This paper explores the influences of the traditional Chinese culture on social relations in China. It provides an introduction to the concept of Guanxi, the notion that social connections are based on socially situated reciprocity. This is different from social interaction in Western society that is based on self-interest and equity. Guanxi represents the foundation of social networks in many Eastern countries. As such, the study of social networks in China requires scholars to examine Guanxi networks. The paper demonstrates how a Guanxi perspective might be added to the examination of various theories that comprise structural (network) theory, including social capital theory, social exchange theory, cognitive and contagion theories, and the role of homophily for the study of Chinese society and its social organizations.

The purposes of this study was to find aesthetical-ethical paradigm of care ethics by understanding the unique moral character of care as an art and to suggest the optimal direction of nursing ethics. Method: This study used meaning-heuristic and -interpretive methods of hermeneutics based on philosophical aesthetic theory; Baumgarten's aesthetics, Schiller's theory of aesthetical education and Kant's theory of aesthetical judgement. Result: The concept of care implied aesthetical and ethical character; caring as an art was related to moral feeling based on human dignity und emotional communication in interpersonal-relationship. Caring as an art was interpreted as a moral ideal for the promotion of the humanity und the interaction in personal-relationship according to nursing theories. Philosophical aesthetics could provide the theoretical base for the interpretation of caring as an art. The proper paradigm of care ethics in nursing could be found in character-trait ethics and communication ethics according to the philosophical aesthetics. Conclusion: This study could show aesthetical-ethical paradigm of care ethics in nursing by the heuristic interpretation of caring as an art according to the philosophical aesthetics

The paper is part of an investigation by the authors on development of a knowledge based frame work for multimodal medical image in collaboration with the All India Institute of Medical Science, new Delhi. After presenting the key aspects of the Dempster-Shafer Evidence theory we have presented implementation of registration and fusion of T₁and T₂ weighted MR images and CT images of the brain of an Alzheimer's patient for minimising the uncertainty and increasing the reliability for dianostics and therapeutic planning.

When a flexible arm is rotated by a motor about an joint axis, transverse vibration may occur. The motor torque should be controlled in such a way that the moter rotates by a specified angle, while simultaneously stabilizing vibration of the flexible arm so that it is arrested at the end of rotation. In this paper, the dynamic model of flexible robot arm is modeled by using Bernoulli-Euler beam theory and Lagrange equation. Nonlinear control with hysteresis deadzone using the sliding sector theory with continued input function in the sector is proposed.

The reform movements of current mathematics education have based on several major ideas, in order to provide a new vision of the teaching and loaming of mathematics. Of the ideas, the motto of communication of mathematics appears to be a significant factor to change teaching practices in mathematics classroom. Through Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, the psychological background is presented for both supporting the motto and extracting important suggestions of the reform of mathematics education. The development of higher mental functions is explained by internalization, semiotic mediation, and the zone of proximal development. Above all, emphasis is put on the concepts of scaffolding and inter subjectivity related to the zone of proximal development. Seven implications are proposed by Vygotsky's sociocultural theory for the new forms of the teaching and learning of mathematics.

Game theory has been regarded as a useful theoretical tool for modeling the interactions between distinct entities and thus it has been harnessed in various research field. In particular, research attention has been shown to how to apply game theory to modeling the interactions between malign and benign entities in the field of wireless networks. Although various game theoretic modeling work have been proposed in the field of wireless networks, our proposed work is disparate to the existing work in the sense that we focus on mobile malign node detection problem in static wireless sensor networks. More specifically, we propose a Bayesian game theoretic modeling for mobile malign node detection problem in static wireless sensor networks. In our modeling, we formulate a two-player static Bayesian game with imperfect information such that player 1 is aware of the type of player 2, but player 2 is not aware of the type of player 1. We use four strategies in our static Bayesian game. We obtain Bayesian Nash Equilibria with pure strategies under certain conditions.

In this study, we consider the integration of cognitive components and emotion to account for communication behaviors and activism on a consumer advocacy website. The challenge of integrating situational theory and anger activism model was empirically explored utilizing an online survey with the members of the virtual community, which was designed to raise issues and to protest against the product defects of a product. Our findings indicated that along with the cognitive perception in the situational theory, anger as a negative emotion was the most significant predictor strongly associated with communication behaviors and activism on the organization. More interestingly, the model that integrates anger with cognitive components significantly improves its explanatory power compared with one including only cognitive components as explanatory variables.

In this paper, we develop a spatiotemporal model to analysis of cellular user in underlay D2D communication by using stochastic geometry and queuing theory. Firstly, by exploring stochastic geometry to model the user locations, we derive the probability that the SINR of cellular user in a predefined interval, which constrains the corresponding transmission rate of cellular user. Secondly, in contrast to the previous studies with full traffic models, we employ queueing theory to evaluate the performance parameters of dynamic traffic model and formulate the cellular user transmission mechanism as a M/G/1 queuing model. In the derivation, Embedded Markov chain is introduced to depict the stationary distribution of cellular user queue status. Thirdly, the expressions of performance metrics in terms of mean queue length, mean throughput, mean delay and mean dropping probability are obtained, respectively. Simulation results show the validity and rationality of the theoretical analysis under different channel conditions.

This study is aimed to find out which factors among firm-specific resources, industry-based competition, and institutional conditions affect strategies for Korean IT manufacturing companies when they expand their business overseas, especially to Vietnam in this study. Also, it attempts to reveal which strategies among cost reduction, mass production, and localization affect performance of overseas expansion. Based on Strategy Tripod Theory as an integrating point-of-view embracing resource-based view, industry-based view, and institution-based view, research model was developed and tested through the survey of 83 Korean IT manufacturing companies expanded their business to Vietnam. Research findings show that (1) communication competency, industry competitiveness, industry attractiveness, and regulation of partner country affect cost reduction strategy. (2) International experience, communication competency, international orientation, and competitiveness is significantly associated with mass production strategy. (3) And international experience, communication competency, and industry competitiveness affect localization. (4) Ultimately, mass production strategy and localization strategy significantly increase performance of expansion to Vietnam. The theoretical contribution of this study is to adopt an integrative approach based on strategy tripod theory. As practical implications, it suggests factors and strategies that IT manufacturing companies interested in expansion to Vietnam should consider. In sum, we believe this study can contribute to Korean IT manufacturing industry by suggesting key success factors and appropriate strategies for overseas expansion.

In this study, the Tx(Transmitting) and Rx(Receiving) band pass filter for personal communication services was constructed and designed using .lambda./4 TEM mode dielectric resonators. Band pass filter was composed of ceramics resonators which has been developed using ($Zr_{0.65}$,$Sn_{0.35}$) $Ti_{1.04}$ $O_{4.04}$ ceramic and Unloaded-Q ( $Q_{o}$) of .lambda./4 TEM mode dielectric resonator with inner hole size 0.9mm and external size 3mm using silver electrode is 354.5 at 1.95GHz. For the band pass filter design and construction, the design theory and simulation results of band pass filter using J-inverter theory have been studied. The parameters which are evaluated by design theory are practically applied to the filter construction and the simulation results are in agreement with the measured results after fine tunnings.s.s.s.s.s.
