인공신경망 분석과 결정트리 융합에 의한 금연 프로그램 참여 결정 요인 (The Factors of Participating in a Smoking Cessation Program using Integrated Method of Decision Tree and Neural Network Algorithm)

  • 이 연구는 신뢰성 있는 국가통계 데이터를 이용하여 지난 1년 간 금연 시도 경험 결정 요인 모형을 구축하고 개발된 모형을 근거로 금연 프로그램 참여 표적 집단 예측에 관한 기초 자료를 제공하였다. 분석대상은 2010년 서울시복지패널조사를 완료한 19세 이상 흡연자 1,326명이다. 결과변수는 지난 1년간 금연 시도 경험으로 정의하였고, 설명변수는 연령, 성, 최종학력, 현재 취업 상태, 가구 월 평균 총 소득, 배우자 유무, 음주 여부, 주관적 건강상태, 정기적인 운동 여부, 지난 한 달 간 우울증상 여부, 현재 순환기, 내분비계, 근골격계, 호흡기계, 이비인후 질환, 간질환, 비뇨기계질환 등 질병 여부로 설정하였다. 분석방법은 인공신경망 분석과 결정트리모형을 이용하였다. CART 알고리즘을 이용한 금연 프로그램 참여 모형을 구축한 결과, 유의미한 요인은 질병 여부, 주관적 건강 상태, 가구 월 평균 총소득이었다. 이 결과를 기초로 금연 프로그램의 성공적인 시행을 위해서 표적 대상의 특성을 고려한 프로그램 개발 및 교육이 요구된다.

  • 오늘날, 세계 인구성장률의 증가로 국제사회는 심각하게 식량문제 해결을 논의하고 있다. 식량문제 해결을 위한 대안으로는 양식산업이 대두되고 있다. 최근 양식산업의 혁신성장을 위해 4차 산업기술을 융합한 스마트 양식장이 보급되고 있으며, 전주기적 디지털화가 추진되고 있다. 양식산업에서 중요한 수질센서는 전기화학방식의 휴대용 센서를 사용하고 있으며, 이를 이용하여 개별적, 간헐적으로 수질을 체크하고 있어서 양식장 수질을 실시간 분석하고 관리하기가 불가능하다. 최근 광학 기반의 모니터링이 가능한 수질센서들이 개발되어 현장에 적용되고 있다. 그러나 수질센서의 상태정보를 알 수 없기 때문에 모니터링 데이터의 신뢰성을 보장할 수 없는 상황이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 데이터의 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있도록, 수질센서가 수집하는 모니터링 데이터를 기반으로 고장, 기준일탈, 유지보수, 점검 등의 수질센서 자가진단 상태를 파악할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

우포늪 범람에 의한 먼지벌레류(딱정벌레목, 딱정벌레과)의 다양성과 종조성 변화 (Change of Carabid Beetle (Coleoptera, Carabidae) Diversity and Species Composition after Flooding Events in Woopo Wetlands)

  • Change of carabid beelte (Coleoptera, Carabidae) diversity and population structures in Woopo Wetlands (Changneung-Gun, Gyeungsangnam-Do, S. Korea) were investigated after flooding events. During the investigation period, 11 species belonging to five genera were identified. Dolichus halensis halensis(Schaller), Chlaenius (Ch.) pallipes Gebler, Ch. (Ilaenchus) naeviger Morawitz, and Pheropsophus (Stenaptinus) jessoensis Morawitz were the predominant species in Woopo Wetlands. Floods occurred twice, August and September in 2004. After the flooding events, species diversity decreased and species assemblage structures changed dramatically. Changes of the diversity and species assemblage structures were more evident in August then in September, because water level was much higher and inundation period was longer than September. A non-linear patterning algorithm of the Self-Organizing Map (SOM) was applied to discover the relationship between flooding events and carabid beetles community dynamics. Although abundance of the majority species decreased after the flooding events, that of the predominant species increased. Further detailed studies on species distribution and emigration patterns will likely bring a new insight in understanding of the adaptation mechanism of carabid beetles in wetlands.

직선기반 SLAM에서의 루프결합 (Loop Closure in a Line-based SLAM)

  • The loop closure problem is one of the most challenging issues in the vision-based simultaneous localization and mapping community. It requires the robot to recognize a previously visited place from current camera measurements. While the loop closure often relies on visual bag-of-words based on point features in the previous works, however, in this paper we propose a line-based method to solve the loop closure in the corridor environments. We used both the floor line and the anchored vanishing point as the loop closing feature, and a two-step loop closure algorithm was devised to detect a known place and perform the global pose correction. We propose an anchored vanishing point as a novel loop closure feature, as it includes position information and represents the vanishing points in bi-direction. In our system, the accumulated heading error is reduced using an observation of a previously registered anchored vanishing points firstly, and the observation of known floor lines allows for further pose correction. Experimental results show that our method is very efficient in a structured indoor environment as a suitable loop closure solution.

Characteristics of Photosynthetic Pigments during the Outbreak of Harmful Algal Bloom at the South Coastal Area in the Korean Sea Waters

  • Cochlodinium polykrikoides has occurs regularly during the summer in the South Sea of Korea. To investigate photosynthetic pigments concerned with phytoplankton community structure as bloom of Cochlodinium polykrikoides, the experiment was sampled at 20 stations three times between July and September 2002 in the Southern Sea of Korea. The distribution of peridinin, the biomarker of dinoflagellate, was higher at the blooming time than it was before and it disappeared after bloom. The correlative coefficients between Chl. a and peridinin at the blooming time and out of bloom were 0.9253 and 0.1613, respectively. This result indicated that the bloom was caused by dinoflagellate. The correlative coefficients between Chl. a and fucoxanthin were 0.3282 and 0.9759, respectively, and the correlative coefficients showed the succession from dinoflagellate to diatom. This result means that the bloom of Cochlodinium polykrikoides can be detected by Chl. a information from satellite remote sensing. Therefore, if the algorithm to detect peridinin in addition to Chl. a were to be developed, dinoflagellate red tide could be monitored more effectively.

  • Among a number of methodologies for developing groundwater supply to overcome drought events reported in the research community, an accurate estimation of the groundwater level is an important initial issue to provide an efficient method for operating groundwater. The primary objective of this paper is to develop an advanced prediction model for the groundwater level in the catchment area of the Ssangcheon groundwater dam using precipitation based period dividing algorithm and response surface methodology (RSM). A numerical example clearly shows that the proposed method can effectively forecast groundwater level in terms of correlation coefficient ($R^2$) in the upstream part of the Ssangcheon groundwater dam.

  • Although a frequency analysis by FFT algorithm has been widely used in the vibration community, this approach has somewhat limited features when an analysist want to see the details of frequency trends because FFT shows only energy contents along frequencies. So the concept of instantaneous frequency that represents the dominant frequency component at each time needs to be introduced. In this paper, to get the instantaneous frequency, two methods are used. Methods using Hilbert transform and evolutionary spectrum are those. One of the problems of estimating instantaneous frequency using Hilbert transform is that it is normally very sensitive to signal to noise ratio(SNR) because of the differentiation. Moving window is applied on the estimation of instantaneous frequency, and instantaneous frequency histogram are used to handle this problem and proved to be very effective. Computer simulations for various signals have been done to understand the characteristics of instantaneous frequency. The usefulness of signal analysis using instantaneous frequency was tested by three simple experiments, which were engine experiment, beam experiment, and car door experiment. The instantaneous frequency analysis is found to be a useful technique to analyze the signals that have time varying frequencies.

의사결정나무분석법을 활용한 6차산업 유형별 산업적 기능결합 요인탐색 (Exploring Industrial Function Combining Factors for Each Type in the 6th Industry Based on Decision Tree Analysis)

  • This study aims to identify the characteristics of businesses influencing the choice of their type in the 6th industry and analyze how they work. This study analyzed data of 752 businesses certified as belonging to the 6th industry in 2015 through the classification and regression tree (CART) algorithm in decision tree analysis. The results of analysis showed that the type of agricultural product processing, region, the type of service, and the production percentage in a province affected a choice of the type. The most important variable that impacted how businesses in the 6th industry chose their type was the type of agricultural product processing, and if a business produced simple agricultural products, it was likely to specialize into $1st^*2nd$ or $1st^*3rd$. Access to large consumption areas was a critical factor in the growth of 2nd and 3rd industrial functions. These findings would contribute to establishing a model to develop the 6th industry and empirically demonstrate the importance of access to large consumption areas for agricultural businesses and rural tourism.

Progress Report : Quantifying and Classifying Peculiarity of Cluster Galaxies

  • In the LCDM paradigm, hierarchical merging is thought to play a key role in the formation and evolution of massive galaxies. Theoretical and observational studies suggest that massive galaxies started forming at high redshifts and were assembled via numerous mergers. Galaxy clusters are the sites where the most massive galaxies are found and the most dramatic merger histories are embedded. The previous work of Sheen et al. (2012) identified via visual inspection many massive galaxies with merger features in clusters, which surprised the community. In this study we aim to quantify peculiarity of galaxies to pin down the merger frequency in cluster environments more objectively. We have performed optical deep imaging of 4 Abell clusters by using IMACS f/2 on a Magellan Badde 6.5-m telescope. For the galaxies in our data, we applied GALFIT algorithm, which fits analytic models to galaxy data, and we analyzed their residuals. We present the preliminary results of our sample galaxies.

Atorvastatin/ezetimibe 복합제 복용 후 발생한 시야결손 부작용 사례보고 (Visual Field Defect after Taking Atorvastatin/Ezetimibe, a Case Study)

  • Atorvastatin is one of the most widely prescribed medications for dyslipidemia treatment. In Korea, post combined therapy with ezetimibe, a 73-year-old woman was reported by a community pharmacy to have experienced visual field defect, which recovered after drug discontinuation. She had never experienced this symptom before, and several studies have reported an association between use of statins and visual disorders such as blurred vision, diplopia, and cataract. Blockage of cholesterol accumulation, oxidative stress, or myopathy is expected to be a cause of this symptom. Naranjo scale, Korean causality assessment algorithm (Ver.2), and World Health Organization-Uppsala Monitoring Center (WHO-UMC) criteria were the three tools used to determine causality between the visual disorder and atorvastatin. The results represent 'probable', 'certain', and 'probable/likely' causality, respectively. Our results, in combination with a review of literature, indicate that ocular adverse effects are highly likely related to atorvastatin.
