, in China, medical devices are in the R&D stage yet. Even though both countries promotes the drug development from natural products, Korea focuses on developing herbal cosmetics in application industry, but China shows weakness in policies on application industry. China shores up the foundation for culture and theory of traditional medicine, while Korea doesn't have related policy. Korea places emphasis on promoting collaboration with international organizations and medical volunteer programs, whereas China is more interested in mutual cooperation and real trade with other countries.
Korea and China can find the common feature derived from the mutual cultural exchanges, belonging to the same cultural sphere of the East Asia. It also applies to the stone figures of the palace gardens of both countries. In case of Korea in the stone figures of the palace gardens, there are few of them existing in Kyungbok Palace, Changduk Palace, and Changkyung Palace of the Chosun Dynasty, and most of them were washed away, there are hardly any records remaining and transmitted, and there are hardly any materials of drawings and pictures of them. On the contrary, in case of China, although there are those washed away, there are vast numbers of real objects, and records and materials of them. Therefore, for the study on the stone figures of Korea, the method to analogize the research lacking regarding the stone figures of the palace gardens of Korea from those of China after conducting the comparative study between those existing and those of China, may be available. I consider that although the restoration of the palaces of Chosun Dynasty of Korea had been the restoration project oriented toward the buildings until now, it will be the phase where one should have more interest toward the restoration of the palace gardens in the future, and that the restoration of the palace gardens should be made centered on the landscape architectural structures, deviated from the restoration project attaching weight to the restoration of the trees. Above all, I consider that the interest should be turned to the restoration of the stone figures where the view toward the nature of the Orientals are expressed well. For the restoration of the stone figures in the Changduk and Changkyung Palaces, it is considered that the restoration of the rough locations and shapes is possible based on the Dongkwol Drawings being transmitted, and that the research on the shapes, characters, pedestals, characteristics, etc. of the specific stone figures is possible as far as it is based on the study of the stone figures of the palace gardens of China.

This study analyzes Korean and Chinese consumer perceptions of Hanbang (traditional Korean herbal) cosmetics, specifically focusing on Sulwhasoo's Jaum two-piece set. Using topic modeling, 7,000 consumer reviews from Naver (Korea) and Baidu (China) were examined to uncover the key themes that influence consumer satisfaction and dissatisfaction. The results reveal significant similarities and differences between the two markets. In both countries, the product is frequently purchased as a gift, and price sensitivity is a major concern. However, Korean consumers prioritize delivery experiences and product functionality, while Chinese consumers focus more on product quality and effectiveness. These findings highlight the need for targeted strategies in each market. For success in Korea, competitive pricing and improved logistics are crucial, whereas in China, maintaining high product quality and capitalizing on the gifting culture are essential. Additionally, global expansion requires educating consumers on the benefits of Hanbang cosmetics, ensuring product consistency, and adapting to regional preferences. This research provides valuable insights for cosmetic companies aiming to enhance their market presence both locally and internationally.

The purpose of this study is to compare the vegetation structure in complementary forests of villages between Korea and China. For this study, Jinan in Korea and Qingzhou in China were selected through a pre-survey about the representative regions of both countries. The main research method used was field study. A comparative analysis between the two regions was performed by a frequency analysis of the surveyed data. The data obtained in the study shows the vegetation structure in complementary forests of villages in the two regions have many differences which are related to the local culture. As a result, it was identified that the average number of species was the same at 2.9 and the average number of trees, total number of trees, and tree density in Qingzhou were considerably greater than those in Jinan. Also, it was identified that tree height, average breadth height diameter and crown width in Jinan were considerably greater than those in Qingzhou. Furthermore, it was identified that both the forest state and the principal species of tree are both very different according to the different cultures. Through this identification, it is considered that this study will be helpful in establishing policy direction in both countries about the restoration and management of complementary forests.

Today, our lifestyle and residential culture has been changed have been changed by interchange with various countries in various sides. In order to become an internationally recognized residential environment designer in this environment, we must understand the housing viewpoint of residents in a country first. Therefore, this study was intended to obtain useful material for residential environment design of both countries by comparing the housing viewpoint between Chinese students studying in Korea and Korean students. A questionnaire was conducted on 205 Korean students and 193 Chinese students (Korean race) from Y University in random sampling basis. The result is as follows. First, both Korea and China have a higher ratio of apartments in both current and previous types of house. But, both Korea and China have similar ratios between detached house and apartment for a desired type of house at the time of moving in. Second, Korean and Chinese university students consider and as the most important functions of residence, and Chinese university students consider more functions of residence than Korean students. Third, both Korean and Chinese consider a living room as the most important space among housing spaces, but Chinese consider a private room more importantly than Korean. Fourth, overall satisfaction rate of Korean students for current houses was average, and most Chinese students were generally satisfied with their houses.

In this study, we propose a scheme for providing the consumer of Korea and China with more effective information about the safety of the food to understand easily. Among these countries and consumers, we proposed the graphical displays to help you understand the factors disturbing to think of pesticide residues in common. In the form of a one-dimensional graphical display, whether to provide a safety-related information in the form of conventional foods character, as compared to the graph representation of the larger amounts of information than a two-dimensional character which easily measures the effect of promoting the understanding of the most appropriate information, were reviewed. As a result, in the case of Korea, text and graphs utilizing the standards of pesticide residues than the information provided in a one-dimensional form'Text + Graphics Display'to take advantage of the information provided with the relevant safety standards form the three was found that easy to show. On the other hand, Chinese, between the character and graph form with the advantage that the information providing service type information using the graphic display shown in one dimension could not see the difference between the evaluation and understanding.
This study investigated if there are differences between the effects of lifestyle and personality on consumer complaining behavior between Korea and China. Sample subjects of this study were female college students of Korea(Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do) and China(Yunnan). The questionnaire data from 780 college students were analyzed through the following statistical analyses: a reliability analysis, factor analysis, frequency, mean, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study was as follows. First, the complaining behavior types of college students were divided into 4 factors: third party, breakaway behavior, compensation claim, and negative word of mouth. Second, significant differences were revealed between the dissatisfaction and the conditions of complaining behavior between Korean and Chinese consumers. Third, significant differences were found which were related to the effects of lifestyle and personality on types of consumer complaining behavior between Korea and China. Fourth, the complaining behavior factors of 'third party' and 'compensation claims' of Chinese consumers were higher than those of Korean consumers; however, the 'negative WOM' of Korean consumers were higher than those of Chinese consumers. Fifth, the lifestyle factors of 'fashion orientation, 'rational orientation' and 'activity orientation' of Chinese consumers were higher than those of Korean consumers. The 'achievement orientation' of Korean consumers was higher than that of Chinese consumers. And the personality factors of 'sense of responsibility' of Chinese consumers were higher than Korean consumers. Finally, 'openness' of Korean consumers were higher than Chinese consumers.
