  • 차세대 Web 2.0 시대의 사용자들은 UI에 대한 시각적, 감성적 요소를 충족시키고 각종 정보에 대해 즉각적인 인식이 가능한 화면을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 사용자의 요구에 능동적으로 대처하기 위해서는 개발자와 디자이너의 상호 협력이 더욱 절실해져가고 있다. 이에 마이크로소프트사는 웹 프레젠테이션 작성 시 다양한 플랫폼에 풍부한 기능과 시각적으로 뛰어난 웹페이지를 개발할 수 있는 Silverlight를 출시하였다. 디자이너와 개발자의 협업이 가능하고 여러 개발 툴에 접근이 가능한 Silverlight를 활용하여 기존의 창 개념에 투명도와 애니매이션을 적용하고 3D 효과를 제공함으로써 시각적인 효과를 높인 창고관리시스템을 구현하였다.

A Case Study on Simplification Strategies of Logo Design from the Perspective of Gestalt Psychology

  • This paper delves into the application of Gestalt psychology principles in logo design. It analyzes how these principles refine design elements to bolster the efficiency and impact of visual communication. Drawing from Gestalt psychology perspectives, the theoretical foundations and application methods of logo design simplification strategies are discussed. Through the analysis of Gestalt psychology effects in various types and styles of logo designs, this study compares the applicability and differences of logo design simplification strategies under different cultural and social contexts. Furthermore, it evaluates their role and value in enhancing the innovativeness and communicative impact of logo designs. The findings suggest that strategies informed by Gestalt psychology significantly improve the organization rules within logo designs, such as the relationship between figure and ground, proximity, similarity, and continuity. Thereby they enhance perceptual clarity, cognitive load, and aesthetic satisfaction. Moreover, these strategies promote creative thinking and problem-solving abilities in logo design. The results indicate that simplified design methods not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also improve the adaptability and recognizability of logos across different media and environments. This approach aligns with the minimalist and flat design trends of today's information age, meeting the evolving needs and aesthetic preferences of consumers.

A Novel Preprocessing Algorithm for Fingerprint

  • This paper proposes a fingerprint image processing algorithm to accurately extract minutiae in the process of fingerprint recognition. We improved the matching accuracy of low quality fingerprint images by using effective ridge vector and ridge probability. The proposed algorithm improves the clarity of ridge structures and reduces undesired noise. We collected thumb print images from 10 individuals 5 separate times each, in total using 50 thumbprints. We registered one of the five thumbprint images from each individual to match the registered one with the other four thumbprint images, and alternated the registered thumbprint image. We matched thumbprints 20 times for each individual. In total, we conducted 200 matches for the thumbprints from the 10 individuals. We improved the verification accuracy and reliability compared to conventional methods.

기혼남녀의 자기관과 결혼만족의 관계 - 독립 및 상호의존적 자기관을 중심으로- (The Role of Independent and Interdependent Self-Construals in Marital Satisfaction among Men and Women)

  • 본 연구는 기혼남녀의 자기관이 결혼만족에 기여하는 경로와 그 역할을 밝히기 위해 서울지역에 거주하는 만 25세 이상 75세 미만의 기혼자 489명을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하였다. 독립적 자기관과 상호의존적 자기관이 결혼만족에 미치는 직접효과와 매개변인들을 통해 결혼만족에 기여하는 간접효과를 검증하기 위해 경로분석을 하였으며, 공변량구조분석을 통해 경로모형의 부합도를 평가하였다. 예측대로, 전체집단의 자료에서 독립적 자기관이 결혼만족에 미치는 긍정적 효과는 자기존중감과 의사소통의 명확성에 의해 중재되었으며, 상호의존적 자기관의 그러한 효과는 심리적 안정과 관계적 안녕감에 의해 중재되었다. 또한, 이 두 유형의 자기관이 결혼만족에 미치는 직접 효과는 상반되었으며, 독립적 자기관은 결혼만족을 감소시키나, 상호의존적 자기관은 결혼만족의 증가에 기여하였다. 자기관이 결혼만족에 미치는 직.간접효과에 대한 연구가설은 심리적 안정을 통한 간접효과를 제외하고 전체집단에 의해 지지를 받았으며, 경로모형의 부합도도 수용 가능한 수준을 보였다. 그러나, 남녀집단의 경로분석 결과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않은 경로나 간접효과들 간에 성차를 보여, 결혼만족에 있어 자기관의 역할이 남녀에 따라 달라질 수 있음을 시사하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 근거로 임상사회사업적 함의와 후속연구의 방향을 논의하였다.

효과적인 법정 프레젠테이션을 위한 비주얼커뮤니케이션 디자인 연구 (A Study on Visual Communication Design for Effective Trial Presentation)

  • 구술심리주의의 확산, 국민참여재판의 도입 등 빠른 변화의 흐름 가운데 놓여있는 한국의 법정 환경은 구술주의의 단점을 효과적으로 보완할 수 있는 법정 프레젠테이션의 체계적인 도입을 필요로 하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국의 법정 환경을 토대로 법정 프레젠테이션의 개념과 유형, 그리고 효용성을 정리 및 분석하였다. 또한 법정 프레젠테이션의 특수성을 고려하여 미국과 한국에서 가장 범용으로 사용되는 법정 프레젠테이션 도구들을 비교 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 토대로, 한국의 법정 환경에 최적화된 프레젠테이션 도구가 갖춰야할 요소로서 1. 다양한 형태 매체의 삽입 용이성, 2. 그래픽 스타일 스펙트럼의 적절한 제한, 3. 그래픽 도구의 사용 편의성, 4. 시스템적 기능성 등의 요소를 제안하였다. 이와 같은 제안은 주장 전개와 내용 전달에 있어서 명료성, 정확성, 효율성 등을 강화할 뿐만 아니라 프레젠테이션 비주얼커뮤니케이션 측면의 심미성과 통일성을 증진하기 위한 것이다.

Layout optimization of wireless sensor networks for structural health monitoring

  • Node layout optimization of structural wireless systems is investigated as a means to prolong the network lifetime without, if possible, compromising information quality of the measurement data. The trade-off between these antagonistic objectives is studied within a multi-objective layout optimization framework. A Genetic Algorithm is adopted to obtain a set of Pareto-optimal solutions from which the end user can select the final layout. The information quality of the measurement data collected from a heterogeneous WSN is quantified from the placement quality indicators of strain and acceleration sensors. The network lifetime or equivalently the network energy consumption is estimated through WSN simulation that provides realistic results by capturing the dynamics of the wireless communication protocols. A layout optimization study of a monitoring system on the Great Belt Bridge is conducted to evaluate the proposed approach. The placement quality of strain gauges and accelerometers is obtained as a ratio of the Modal Clarity Index and Mode Shape Expansion values that are computed from a Finite Element model of the monitored bridge. To estimate the energy consumption of the WSN platform in a realistic scenario, we use a discrete-event simulator with stochastic communication models. Finally, we compare the optimization results with those obtained in a previous work where the network energy consumption is obtained via deterministic communication models.

VR 영상의 회전각도에 따른 오디오 데이터 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study for Change of Audio Data according to Rotation Degree of VR Video)

  • 본 논문에서는 개인방송서비스에서 실감 음향을 구현할 수 있도록, 화면 변화에 따른 음향 데이터의 변화를 추적하여, 자동적으로 화면과 음향을 믹싱하도록 도와주는 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 실험을 통하여 화면의 회전각도 변화에 따른 음원에서의 고주파 대역에서의 음압 변화를 확인하였고, 소리의 명료도와 관련되는 주파수 대역인 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz에서의 음압 변화를 회귀분석을 통하여 각각 -1.17 dB/degree, -2.0 dB/degree, -2.44 dB/degree로 음압의 감쇄 변화 추세를 파악하였다. 이 실험결과는 음압열화를 보완하여 실감음향을 향상시키는 믹싱 알고리즘에 사용되어, 실감 개인방송 서비스 보급에 유용할 것으로 기대된다.

Lightweight Single Image Super-Resolution Convolution Neural Network in Portable Device

  • Super-resolution can improve the clarity of low-resolution (LR) images, which can increase the accuracy of high-level compute vision tasks. Portable devices have low computing power and storage performance. Large-scale neural network super-resolution methods are not suitable for portable devices. In order to save the computational cost and the number of parameters, Lightweight image processing method can improve the processing speed of portable devices. Therefore, we propose the Enhanced Information Multiple Distillation Network (EIMDN) to adapt lower delay and cost. The EIMDN takes feedback mechanism as the framework and obtains low level features through high level features. Further, we replace the feature extraction convolution operation in Information Multiple Distillation Block (IMDB), with Ghost module, and propose the Enhanced Information Multiple Distillation Block (EIMDB) to reduce the amount of calculation and the number of parameters. Finally, coordinate attention (CA) is used at the end of IMDB and EIMDB to enhance the important information extraction from Spaces and channels. Experimental results show that our proposed can achieve convergence faster with fewer parameters and computation, compared with other lightweight super-resolution methods. Under the condition of higher peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and higher structural similarity (SSIM), the performance of network reconstruction image texture and target contour is significantly improved.

A Novel Automatic Block-based Multi-focus Image Fusion via Genetic Algorithm

  • The key issue of block-based multi-focus image fusion is to determine the size of the sub-block because different sizes of the sub-block will lead to different fusion effects. To solve this problem, this paper presents a novel genetic algorithm (GA) based multi-focus image fusion method, in which the block size can be automatically found. In our method, the Sum-modified-Laplacian (SML) is selected as an evaluation criterion to measure the clarity of the image sub-block, and the edge information retention is employed to calculate the fitness of each individual. Then, through the selection, crossover and mutation procedures of the GA, we can obtain the optimal solution for the sub-block, which is finally used to fuse the images. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the traditional methods, including the average, gradient pyramid, discrete wavelet transform (DWT), shift invariant DWT (SIDWT) and two existing GA-based methods in terms of both the visual subjective evaluation and the objective evaluation.

  • Purpose - This study illustrates research product industrial engineering, which needs to be promoted to encourage knowledge intensive businesses. Research traditions related to industrial business products and a fuzzy multi criteria decision approach in technology management for product design industries have undergone continuous changes over time. However, there is no clarity on the present situation, and there is a need to reform business enterprises. Research design, data, and methodology - Using fuzzy theory and appraising multi-goal plans, the manner of promoting the competitive advantage of industrial businesses is analyzed using a case study. In the case study, various aspects are examined, such as product design and manufacture, fuzzy set decisions with multi attribute policy making, flaws in the present system, and a review of the related literature. Results - New fuzzy and multi criteria designs can improve the existing keyboard by solving product problems, resulting in a clear and durable typeface for a creative LED keyboard. Conclusion - Using a fuzzy set with multi attribute policy-making influences the achievements appraisal system and can help achieve the anticipated strategy goal of product design.
