  • This study is to find the causes of the current situations of conflict between generations in regards to succession of their family farm, for the target group of graduates of the year 2008 and their parents. This study also aims at finding a way of controlling and solving the conflicts, and of developing a course of education and training, so that through this process they can come to a rational conclusion to the conflicts that arise regarding succession of the farm, in a climate of harmony and peace. It is found that communication between parents and graduates has normally gone on well, but specific problems related to management of the farm are often present. Furthermore, there is often lack of trust and promise between the parties which often causes difficulties in preparation for the succession of the farm. On the basis of these observation, we have designed and implemented an education workshop and training, as a program in which parents and their successors participated. As a result, we found it to be very effective, but it was also found to be in need of some changes. The workshop is to be implemented in two separate stages. The first stage should focus on communication and trust between family members. Firstly, they are given the opportunity to share the list of concerns withone another, as an ice breaking activity. Secondly, they can present their own hopes or wishes. And lastly, they can communicate with one another in an effort to find resolutions that will be keep both parties satisfied. The second stage should be aimed at establishing agreements concerning succession of the farm in a harmonious and peaceful manor; the second stage is also an opportunity to discuss 'Farm management and succession'. The Korea National Agricultural College (KNAC), as a state college, is in the pursuit of fostering agricultural CEO's for the future of Korea. KNAC is currently implementing a very unique system of interviews in which parents participate together with students, in order to help them make a plan for rational management of their farm and smooth succession of the farm. Although KNAC now has students present a blueprint of their own unique business plans as a graduation thesis, it is necessary for KNAC to complement this system with education and training regarding the succession of family farms. Furthermore, KNAC should also develop an education and training program that is separate for this purpose, and make it a regular course of study of KNAC in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on sports entertainment programs by collecting data on unstructured data generated by Naver and Google for SBS entertainment program 'Women Who Score Goal', which began regular broadcast in June 2021, and analyzing public perceptions through data mining, semantic matrix, and CONCOR analysis. Data collection was conducted using Textom, and 27,911 cases of data accumulated for 16 months from June 16, 2021 to October 15, 2022. For the collected data, 80 key keywords related to 'Kick a Goal' were derived through simple frequency and TF-IDF analysis through data mining. Semantic network analysis was conducted to analyze the relationship between the top 80 keywords analyzed through this process. The centrality was derived through the UCINET 6.0 program using NetDraw of UCINET 6.0, understanding the characteristics of the network, and visualizing the connection relationship between keywords to express it clearly. CONCOR analysis was conducted to derive a cluster of words with similar characteristics based on the semantic network. As a result of the analysis, it was analyzed as a 'program' cluster related to the broadcast content of 'Kick a Goal' and a 'Soccer' cluster, a sports event of 'Kick a Goal'. In addition to the scenes about the game of the cast, it was analyzed as an 'Everyday Life' cluster about training and daily life, and a cluster about 'Broadcast Manipulation' that disappointed viewers with manipulation of the game content.

  • In order to adapt to the rapidly changing medical environment, it is important to advance not only the basic medical education in medical schools but also that of residents. The quality of the training environment and educational goals for residency must also be improved for specialists. Although each institute including internal medicine, general surgery, family medicine, etc., strives to standardize, sets educational goals, and develops content to train capable specialists, the education programs focus on special techniques and competency of medical care for patients. The training environment of each residency program is different in each trainee hospital, and hospitals are making an effort to set education goals for the residents and improve their education programs. In Korea, there is no common core education program for residents, while in the United States, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education is responsible for the development and evaluation of a standardized curriculum for residents, and in Canada, CanMEDs presents a basic curriculum to help residents develop competency. Fully capable specialists have more than just clinical competency; they also need a wide range of abilities including professionalism, leadership, communication, cooperation, in addition to taking part in continuous professional development/continuing medical education activities. We need to provide a core curriculum for residency to demonstrate attention to and knowledge about health problems of the community.

  • A number of universities around the world provide various undergraduate and graduate programs for digital forensic. In this paper, we propose a cross-layer program suitable for senior students in the IT and law departments to learn multi-disciplinary convergence subjects. We have first analyzed the key ingredients of digital forensic and then the current programs in several universities. After describing the qualifications anticipated for digital forensic specialists, we have critically analyzed the courses currently offered in the IT and law departments. Based on the analysis and discussions, we have proposed an IT+law program and two flexible operation schemes of the program for securing the desired level of convergence education.

  • The purpose of the study was to review the evidence of effects of virtual reality (VR) technology in nursing education. Four databases were searched for articles publised until November 2018 that databases include PubMed, Proquest (nursing and allied health), CINAHL, & RISS. Key word used for search include 'education, nursing', 'simulation', 'skill training', 'virtual reality' and 'VR'. Of 695 papers searched, Seven studies were selected for data analysis. Of seven studies, five studies used quasi-experimental design and two used one group design. There were two studies used VR technology for skill training and five were scenario based VR simulation program. Studies evaluated outcomes including students performance, time spent on practice, self-efficacy and communication ability that most studies reported positive effects while some figures were not statistically significant. The findings of this study provides evidence of nursing education program using VR, however, additional research with rigorously designed studies using systematized measurements for study outcomes are required. In addition, comparison with existing skill training and simulation education should be considered in the future studies.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing the barriers faced by Korean nurses in addressing the patients' sexual health. Methods: The subjects in this study were nurses working at hospitals in Seoul and Jeonju. The data for this study were collected between November 2008 and December 2008. The subjects were assured of anonymity and confidentiality. Results: The barriers to addressing the patients' sexual health were moderate in the subjects. The nurses had moderate sexual knowledge and communication skills. In a stepwise regression analysis, the areas of work, communication skills, participation in sexual health training, and experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology accounted for 18.3% of the variance of the barrier for addressing the patients' sexual health. Conclusion: These findings emphasize the need for the development of a patient-centered sexual health-related curriculum for nurses, which has been briefly discussed in Korea. An educational program that improves the nurses' communication skills will be effective in reducing the barriers to addressing the patients' sexual health and will help the nurses become sexual health specialists.
