The influence of boundary conditions on the bending and free vibration behavior of functionally graded sandwich plates resting on a two-parameter elastic foundation is examined using an original novel high order shear theory. The Hamilton's principle is used herein to derive the equations of motion. The number of unknowns and governing equations of the present theory is reduced, and hence makes it simple to use. This theory includes indeterminate integral variables and contains only four unknowns in which any shear correction factor not used, with even less than the conventional theory of first shear strain (FSDT). Unlike any other theory, the number of unknown functions involved in displacement field is only four, as against five, six or more in the case of other shear deformation theories. Galerkin's approach is utilized for FGM sandwich plates with six different boundary conditions. The accuracy of the proposed solution is checked by comparing it with other closed form solutions available in the literature.
The current work, present dynamic analysis of the FG-sandwich plate seated on elastic foundation with various kinds of support using refined shear deformation theory. The present analytical model is simplified which the unknowns number are reduced. The zero-shear stresses at the free surfaces of the FG-sandwich plate are ensured without introducing any correction factors. The four equations of motion are determined via Hamilton's principle and solved by Galerkin's approach for FG-sandwich plate with three kinds of the support. The proposed analytical model is verified by comparing the results with those obtained by other theories existing in the literature. The parametric studies are presented to detect the various parameters influencing the fundamental frequencies of the symmetric and non-symmetric FG-sandwich plate with various boundary conditions.
The number of deaths is often measured to monitor the population health status and priority of health problems. However, number of years of life lost (YLL) is a more appropriate indicator in some cases. We have calculated the YLL of adult cancers and its trend over the past few years in Yazd to provide planners with baseline data. Data obtained from death registration system were used to calculate the YLL, based on each individual's age at death, and the standardized expected YLL method was applied with a discount rate of 0.03, an age weight of 0.04, and a correction factor of 0.165. All data were analyzed and prepared in Epi6 and Excel 2007. A total of 3,850 death records were analyzed. Some 550 patients in Yazd province aged ${\geq}20$ die annually due to cancer (male: female ratio 1.3). The average ages at death in lung, CNS, breast cancer and leukemia cases were 68.5, 59, 58.7 and 61, respectively. The age group of 40-59 with 21 % had the highest cancer mortality percentage. Premature cancer deaths have caused 40,753 YLL (5,823 YLL annually). Females lose on average more life years to cancer than do men (11.6 vs 9.8 years). Lung cancer (12.1%), CNS tumors (11.7%) and leukemia (11.4 %) were the leading causes terms of YLL due to all cancers in both sexes. From 2004 to 2010, cancer-caused YLL as a fraction of all YLL increased from 12.8 to 15.2 %. This study can help in the assessment of health care needs and prioritization. Cancer is the major cause of deaths and the trend is increasing. The use of YLLs is a better index for measurement of premature mortality for ranking of diseases than is death counts. Longer periods of observation will make these trends more robust and will help to evaluate and develop, better public health interventions.
Purpose. This study reported on body type perception of people aged ${\geq}19years$, regardless of gender, and on its association with disease morbidity and the quality of life and aimed to observe the effects of stress on body weight perception, disease morbidity, and the quality of life. Methods. The data from 218,899 persons aged ${\geq}19years$ who were respondents to the 2010 Community Health Survey were finally analyzed. A designated program was used to perform complex sample analysis; chi-square test was carried out to determine body type perception by the general characteristics and disease status and analyze health-related behavior and weight control behavior by body type perception, and multiple logistic regression was used to observe the effects of body type perception on mental health and the quality of life. Results. 34.9% of all the respondents misperceived their body type and females were more likely to misperceive their body type. The older they were, the more poorly they perceived their body type; those perceiving their body type poorly were significantly more susceptible to both hypertension and diabetes. When correction was made in relation to gender, age, and so on, those perceiving their body type excessively were more susceptible to hypertension (1.43[1.367-1.050]) and diabetes morbidity (1.36[1.294-1.428]). Body type perception affected the quality of life: the respondents perceiving their body type poorly (0.91[0.884-0.940]) or excessively (0.75[0.720-0.770]) showed lower quality of life than those perceiving their body type correctly. Conclusions. Distorted body type perception affected disease morbidity and the quality of life: the respondents excessively perceiving their body type were significantly more susceptible to both hypertension and diabetes and those perceiving their body type excessively or poorly showed lower quality of life than those perceiving it correctly. It is therefore necessary to make multilateral efforts to cultivate correct body type perception.
Resistivity monitoring data at embankment dams are affected by the seasonal temperature variation. Especially when the seasonal temperature variation is large like Korea, the temperature effects may not be ignored in the longterm resistivity monitoring. Therefore, temperature effects can make it difficult to accurately interpret the resistivity monitoring data. In this study, through analyzing the time series of ground temperature collected at an embankment dam, ground temperature variations are calculated approximately. Then, based on the calculated temperature profile with depth, the inverted resistivity model of the embankment dam is corrected to remove the temperature effects. From these corrections, it was confirmed that the temperature effects are significant in the upper, superficial part of the dam, but can be ignored at depth. However, temperature correction based only on the temperature distribution in the dam body cannot remove the temperature effect thoroughly. To overcome this problem, the effect of temperature variation in the reservoir water seems to be incorporated together with the air temperature variation.

As we know that there are so many restrictions controlling the autonomous robot to turn and move in an indoor space. In this research, Ive adopted the concept ‘Omni-directional wheel’ as a driving equipment, which makes it possible for the robot to move in horizontal and diagonal directions. Most of all, we eliminated the slip error problem, which can occur when the system generates power by means of slip. In order to solve this problem, we developed a ‘slip error correction algorithm’. Following this program, whenever the robot moves in any directions, it defines its course by comparing pre-programmed direction and the current moving way, which can be decided by extracted image of floor line. Additionally, this robot also provides the limited security and service function. It detects the motion of vehicle, transmits pictures to multiple users and can be moved by simple order's. In this paper, we tried to propose a practical model which can be used in an office.
Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate the incidence and degree of external apical root resorption of maxillary incisors after orthodontic treatment and to evaluate particular associated factors related to external apical root resorption. Materials and Methods: The records and maxillary incisor periapical radiographs of 181 patients were investigated. Crown and root lengths were measured and compared on the pre- and post-treatment periapical radiographs. Crown length was measured from the center of the incisal edge to the midpoint of the cemento-enamel junction (CEJ). Root length was measured from the CEJ midpoint to the root apex. A correction factor for the enlargement difference was used to calculate root resorption. Results: The periapical radiographs of 564 teeth showed that the average root resorption was $1.39{\pm}1.27$ ($8.24{\pm}7.22$%) and $1.69{\pm}1.14$ mm ($10.16{\pm}6.78%$) for the maxillary central and lateral incisors, respectively. The results showed that the dilacerated or pointed roots, maxillary premolar extraction cases, and treatment duration were highly significant factors for root resorption (p<0.001). Allergic condition was a significant factor at p<0.01. Age at the start of treatment, large overjet, and history of facial trauma were also factors significantly associated with root resorption (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in root resorption among the factors of gender, overbite, tongue-thrusting habit, types of malocclusion, and types of bracket. Conclusion: These results suggested that orthodontic treatment should be carefully performed in pre-treatment extraction patients who have pointed or dilacerated roots and need long treatment duration.

Purpose The prominent mandible angle, otherwise known as "square face", has been recognized as an aesthetic problem that needs correction by many in the Asian community. Many surgeons considered that mandible angle ostectomy alone, brings about hypotrophy of the masseter muscle. However, it was only proven indirectly (by clinical experience and histological animal experiments) and not objectively. In this study, we evaluated the volume of masseter muscle to prove the effect, objectively. Materials and method Computed tomography (CT) images were used to measure the masseter muscle volume of normal female group (n=6), and of female patient group n=8, preoperative and early & late postoperative volumes) presenting the symptom of prominent mandible angle. The data was analyzed statistically by two-sample t-test and paired t-test using SAS (version 8.2). Results In normal female group, volume average was $16,142{\pm}2,829.8mm^3$. In patient group, preoperative volume averaged $24,447{\pm}4,544.5mm^3$ (p<0.0001), early postoperative volume measured average of $31,966{\pm}50,421mm^3$ which is a 30% increase from the preoperative volume (p<0.0001). Late postoperative measurement was $20,202{\pm}4,092.3mm^3$, which is a 20% decrease from the preoperative volume (p<0.0006). Conclusion The bone reduction of prominent mandible angle induce the hypotrophic effect of masseter muscle after long term follow up (5 more months). This result mean that the result of mandible angle contouring surgery can be considered as combined effect of bony angle reduction and subsequent masseter muscle hypotrophy.

Since 1993, the civil aviation community through RTCA (Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics) and the ICAO (International Civil Air Navigation Organization) have been working on the definition of GNSS augmentation systems that will provide improved levels of accuracy and integrity. These augmentation systems have been classified into three distinct groups: Aircraft Based Augmentation Systems (ABAS), Space Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) and Ground Based Augmentation Systems (GBAS). The last one is an implemented system to support Air Navigation in CAT-I approaching operation. It consists of three primary subsystems: the GNSS Satellite subsystem that produces the ranging signals and navigation messages; the GBAS ground subsystem, which uses two or more GNSS receivers. It collects pseudo ranges for all GNSS satellites in view and computes and broadcasts differential corrections and integrity-related information; the Aircraft subsystem. Within the area of coverage of the ground station, aircraft subsystems may use the broadcast corrections to compute their own measurements in line with the differential principle. After selection of the desired FAS for the landing runway, the differentially corrected position is used to generate navigation guidance signals. Those are lateral and vertical deviations as well as distance to the threshold crossing point of the selected FAS and integrity flags. The Department of Applied Science in Naples has create for its study a virtual GBAS Ground station. Starting from three GPS double frequency receivers, we collect data of 24h measures session and in post processing we generate the GC (GBAS Correction). For this goal we use the software Pegasus V4.1 developed from EUROCONTROL. Generating the GC we have the possibility to study and monitor GBAS performance and integrity starting from a virtual functional architecture. The latter allows us to collect data without the necessity to found us authorization for the access to restricted area in airport where there is one GBAS installation.
Purpose: Celiac disease, an autoimmune enteropathy triggered by exposure to gluten, is not uncommon in South Jordan. However, its prevalence is underestimated due to lack of physician awareness of the diversity of disease presentation. The clinical spectrum includes classic gastrointestinal manifestations, as well as rickets, iron-deficiency anemia, short stature, elevated liver enzymes, and edema. Our goal was to evaluate celiac disease presentation in clinically diagnosed children. Methods: Retrospective study included all children diagnosed with celiac disease between September 2009 and September 2015. Hospital charts were reviewed. Demographic data, clinical characteristics, and follow-up were recorded. Results: Thirty-five children were diagnosed with celiac disease during the study period. Mean age${\pm}$standard deviation was $6.7{\pm}3.8$ years (range, 2.0-14 years). There were 17 (48.6%) female patients. The average duration between onset of symptoms and diagnosis was $16.3{\pm}18.7$ months. Fifteen (42.9%) patients presented with classic malabsorption symptoms, whereas 7 (20.0%) patients presented with short stature. Positive tissue transglutaminase antibodies (tTg)-immunoglobulin A (IgA) was seen in 34 (97.1%) patients. The one patient with negative tTg-IgA had IgA deficiency. Although tTG-IgA values were not available for objective documentation of compliance, clinical data (resolution of presenting abnormalities and growth improvement) assured acceptable compliance in 22 (62.9%) patients. Conclusion: CD in children may present with diverse picture. Although of the small number, the non-classical presentations are not uncommon in our rural community. Gluten-free diet is the main strategy for treatment and associated with usually correction of laboratory abnormalities and improvement of growth.
